Every couple of months I get the itch to freshen up my loadout, then I remember what trading was like in the old days and just close the game instead. I've basically run the same setup forever, same ak, same gloves, a knife I grabbed when I started and don't even like anymore, all just sitting there.

Is it even worth bothering now, do people genuinely upgrade cs2 skins over time or does everyone just lock in a loadout and leave it. Not trying to flip for profit, I know you lose a bit every time you move things, I just want the inventory to feel less stale without rebuying from scratch.

I've got a decent chunk of money sitting in my Steam wallet built up over years of selling cards and the odd skin, and I always assumed I'd be able to pull it out eventually. Everything I read now says wallet funds just can't be withdrawn, full stop, you can only spend them on games and market items, which is a bit wild given how much real money moves through that marketplace every day.

So if what I want is to sell CS2 skins for real money rather than more store credit, it sounds like the only path is selling through a third party before the skins ever turn into wallet balance. Is that right, or is there some legitimate way out of the wallet I've missed. Not trying to break anything, I'd just rather have cash than another fifty in credit I'll waste on a sale I didn't need.
