GEORGIA lithonia georgia dds question
did anyone get their drivers license at Rockbridge Lithonia’s DDS, if so please tell me what all you had to do
(Post preciously rescinded: effective date)
On July 16th DMV began notifying applicants that their commercial driver license or commercial learners permit will be canceled within 30 days of the date on their letter.
An appointment must be made with a DMV Investigations office. Do NOT visit a regular field office unless downgrading to non commercial class c.
At the time of their appointment applicants will be required to complete all knowledge tests during their appointment.
If the license or permit is subsequently cancelled for non compliance or failure all knowledge and skill tests will be required in addition to the application fee and required identity and residency documents.

Driver rear metal part pushed in, blocking the rear door from opening, hatch back trunk also shows a gap. tail light busted.
Will a hydraulic pull (mechanic/body shop guy said he can do it on my budget) pass the strict California VSSI? I read structural specs must be accurate down to the millimeter. Will it fail immediately if the gaps aren't perfect?
Is it worth the risk to keep the total loss and fix this, or is VSSI too strict for a DIY/budget frame pull?

Pretty much the title. Really odd. I Got my North Carolina license last August (was Pennsylvania before) and I went to go switch insurer's this past week.
When I looked again at the statement they gave me, premiums SKYROCKETED because the reporting from the DMV is saying that I have had my license less than 1 year. I have had it since I was 16 and I turn 30 next month.
Has anybody seen or heard this before? Should I go to the DMV? What in the world should I do? What do I bring to bring proof of having a license for 14 years???

Hi. We live in Monroe county. Last fall my daughter purchased a used car. Registering it and getting new plates cost her like $540. Today her boyfriend did the same, registered a used car that he bought and got new plates, and he paid less than $400. But I’m just curious, does anyone know why there would be such a huge cost difference for the exact same scenario?

So, I have a car registered in PA with PA plates, PA inspection. I live in NY state, with a NY state license. When I went to get everything changed, my lienholder refused to transfer to NY. So I have a NY license with PA registration and plates.
However, my stepmom is a co-signer on the vehicle so technically owns it, and I also have a NYS insurance policy.
Obviously, this is complicated and to switch it to NY I would have to refinance the vehicle. But, can I even register it in NY since my stepmom is still technically an owner and lives in PA?
Is there anything I have to worry about with this?

Hi everyone!! I bought a used car out of state in Utah and had it delivered to me here in California. I paid in full with cash, so there’s no loan or lien involved.
The problem is I still haven’t received the title. The dealership originally told me it could take up to 45 days, but that passed on July 10. When I called back, they changed it and said it can take up to 60 days instead.
The dealership told me they’ve already sent everything to the Utah DMV to finalize the title/paperwork, and apparently the utah dmv takes awhile to finalize all that?. I’m not really sure what that means or if that’s normal? I thought they would just send it towards the california DMV.
This Saturday (July 25) will be 60 days, and I’m honestly not sure what to do next. I have the car, the bill of sale, temporary registration, and all of the paperwork from the purchase, but I can’t register it without the title.
Has this happened to anyone else? Is it normal for the Utah DMV to take this long? If 60 days passes and I still don’t have the title, what should my next step be?
Any advice would be appreciated because I’m feeling pretty lost at this point.

I just got a REAL ID last year, do I need to resubmit my proof of identification and residency if I already did that for my REAL ID when applying for my first time DL?
Does anyone know the route for the road test in Madison 100 plaza Blvd? Im taking the road test this Friday and trying to prepare. Tips are also welcomed 😁
If anyone is available to teach me I'll gladly appreciate it!

Hello everyone. Just wanting some insight here. I’m from South Carolina and purchased a car in California. The car is already in my possession.
It was a “private” sell but I decided use a middle-man as I wanted to be sure everything goes smoothly, a fairly reputable dealership in California that sells a lot of BMW M/AMG’s/etc. Key part is I am in communication with the owner of this business.
So essentially, I purchased the car through the dealer. Under their LLC, everything. All paper work. I paid sales tax/title registration and handling. And they said they’ll handle registering my car etc in my state. The thing is, it’s been a very “reactive” type of business. Things doesn’t get moving unless I have to check in. Couple examples. The truck for car delivery was suppose to be ordered, but when I asked for an update, he ordered it that day. No biggie. They forgot to send me my 2nd key, told me they would. 3 weeks later, I had to follow up for them to tell me they had forgotten. So it’s sent out now. So whatever.
What I really want to know is, am I overthinking. They send me my DMV paperwork to sign on June 26th. That’s the last thing I’ve signed for them to get the registration going. Here we are, July 22nd. Now I’m not expecting my plates or anything, as it may take a few weeks. BUT what I want to know is simple, have they mailed out the paperwork because the Calj plates I have on the car are expired now. So when I ask politely. Hey, did you guys happen to send out the DMV paperwork to my DMV HQ, the question NEVER gets answered. I called and left the financing manager a voicemail. Texted him. No answer, no follow up. Texted the owner. The owner will literally respond to tell me “hey I sent you key out” but ignores the question about sending the paperwork..? All I want to know is if it’s sent out lol. So I told myself ima give it till Friday and I’ll just have to be more firm. Or am I overthinking? What can I do? Keep waiting?

