I know most of if not all of these have a value some where between worthless and novelty, but I’m curious if any of these are actually worth something or rare unlike my 196* penny.

Also I’m sorry about my previous post I seem to have angered a few people. and even figure this subreddit now deletes the aforementioned number since i similar post to this I tried making was taking down almost instantly.

My brother, Delarye1, passed away unexpectedly in May. He had been collectong coins since he was 5 yo. at 18 he started an epic career in numismatis. He truly was a lifelong lover of coins, cents being his very favorite.

​​For years, he would tell me about stuff reddit, mentioning a question or comment he found interesting. Maybe once or twice even a comment that he found upsetting, but since I did not have a reddit account I didn't realize how active he was. After he passed away, I decided to check out his reddit account. I'm so glad I did. Getting to read his post and comments make me feel like he is still here. I can hear the tone in his voice as I read what he writes.

He's told me so much about coins over the years, but I can't remember what his favorite coin was. I'm upset with myself for not taking the time to listen to my little brother more intently. I should have focused instead of assuming he'd always be here to ask whatever question I had. I took for granted that we were still young.

Now I realize, I won't have any new memories of my brother. But, maybe others would share their memories with me.

So I have a favor to ask. If anyone remembers Delarye1, would you please tell me you thoughts or stories about him? Please don't hold back, say whatever comes to mind. I want to collect these memories and create a memory slideshow for his memorial. This way, Ill always have them and as I grow old, I won't forget. The only thing I can think of worse than losing Delarye1, would be forgetting him.

Im fairly new to coin collecting and ive been going through boxes of coins...

1. Ive seen online that the kennedy haves can be worth about 1.50 or more depending on condition. Ive been finding an average of 2 per roll in my first box of halves. Are they worth keeping at all? Assuming they are in good shape anyway

2. I know the 2024-D coins are still to knew to necessarily hold increased value but they appear to be in BU or near BU condition (almost all of them). Is it worth holding any of these for future grading?

Im really interested in hearing everyones thoughts.

So I've been going through a lot family's old stuff and found this 1877 seat of Liberty took it to a pawn shop last night to get a small pawn on it and the gentleman at the counter proceeded to put the acid right on the coin when testing to see if the coin was real I guess I'm not too sure because I thought if you were to test a coin you would scratch it on the little black thing and then drop the acid not drop the acid right on the coin such as this gentleman did. I'm posting this today with the question does anybody know what grounds I have to stand on to demand what money I feel I deserve for him destroying a family relic now I want to be fair in my assessment when it comes to asking for compensation for the ruined coin. I get it that's more for a lawyer but I'm just trying to settle it with the owner and call it good. I don't care for the court system and yah boy to broke from all the money it takes to go to court. So any advice on what grounds I have to stand on when negotiating a compensation price would be greatly appreciated.

I seen this subreddit and joined because who doesn’t like a good coin club. But this subreddit is very much dead. I would say that it is too late for the r/CoinClub to be brought back but we have 1,500 Members!

We don’t need everyone but we do need more than one or two. Let’s get this subreddit back up and going and be as active as the big name coin groups here on Reddit.
