DISCUSSION Why Is Paying With Crypto Still Hard?

Crypto has solved trading, DeFi and moving money across borders but paying for everyday things still feels surprisingly clunky. Is it taxes, regulation, poor UX or simply the fact that most people would rather hold than spend?

or am I completely off here?

SUPPORT - OPEN help with withdraw

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know of a good way to withdraw my money? I have USDT, but I have no idea how to cash it out. I live in Spain, and my funds are basically stuck because I don't really understand how any of this works.

I'm a freelancer, and one of my clients occasionally pays me in USDT, so I'm just looking for the easiest way to convert it into euros and withdraw it to my bank account.

Discussion I talked to some alternative exchanges like BYDFi at Warsaw Next Block Expo, are you guys shifting from non-compliant platforms post-MiCA?

Upvotes

The regulatory landscape in Europe is forcing a lot of retail traders to rethink where they keep their active trading balances. With MiCA standards coming into full effect, many non-compliant platforms are either restricting services or adding massive friction to basic trading functions. This has sent a lot of us looking for viable alternatives that are actually complying with the new rules without ruining the user experience.

During the Next Block Expo in Warsaw earlier this spring, I spent some time talking to different teams at their booths. A few smaller platforms like BYDFi were there sponsoring and pushing for European expansion, which gave me a good chance to ask them directly about compliance plans and regulatory status. They seem to be pushing hard into the European market, which is reassuring given how many platforms are quietly pulling out of the region.

I ended up opening an account to test their spot order book depth for some mid-cap altcoins. While the liquidity is obviously not as deep as Coinbase, the spreads were tight enough for standard retail size, and the interface is incredibly lightweight. Finding a platform that balances compliance with a smooth, non-bloated UI is getting harder in Europe, so seeing them active at these local expos is a promising sign.

Built a Momemtum board for Crypto

I have been trading Crypto for a long time and always felt I lacked a solid board for a quick Momemtum overview - something that isn't just the fear/greed index. Something I continiously can update and improve. So I built Koryu.

This is one of many turning points the past year; a market drops hard, consolidates for a little but finds not support further up.

The crypto market is defined by one thing in my mind; Momentum and gates. You trade the upwards cycles and short in the bear market. It is defined by it's 4 year cycle and has been for a long time. However, it's starting to crack - soon enabling stock like scorings - which is quite nice.

There is no better test than to let it out into the public. So please give it a go. Let me know if you lack anything or something that can be done smarter. Anything.

Currently I have a bot behind it which trades the boards. Up 15% in 6 days(much wow!). But as we all know in Crypto. Tomorrow it's probs all gone.

(Still designing the page; so might be areas which work less well/a day or two behind. I built algorithms for the past 10 years and I had Claude pop out a first draft website - the perfect co-worker.)

So; see it as an alpha version - but hey! It's free!

DISCUSSION Market's down today, feels like it's more oil/geopolitics than crypto-specific

Crypto's down about 1% today, total market cap sitting around 2.24T. From what I'm seeing, it's less about anything crypto-specific and more that the S&P kept climbing and pulled money into stocks instead. Also oil jumped above $85 today, highest since mid-June, tied to the Iran situation escalating, which is reviving inflation worries and pushing people toward safer assets in general. Interesting part though, BTC dominance is actually climbing while alts bleed, so even within crypto it's a bit of a flight-to-safety pattern happening.

Does anyone else feel like today's move is more "outside noise" than anything actually crypto related?

FUNDAMENTALS Bitcoin is up this week while every big US stock index is down. I run a daily cross-asset regime model to check whether 'crypto is decoupling' is real. It says no, and here is why.

I track a cross-asset regime model every day. It scores the backdrop from growth, liquidity, risk appetite and volatility, and ranks moves against their own history. This week threw up a clean split, so I dug into whether it means anything.

Over the past week: Bitcoin +1.9%, Ethereum +2.6%, Solana +0.7%. Every major US stock index went the other way: S&P 500 -1.0%, Nasdaq 100 -2.2%, Dow -1.3%, Russell 2000 -0.4%. Two things that usually move together split.

The tempting read is that crypto is decoupling, or trading like a macro hedge again. The regime model says otherwise. It still reads Neutral with no transition, the same as it has for weeks. If this were a macro event repricing all risk, the regime would be the first place it shows up, and it has not. So it looks like two separate stories landing in the same week:

- Stocks: a concentrated selloff led by big technology and semiconductor names. The Nasdaq fell the most, the small-cap Russell the least, and high-yield credit spreads stayed tight near 2.73%. That is not what a broad growth scare looks like, and recent US data (jobless claims, June retail sales) actually beat.

- Crypto: steady spot Bitcoin ETF demand plus crypto-specific flows, unrelated to the chip trade that dragged the Nasdaq.

The honest counter-evidence, because it matters: the backdrop does not cleanly favor crypto either. The 10-year real yield is about 2.31% (restrictive), and prediction markets price no Fed rate cut this year at about 85%. That setting should weigh on crypto, and it rose anyway, which tells you the bid is its own flow rather than a rates tailwind. And idiosyncratic does not mean short-lived: if the semiconductor repricing is a real earnings-outlook shift, the split can persist.

The single number I am watching next is the rolling Bitcoin to S&P 500 correlation. It normally runs positive. A quick snap back would say this was two stories briefly pointing apart; weeks apart while the regime flips would say more.

TOOL Built an AI coach that predicts my trading mistakes before I make them, need genuine feedback on whether the predictions actually hold up

Longtime trader, order flow mostly. I journaled for years and the honest conclusion was that logging trades didn't change my behavior. My own journal showed me a month with 7 trades, 0 percent win rate, minus 248, including 3 entries without a stop loss that I would have sworn was one trade. Knowing my process wasn't the problem, following it under pressure was.