Saw this post earlier and see it says all test. I hold a CDL and am currently dealing with this whole deal. Has anyone has already dealt with this already or have any information. Do I need to redo Class C, Class A & endorsements? Or is it just CDL tests?

I filled out an MV-44 and sent it in in April. My license was revoked a year ago. Under “purpose for application” I selected “renew”instead of “new”. After more research it seems like I may have selected the wrong thing.
they sent me a letter saying I missed a question but nothing said I should change “renew” to “new”. Should I still change my answer or leave it as is?

Called DMV to see if my license can be sent but they have no record of issuing a license. My learner's permit is now expired and I took my road test and passed January 2025, just used the temp card while I was driving last year (not really actively driving now). On the phone they said I have to go into an office in person. What can I expect? Do I have any recourse against redoing all my tests and courses since it's been over a year? I was told the license would be automatically issued and come in the mail but it was never sent and no additional info was asked of me by DMV.
Thanks

I recently received a speeding ticket for 1-5 mph over the limit, reduced from 10 mph over, while driving on a temporary restricted license.
My regular license is currently revoked due to an OWI, but I have an active TRL. The trooper advised me to contact the Iowa DOT to determine how the ticket could affect my TRL and future reinstatement. A few attorneys I spoke with recommended getting clarification from the DOT before deciding whether to pay the ticket or plead not guilty.
Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? Did the speeding conviction affect your TRL, extend your revocation, or delay reinstatement?
I understand that Reddit is not a substitute for legal advice. I’m mainly looking for similar experiences and information on what questions to ask the DOT.

I'm in PA. I was in an accident and my vehicle was totaled. My registration was expired by a few days. Do I have to send my plate back into the state or can I keep it? I've already gotten a new car and my old car is already at the salvage lot.

Just trying to make sure I fill this out correctly. My father in law help me get a truck I have since refinance it. When I did that they should have remove him but didn’t so now I’m trying to do it. Just two questions. Top section would it still fall under delete family member? In laws doesn’t show ok examples. Bottom section since it’s a diesel truck I just put exempt because diesel right?

Hi everyone, I recently moved to UT Dallas as a J-1 postdoc from another state and have an out-of-state driver's license. With all the recent discussions about Texas REAL ID and visa issues, I'm a bit worried. Has anyone in the last couple of months (J-1 or F-1) successfully transferred their out-of-state license to a Texas driver's license? My visa stamp is expired, but I'm in valid status with a current DS-2019 and I-94. If you recently did it, which DPS office did you go to, and was the process smooth?
Thanks!

My friend and I just picked up a 2022 Honda Grom with a Georgia dealer bill of sale but it hadn’t been registered. We were told since it hadn’t been registered in SC we can take it to the DMV with a title application form and get everything filed. Should we ask the seller for a personal bill of sale just to cover ourselves as well?
Extra Info: We have the dealer information, however it was initially purchased in 2022. We have the original buyers name and phone number when it was purchased. We have the seller on facebook and his address. We matched the VIN on the frame to the bill of sale. We also ran the VIN and it came back clean with only one Georgia owner.

so it was freeway speed limit was 70 i was going 95 ish the entire way cuz there were barely any cars. at one point, i hit 97 and a cop spawned out of nowhere and i got a citation. i feel terrible now cuz of the ticket cost and insurance going up (my parents still pay for all this so i feel guilty). this happened on July 1. I have two questions.
i know 25 is the limit for traffic school. is there any way the judge will accept me cuz i’m at 27? what’s the process like to request the judge for an exception?
i went to the website and tried to find my citation by typing in the citation number, my personal information, and also my license number. it didn’t pop up despite trying those 3 different ways. what does this mean? the deadline to pay is in around a week btw
thanks in advance. some comments r prolly gonna grill me for speeding, which is valid.
