Got my technics fully serviced recently and back like brand new. Picked up a denon prime 4+ few months back and I am loving the mix of old and new school tech. I can mix my records with the unit and also stream in the all in one unit. Mind is blown after years of having to get vinyl or burn cds to dj with.

Looking some suggestions for the wall behind the booth?

I got a heck of a deal on some CDJ 2000 Nexus units and a djm 900 Nexus with the protective skins already installed. Everything works great as expected. I've only had one USB crash so far but that just solidifies the need to bring two or more USBS with you to shows.

Also I repurposed my flx4 to use with my desktop for playlists and testing transition to make sure everything sounds good before actually exporting to a USB and playing on the cdjs. I love how portable the flx4 is but it really doesn't Translate to Club gear outside of the basic EQ layout.

I really think the CDJ 2000 Nexus is a sweet spot for an entry-level to club gear, because not every club's going to have a 3000 and everything on the 2000 Nexus will translate to the Nexus 2 and the 3000 Series pretty much identical except for hot cues on the 3000 layout. But as far as effects and eq'ing and Tempo bars and everything else it's pretty darn clean.

Before I got these I have played on 3000s and Nexus 2s and even the xdj 1000s at open deck nights, and my next step is to get an upgraded audio setup especially to hear and feel that low end so I know what to expect when I'm in front of a crowd.

Comes out every so often. Got a spot in August so trying to put a little set together. Nothing special just a classic 2d1m

I moved everything I to a new room after the basement got redone. The JBLs suit the space much differently and my records were downsized a third time.

That was the first time I played with the V10. It was a delight! Also a cool booth in general. If you didn't need the turntables, you could pull the whole shelf with the other devices forward.

It´s quite different than the new one, but have enjoy a lot this weekend making improvisated sets.

The mixtable has like 30 years, the players are newer.

We spotted this secret location 4/5 months ago and we decided to make our own table and we created this little spot in the forest.

Next steps are:
1. A good portable power generator .
2. some portable light, as for now we literally use our gopros light to illuminate the surrounding.
3. We need to make it more like a “Home” in case of rain and snow this winter

The spot is one hour into the forest, we are pretty sure no one will notice that 😂

Not mine, but a beautifully aesthetic and super warm library setup vibes in the “dome” restaurant at Potatohead in Bali.

Cdj2000nxs2s and Ecler Nuo2 were stuffed into the Pioneer flight case that had to be hacked to get it to fit, a loom was made so it only needs one power socket and is as easy to setup as an all in one, this replaces the xdj700/djm700 setup

I started with vinyl back in 2003, and now I'm mostly using digital.

Continuing to explore options for a portable setup. I replaced by Traktor X1 mk3 for a less compact but much more ergonomic DDJ XP2, full supported by djay pro on my venerable IPad Pro 2018.

I absolutely love it, it fits in a backpack and there’s almost nothing I can’t do except using jog wheels :).

The Z1 mk2 has a really good quality, I played with it on a 3000w sound system last weekend and it sounded amazing.

I was using shitty mp3s for testing, dont look at the trims.

Im pretty sure that It has more functions than the XDJ-AN (if you ignore streaming services)

TUTORIAL:

YOU NEED A usbc hub with at least USB 3.0 ports This is to make sure you can get to charge your steamdeck while playing music.

- download Mixxx on the discover store

(Flatpak or, if you're crazy, download the arch-holo keys, make steamOS open again and use Pacman with a repo where Mixxx Is available)

- search your controller bindings on Mixxx forums.

- paste the .xml and .js files into the bindings folder

- go to settings ---> preferences ---> controllers

- select your controller

(It can appear as two instances but you need the MIDI type)

- choose the bindings you downloaded and then activate It.

Now It should work, maybe with small differences from their native Setup but indeed It should.

Im also using a skin called Pioneered which emulates the CDJ3000nexus or at least a single screen consolle.

IMPORTANT INFO: MIXXX HAS THE BAD HABIT OF CRASHING IF YOU UNPLUG YOUR CONTROLLER, BE CAREFUL WITH THE CABLE OR AT LEAST BUY A GOOD ONE

P.S. I've tried the setup in a friend's car with bluetooth's one sec delay, It still worked perfectly