So I built the thing I actually needed. It's called DojiPad, and the core of it is DJ, a coach that works forward instead of backward. Before your session it writes a falsifiable prediction about your behavior, something like if your first trade loses you'll re-enter the same direction within 15 minutes. Then it scores its own prediction against your real fills. The point is you can measure whether the coaching is right about you specifically, instead of taking generic advice on faith.

Full disclosure, I'm the founder. There are 30 plus traders on it, scalpers, swing, crypto, futures, and the predictions are scoring well across the board. But being straight, 30 people spread over that many styles is only a handful per style, and that's not enough to stand behind claims like it nails scalper tilt or it reads swing traders well. The overall numbers look good, the per style picture needs way more traders.

So I'm growing the group properly. Just comment here and I'll set you up. And if the predictions whiff on your style, that's honestly the most useful thing you can tell me.

DISCUSSION Exploring My First Memecoin: Is Useless Coin Worth It?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been thinking about getting into my first memecoin and recently came across Useless Coin. It actually aligns pretty closely with how I view meme coins more about community and humor than traditional utility.

That said, I’m still new to this space and want to make sure I’m considering all my options. Are there other memecoins you’d recommend looking into? Any insights or suggestions would be really appreciated.

DISCUSSION USDT bad idea?

Aren't you scary about how USDT is being hated over USDC? Of course, because they are doing the things bad, not having MICA regulation to work in Europe, it's having issues following USA regulations.

Its price is under USDC price, you can see in exchanges and swappers.

Top TVL pools in big dex's are heavily inclined to USDC pools over USDT ones.

Should I move all my stablecoins to USDC? Or am I just being paranoid?

Bottom signals, Institutional access to Bitcoin, and National Debt ATH— this past week in Bitcoin

Tracked a few MAJOR Bitcoin details from the last week and wanted to share them here:

Hold $60k and the floor stays solid. Bitcoin has consolidated in this exact zone going back to 2021 and 2022. If the monthly closes above it, things start looking healthy.

The capitulation read. Relative long/short-term holder realized profit/loss to exchanges spiked to a level we haven't seen since Nov/Dec 2022, which marked the exact cycle bottom. We've seen multiple bitcoin bottom indicators flash over the last month.

Institutional access keeps widening. Morgan Stanley rolled out spot BTC trading on E*Trade to roughly 8.6M clients. T. Rowe Price launched an actively managed spot crypto ETP with ~40% in Bitcoin. Both in the same week, in a bear market.

South Korea. Their new National Asset Basic Act brings digital assets under government asset management for the first time since 1950. This is a management law, not a strategic reserve. Pair this with Japan moving toward Bitcoin ETFs last week, and this becomes meaningful as Asia's biggest economies are quietly building Bitcoin into their financial systems.

Debasement continues. M2 money supply hit a new all-time high of $23.05T. National debt around $39.4T.

There is a lot of Bitcoin noise out there....I send out 5 charts, tweets, and takes every Sunday:

SENTIMENT I got tired of using 10 different apps to understand the market, so I built one

I realized I was spending way too much time jumping between X, news sites, crypto dashboards and economic calendars just to understand what was actually happening.

So I built Pulse.

The idea is pretty simple: get the important market information in one place without another endless feed.

It includes:

• AI Morning & Evening Briefings
• Real-time market alerts
• Risk-On / Risk-Off Market Regime
• Decision Radar: Watch / Wait / Avoid
• Whale Flow & Liquidation Map
• Fear & Greed + Altcoin Season Index
• Economic Calendar
• Audio Briefings

The part I care about most is context.

I don't just want to know that something happened. I want to know why it matters, how markets are reacting, and what to watch next.

Still early and I'm actively improving it, so I'd genuinely appreciate feedback.

You can now swap in and out of Robinhood Chain in seconds. I ran 250 USDC into tokenized AAPL and back out to ETH, here is what it actually cost

So I build a swap comparator (solo founder, name's in my profile, keeping the body link-free per the rules here), and this week I added Robinhood Chain, the L2 where Robinhood's tokenized stocks live on-chain. Then I spent my own money testing whether you can actually get in and out of it. Short version: yes, and one number surprised me.

Going in: 250 USDC on Base became 0.7517 tokenized AAPL in one swap. About a second of routing, $1.74 in fees, and the exact amount was guaranteed on screen before I signed anything. No account anywhere in the process, just a connected wallet.

Coming back out is where it got interesting. I sold 8 AAPL back to ETH on Base and two aggregators quoted executable routes side by side, best one guaranteed 1.348 ETH. The gap between the two quotes was $7.37. On one swap. Same trade, same moment, seven dollars apart depending on which router you happen to pick. That spread is the whole reason I built a comparison page in the first place.

For context on why "seconds" matters: the official way out of an Orbit chain has a challenge period measured in days. Bridges front you the liquidity on the other side instead, that's the service those fees pay for. And nothing I run ever touches funds: you sign straight to the bridges' own contracts, and every transaction target gets checked against an allowlist before it reaches your wallet.

Two things I learned the expensive way. Gas on Robinhood Chain is paid in ETH that has to already BE on the chain: I bridged my AAPL in first and it just sat there, unsellable, until I sent 3 dollars of ETH over. Bring gas first. And tokenized stocks are securities in most places, their issuer doesn't offer them to US persons, whether you're allowed to hold one is on you. I compare routes, I'm not a broker.

Ask me whatever, I'm around.

edit: cleaned up the wording

Discussion Best RWA platforms for actual trading?

Seeing more exchanges and apps offer tokenised RWAs now. I’ve been looking at metals.io because tokenised metals are easier for me to understand than some of the credit products. Has anyone used it? Any platforms with decent liquidity/spreads?
