Hey there. There's been quite a few posts promising paid work, but requesting a free trial first ("so we can see if our styles and working chemistry are a good fit"). They ask for a page or two, a cover, or character design. This is almost always scam. The scammer gets free art from a couple artists, but there's no paid follow-up.
Serious projects have paid trials.
If you ever feel like doing a free trial, I recommend collaborating on a short unpaid project instead. That way you won't get scammed and you might find a great collaborator.

Hey there.
With the ever-growing number of scammers, we got to the point of considering the ban of scammers' beloved tool: a private Google Drive folder full of stolen art. There are many free public portfolio hosting alternatives: ArtStation, Behance, Cara, etc., so it's not that much of a loss for other artists.
Or is it?
This is where you can give us your opinion on the matter.
Thanks!

>>Looking to hire a Flatter<< Hello, this is Deathburger, creator-publisher of the Future is Now books. I'm looking for a flatter my upcoming new book, Nightfall.
This is a paid gig, the pages are fairly detailed and complicated, but I need simple flats (Like 6-7 layers max, ie: character 1 layer, ground 1 layer, foreground 1 layer, objects 1 layer, something like that, depending on the page as well) - I'm attaching a couple pages as an example:

I can offer a decent amount of pages or a few, depending on your availability and we can talk rates. Comment below with portfolio and we get this going!

Hello Everyone,
I hope you don't mind me posting.
My name is Matt Garvey and i'm an award winning comic writer with more than 16 years' experince and during that time i have publsihed 30 comics.
Over the last few years, people keep reaching out to me to help them make their comics, which i'm always happy to do...So, during lockdown I created a YouTube channel...and last year i even wrote a book called Making Your First Comic, whcih i kickstarted (it did pretty well), but still people still kept reaching out!
Then it hit me, just like how some people need a personal trainer to help guide (and push), some new comic creators need that level of support too...a mentor if you will.
So, with that in mind, i'm taking 10 new wrinters under my wing to help them create their first comics. Sadly at the moment i can't take on any more, due to the amount of time i can give each of the new writers.
Enrollmenst opend yesterday and i only have a couple of spaces left, so if have ever wanted to make a comic but need some help and guidence, i'm here.
If you want to know more you can chekc it out here: https://garveycomics.com/collections/comic-creator-mentorship-programme
Any questions let me know.
Cheers
Matt

This July marks 36 years since the inception of the ADA(Americans With Disabilities Act). Disabilities don't give a shit about borders so I wanted to create this post to highlight and appreciate all of our comic creators with disabilities. Just for context: 26% of Americans are currently living with a disability either visible or invisible and I'm sure that number carries internationally. And everybody will experience a disabling at some point in their life(old age skill drop off/Death because isn't death the ultimate disability from a living person's perspective?). So let's take this moment to celebrate and show out!
I'm a high-level quadriplegic BTW(no volitional movement below the shoulders). Accessibility technology is at the point where someone like me can essentially create their own comic from scratch(without AI). Specifically to myself I write, letter and design the entire book including the logo while using this sub Reddit to hire different artists. And damn I have collaborated with some awesome artists that I've met on here.
Feel free to ask me what kind of assistive technology I use. I would like for this to exist as a sort of Resource for creators with disabilities to find the tools to give them more independence when it comes to their creation/storytelling as well.
So let's show off and maybe get some Disabled on Disabled collaborations going ha ha!

