NEED RECS 70s country like Michael Nesmith?
Most of the country I listen to is Michael Nesmith's solo stuff, or his country songs from The Monkee days. I would love to listen to similar artists/albums!

ARTICLE / INTERVIEW Saving Country Music reviews Under The Big Sky festival; loads of great artists named within
When Saving Country Music does these festival reviews, it's always a great place to find new music to listen to. This one contains some really big independent country artists but also quite a few folks I haven't heard of. Looks like an amazing festival.

Happy Wednesday! Western Wednesday, this Wednesday and every Wednesday!
Western swing, Out West, Wild West, songs about Texas, artists from out West, cowboys, even the sounds of spaghetti western... sometimes we'll post Canadian western artists, sometimes Native American country artists from the western states (that's a whole subgenre of country music by the way), cowboy poetry, Red Dirt artists, and much more
Other weekly themes on this sub:
Blue Monday, every monday: bluegrass, country blues, and blue in general. A little rockabilly.
Honky Tonk Saturday: what it says on the tin, honky tonk country music and a little Bakersfield Sound.
Click on the flair (the colored tags above some posts) to see past posts with the same themes.

SELF PROMO Briscoe - 2026 Tour Setlist Playlists
Hey Y'all -
I am a huge fan of this Austin based folk/country duo named Briscoe: I think their music is so dynamic and authentic, and love the mix of covers they play on tour (TONS of waylon jennings, johnny cash, johnny bush, and the likes). I'm creating a little working library of their setlists from the massive 2026 tour they just kicked off: if you're a fellow Briscoe fan, or looking for a new favorite band (that you can actually afford to see in concert lol) and want to follow along here's the link to my spotify profile below!

need help finding an old music video from when i was a toddler
me and my sisters used to watch music videos off our computer and there’s a specific one i have been trying to find basically my whole life when it pops up in my head.
essentially it is a young couple, girl is a brunette with straight long hair
i believe he used to be a bull rider and got hurt and everything became a blur. a good portion of the music video is in a ranch setting with black gate/rings.
no it’s not “the bull” or “bucked off”. most of it was set outside
