Hello there, I am a future WINTER INTAKE student , I would REALLY appreciate it if someone can answer the following 4 questions.
2. Say I can’t register into a course because of its pre-requisites , Do i have to clear the prerequisite first and If I do, wouldn’t I fall behind my other mates generally because I have to clear the prerequisite first and then take the actual course on the course sequence
How do i know what prof is good and bad?
If i TOOK the topics of course , lets say PHYSICS 205 , in high school, should i apply for a credit transfer even though i took and passed the contents of the course but not the COURSE itself
Preciate it ❤️👍🏾

Hello, I'm currently waitlisted at 148/150 for Phys 284 for the fall. Is there any chance of me getting in?

I'm an international student from the U.S. supposed to start classes in the fall but I'm really worried about not being able to get my study permit since my CAQ still hasn't come in. Luckily I live close enough to the border that I should be able to get my study permit there rather than having to wait the processing time required in an online application, however, I still of course need the CAQ. I had to resubmit over snail mail after being rejected for lack of sufficient documents in mid-May. As I'm sure others are aware, calling and asking about an estimated processing time given the passage of the 25 business days provides no new information. Is anyone else in a similar situation, or has been before? I'm just super worried. Thank you all.

i’m looking for an affordable tutor for the full semester(1-2x a week). a tutor to test/quiz me to see where i am & where i can improve, organized, patient and can diversify learning.
I am adhd, learning is a bit different for me. I'm a conceptual, big-picture learner. I understand and retain information best when I first understand the "why" behind a concept and how it connects to the larger system. Visual explanations like diagrams, flowcharts, and drawings help me a lot, and I learn well through discussion where I can ask questions and think through ideas rather than simply being told the answer. I do best when lessons are structured, build from foundational concepts, and include real-world examples or applications. Memorization is much easier for me once I understand the underlying logic.
if you’re someone who can help support me, preferably hybrid (irl & hybrid) dm me w ur rate or if you have a package for the full semester lmk

Curious about how people are chosen since theres no actual documentation of this- especially for JMSB, does anyone have any info or stories to share?
Minimum GPA? How competitive is it? Are there interviews..etc

During my last work term, I had applied to hundreds of jobs, I realized I was spending almost as much time updating spreadsheets as I was actually applying.
After that many applications I’d start getting confused and asking myself, did I already apply here? Did they ever reply? How many applications have I actually sent?
Tracking all of these applications between LinkedIn, Indeed, Compass, etc. became too much.
I tried using spreadsheets and a few existing trackers, but they all felt like they required too much setup for something I wanted to update in a few seconds.
So I ended up building FiveSecondTracker, a simple job application tracker focused on one thing: making it ridiculously quick to log and manage applications.
Using the site alongside the chrome extension, I saved so much time and so many unnecessary headaches by using this. I’m sharing it here to hopefully help others who experience the same thing.
Although it is fully functional and secure, I’m still improving it and would appreciate feedback from other job seekers. If you’ve struggled with keeping track of applications, I’d love to hear what features you wish a tracker had.

Does anybody know if the midterm is open book (course materials provided in moodle only)?
r/Concordia • u/madjiiiiid • 22h ago
Hi, so I'm coming to Concordia from outside Canada to pursue my Beng, and i have been admitted in the ECP.
However I have completed the année prepa at polymtl which i believe is an equivalent to the ECP
Is there a way to be exempted from these ? And how

Hey everyone,
I’m trying to figure out what English-language course options are available outside of Concordia for the Aerospace Master’s program (other than at McGill).
As I understand it, we need to take two courses at other universities, with a maximum of one course at each institution (ÉTS, Polytechnique Montréal, or McGill).
I’m planning to take one course at McGill, so I’m wondering if anyone knows of any English-taught courses at ÉTS or Polytechnique that are eligible. If you’ve gone through this process or are currently in the program, I’d really appreciate any advice or recommendations.
Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,
I’m wondering if a professor can refuse an academic accommodation when I provide a valid medical note.
I missed a midterm due to a medical issue, but I cannot use the Short-Term Absence Form because the exam is worth slightly more than 30% of the final grade.
Can a professor refuse to shift the weight of the midterm to the final exam even with medical documentation, or are they required to provide a reasonable alternative accommodation?
Has anyone at Concordia experienced a similar situation?
Thanks!
