Just finished this farrier's rasp chopper with an integral socket handle, wrapped in jute twine with a Turk's head knot bolster and a black walnut cap.

most commercial blades are extremely soft. about 54 hrc or so and the edge just folds over and dulls quickly.

im looking for somebody that can forge some small blades of about a centimeter wide and 4 /5cm long of exeptional hardness. (64 hrc)

these blades will be used only to finish the workpieces and im not worried about chips.
