exactly what the title asks. does hendrix college own and manage that area, or is it city-run?

i'm trying to figure out who to contact about organizing some kind of clean up and asking for more trash bins/weekly pickup in the park itself. it's absolutely full of garbage right now, including people just dumping boxes full of trash after buying something from walmart and taking whatever it is they bought out. then they just toss the box and other packing stuff on the side of the road. hendrix makes so much money off this area, it's absurd they can't even put a LITTLE bit of that back into keeping their area clean.

edit: by "this area," i meant the area around the preserve, including the village, apartments, and homes. hendrix college makes a ton of money off the area (which used to be forests), not just the preserve.

edit 2: thanks y'all, i think i have a good idea of where to go from here, so i'll just say if anyone wants to go with me to clean up local creeks, parks, etc, my dms are open. i try to get out there at least a couple times a month.

As the title says, the power went out about 30 minutes ago from Conway Commons all the way to Hobby Lobby, does anyone know what happened?

I hope this doesn’t come off as weird lol does anybody remember that black man that would dance on the street corners all over town? It was like 2 years ago. He was such a vibe and always made me smile!! I just haven’t seen him in so long and I wonder how he’s doing and always was curious what his story was. Just wanted to know if anybody knew how he was and if he’s well. Figured since i don’t have facebook this would be a good place to ask!

I’ve had a dry throat for the last two weeks and assumed I might be getting sick or dehydrated, but 1) I noticed it feels worse when I drink tap water but not bottled and 2) there’s everything going on with the curtailment and source blending.

I tried reaching out to Conway Corp and they understandably told me to see a doctor and predictably said it couldn’t be them, I just wanted to see if maybe it is just me and my household or if others noticed it, too.

I am currently unemployed answer to be homeless and seeking honest work of any kind. While I may not have extensive experience, I am eager to learn, work hard, and demonstrate my reliability.

I live with social anxiety, which I have learned to manage effectively. It does not prevent me from working. I am dependable, honest, and committed to giving every job my best effort. I have applied for SSI today and was told it will take 3 to 5 months before I know if I'm approved or denied.

It is important to me to stay focused and continue moving forward as I work toward a better future. At this time, my only transportation is my bicycle or walking, so positions within a few miles of my current location are the most accessible for me.

If you are aware of any opportunities for day labor, yard work, moving assistance, cleaning, or other honest work, I would sincerely appreciate the opportunity to be considered.

We super don’t enjoy hosting yard sales, and we’ve got a lot of stuff that need to get gone. Lucky for you, we’re pushing everything out to the front lawn on July 11th with the hope that everything can go away.

PLEASE, help us make this stuff go away.

We plan for this to be a one day event only, with a good variety of items that need new homes.

These items include, but are not limited to, a spa-grade foot bath, cabinets and small furniture, backpacks, vintage toys, craft and embroidery supplies, kitchen storage items, bathroom mirror cabinet, wire racks for peg board, countertops, throw pillows, super nice travel bags, passenger van heat shields (Ford Transit passenger van mostly), bedroom storage, a dog grooming table, miscellaneous glass jars, fairy garden stuff, hydroponic gardens, a large PVC hydroponic garden setup, gardening supplies, etc etc etc… You get the idea.

The Inconceivable Yard Sale recently… got upgraded to the Inconceivable NEIGHBORHOOD SALE!!! That’s right, this is much bigger than just one stop. We got the neighbors in on it.

We are exhausted and still going through cabinets and rounding items up. Please come have fun storming the yard sale!!

Are we taking bets on what caused it? My guess is oopsie while doing maintenance somewhere else.

Received a record player that looks very similar to this one. It’s super vintage as it’s a Motorola record player. My wife wants to get it to work if possible. Does anyone know who could possibly come and get it to work in the Conway area?

I’m considering scheduling one, but I’m trying to understand how detailed it actually is before I bother.

I’m especially interested in whether they do real diagnostic testing or more of a visual walk-through. For anyone who has had one done:

• Did they do a blower-door test for whole-house air leakage?
• Did they test duct leakage with a duct blaster, or just look at the ductwork?
• Did they measure HVAC performance, like temperature split, airflow, static pressure, etc.?
• Did the final report include actual numbers, or mostly general recommendations?
• Did they push the 0% loan/upgrades, or was it genuinely just informational?
• Did you end up doing any of the recommended work, and did it noticeably help your bill or comfort?

I’m not against the program. I just want to know whether it’s a real building-science type audit or more of a basic inspection/checklist.

Any firsthand experience would be helpful.

I noticed that the "Village @ Pickle's Gap" sign is gone and the old windmill "Pickle's Gap Village" sign is back. Also, the Charlie Kirk mural has been painted over. Did that have an ownership change? I've lived out that way 20 years and have never seen that place as busy as it has been in the last year.

deciding on where to move next year. saw this place and the 1x1 looks great. anybody know anything about this place? any complaints?
