Just a friendly reminder for anyone looking for live music around DC. The show is Saturday, August 1, with doors opening at 7:00 PM at Rhizome DC. This episode features Shy Rasheen, who’ll be performing music from his new album, Shyland, alongside featured local artists and an open mic. • Through our political advocacy arm, heraction.org, we’re advocating to end political violence against women on the national stage and in 10 competitive states.
• Our extensive Girls Who Lead (GWL) chapter network is activating college-aged women who are often left behind in the national political conversation.
• GWL Conference and event programming has reached more than 1,000 women and girls.

Now we’re launching our GOTV program to convert this activated base into civic participants who change the face of elected leadership. This event will serve as a both to celebrate what has happened and to think about what comes next!

Hello!

We are an Okinawan drumming group visiting from Madison, Wisconsin. Our group is joined by Imajin: Nakijin Kodomo Daiko, a youth performance group from Nakijin, Okinawa. They came to perform in the Independence Day parades in Philadelphia Yesterday and in DC today, but unfortunately both were cancelled due to the heat.

We are trying to find somewhere we could all still perform together in the DC Area today, but have not had much luck reaching out to many local museums, gardens, etc.

Hi everyone! Next Sunday, June 21st, I'm hosting my first yoga/wellness event in Dupont Circle. I work in digital safety and wellness and the event is meant to be a small way to be more intentional about our time, get off our phones and treat our bodies with care.

After the yoga session, theres a community building event so people can mix, mingle and make new friends and I'll also go over some future events I'm planning/get feedback from everyone.
