Good Trouble Lives On DALLAS: July 18

DALLAS FOLKS! The fight to protect voting rights never ends, and right now, we’re witnessing a Jim-Crow-era effort from politicians and their billionaire friends to restrict our freedoms, silence our voices, and consolidate power.

But in America, we choose our leaders. We will decide our future. The same spirit that fueled Selma, Montgomery, and the March on Washington lives on in our unified action.

Coined by civil rights icon Congressman John Lewis, Good Trouble is the act of coming together to take peaceful, non-violent action to challenge injustice. The power of collective non-violent action resulted in the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, and we must maintain that same collective action to fight for voting rights today.

Six years after the passing of Congressman Lewis, we're organizing an event in our Dallas community to carry the torch, continue the legacy of John Lewis, and pass it forward to future generations. Join us!

PLEASE NOTE: 1. Any changes will be promptly communicated. 2. Event updates will be emailed and posted on Indivisible Dallas social media platforms as the date nears.

A core principle behind all Good Trouble Lives On events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

On July 7, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Houston while driving a work van with his crew. On July 13, ICE fatally shot 26-year-old Johan Sebastian Guerrero in Biddeford, Maine — his wife and toddler forced to witness his murder.

Both men were beloved members of their communities, killed on their way to work. Join us for a vigil to demand Justice for Lorenzo. Justice for Johan. Justice for All. ICE Out.

ICE OUT - Keep the pressure on Love Field and Atlantic Aviation - SAT 6/27 @ 10am

Post image
44 Upvotes

ICE takes more people in DALLAS COUNTY than ANYWHERE in the NATION - 18,159 PEOPLE! They can do that in Dallas because hangars and airlines enable the movement of detained people (without due process) between internment camps and through deportation.

Show up to DEMAND Atlantic Aviation stop helping ICE deport North Texas residents and separate families at Love Field Airport in the heart of Dallas!

They've helped ICE fly OVER 130 FLIGHTS 7* in 2026 already and are showing no signs of slowing down!

📆 SAT 6/27 @ 10am - 12pm

📍Bachman Lake on the south side at the corner of Shorecrest Dr. & Weiss St.

🚙Plenty of street parking and handicap spaces at the Dallas Rowing Club. (please park on the street if not using the handicap spaces)

Alisa Simmons held a press conference with the victims families: there were 3 jail deaths in Tarrant County this week. Over 75 people have died since Waybourn became sheriff in 2017, far more than other counties on a relative population basis.

BANS OFF OUR BODIES

Post image
33 Upvotes

DALLAS! June 24th marks the anniversary of the Dobbs decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade and ended nearly 50 years of federally protected abortion rights. Almost four years ago, the Supreme Court took a right women had held for nearly 50 years.

Today 13 states enforce near-total bans and dozens more restrict abortion in some way, so where a woman lives now decides whether she controls her own body.

Our Messaging: 1. Pro-abortion. 2. Pro-healthcare. 3.
Pro-democracy.

Visibility Brigade Dallas will supply a large message for passing traffic. Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas will share opportunities to support their great work!
You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own signs.

📆 Wednesday, June 24
⏰ 5pm - 7pm
📍Northaven Trail Bridge (use Studio Movie Grill off 75 @ Royal as a guide)

gather outside Atlantic Aviation HQ to demand an end to their partnership with ICE.

As a fixed-base operator at Dallas Love Field, Atlantic has provided refueling and maintenance services for ICE as they kidnap and deport immigrant families. The company is on track to facilitate nearly 300 flights by the end of 2026, which would inflict immeasurable harm on our friends, neighbors, and loved ones. We won't rest until they terminate this arrangement.

Millions of eyes are on DFW as the World Cup unfolds. Join us as we show Atlantic and the global community that North Texas will always meet fascism and ethnic cleansing with resistance.

Ted Cruz's office

This morning (6/16) two friends & I went to Cruz's office to give him a petition telling congress to Hold DOGE Accountable. We went to the address on his website. We asked a man there how to use the elevators. (You needed an ID). He said Ted Cruz has not been in that building in YEARS!. WTF?? Where is he? How is his constituents supposed to converse with him? Why is that address still on his website?