Hey there! It has been a while since I last drew her. So she is the Mc of my manga “the unknown” that is yet to be out, unfortunately, but i have 2 oneshots already out that you can read right now, (plus one to come)
I really like how this piece turned out, and I am finally planning to start working on the big project soon, since I have already finished writing 60 chapters worth, and planned out about 40 more.
Yeah ik the project is huge, but it is probably my most important and ambitious work ever.
I worked on 5 episodes like 3 years ago before dropping it to focus on improving, so if you remember me from 3 years ago then hell yeahhhh.
What I want to do is work on it and hopefully be able to get a few assistant to help me with it and for that I have to put up a kickstarter to hopefully fund the project or fund it myself.
Yeah enough blabbing, please stand by , and follow me on Instagram, since that is where I upload the most and read my works on my website

Hi, I’m Jayden! i’m kinda new to this subreddit, so i’m not sure if this post will be accepted by the mods, but i wanted to give it a shot 😅😅😅
I’m 17 and a HS graduate. I’m a 2d artist who is weirdly obsessed with movies and series and stuff. I’m currently working on my first debut comic fanfiction titled Amphibia: New Horizons 🐸
I’m currently looking for several writers to help with the full series if the pilot is successful and gets turned into a complete project. Rn I’m mainly looking for writers for the pilot so Issue #1 can hopefully target a 2027 release.
It’s kinda like you’re making a script for an animated series or a movie, and writing scripts isn’t my strongest skill
I’m also looking for people who want to help prevent a series from falling into “development hell.”
This project that I’m working on was originally announced in 2023 as an indie animated series, but after SO many direction and production changes, it was retooled into a comic series
Premise:
“Four years after Anne saved Amphibia, a portal accidentally teleports thirteen-year-old Nelson in the Dark Woods. There, Jack's frog family takes him in, leading him through strange adventures, unexpected friendships, and Amphibia's forgotten corners. As strange events spread across Amphibia, Nelson searches for a way home before someone on Earth opens the wrong door again.”
If anyone is interested, feel free to DM me on Discord ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I’m incredibly excited to finally share the first black-and-white preview of Ashes of Njthera. This project has been growing in my sketchbooks and on my desk for a long time, and seeing these pages come together makes it feel more real than ever. These are just the first steps into Lyra’s journey, and I can’t wait to show you more of the world, the characters, and the story that’s been taking shape. I’d love to have you follow Lyra’s journey through the galaxy as she tries to save her world and whatever is left from this terrible war. You can follow me on Instagram and discover more

Hello. I draw manga. I wanted to show off my beautiful personal project. I like high paced fighting scenes. So sorry if it seems a little messy...

I'm a writer who's been practicing for about two years, and I've been developing an original comic about a disgraced former hero who cleans up the destruction left behind by superhuman battles. What starts as a mundane government job slowly pulls him into conspiracies, crime, and the messy reality behind the world's heroes. I currently have nine chapters written.
I'm looking for a collaborative writing partner to bounce ideas off, help refine the story, and contribute creatively. I'm not looking for someone to write the project for me. I want it to feel like a genuine collaboration.
I should mention up front that I can't offer payment right now. I don't have a credit card or payment apps, so if you're only looking for paid work, I completely understand.
If you're interested in building your portfolio, enjoy collaborating, or just think the project sounds interesting, send me a DM and I'll share what I've written so far.

Hello everyone!
My name is David Avendaño, and I'm a freelance comic artist, illustrator, and editorial art director from Colombia. I'm currently available for paid comic projects and looking to collaborate with writers, publishers, and indie creators.
I specialize in:
• Sequential storytelling
• Comic pages
• Character design
• Cover illustrations
• Fantasy and thriller narratives
• Storyboarding
• Editorial illustration
I've worked extensively in book publishing, designing covers, creating editorial illustrations, and developing visual narratives. I'm currently creating my own original graphic novel, PROTOCOL, a political thriller that has allowed me to further develop my storytelling, pacing, and cinematic page composition.
I'm comfortable working from scripts, collaborating with writers, adapting to established art directions, and maintaining consistency throughout long-form projects.

I've created my first one-shot manga, Search of Evil, which is on MangaDraft, and I have an Instagram account, so I thought I'd post things to attract more people to discover my manga. I know my drawing is terrible, so I'm asking for help here.
So basically,
I have three main characters, and I want to post art/fan art of them on Instagram.
So I'm looking for an artist who has a similar drawing style. Let me know if you're interested.
Thanks
