There has been an influx of political posting leading up to the special election.
While voting is important and so is having your voice heard, the mod team has come to the conclusion yall can't behave. Personal insults, off topic shit slinging and bot like comments are what politics on this sub turn into, nothing about Clarksville.
Political posts will now be deleted or locked starting today.
Thanks.

Hey all — looking for some local advice, not trying to spam an ad here.
I signed a lease at a place near APSU that starts 7/28, but my situation changed and I'm not going to be able to use it. Management has told me they can't help find a replacement resident, but my lease does have a formal reletting/assignment process if I bring them someone qualified myself.
Before I go dropping this everywhere — has anyone here actually gone through this process that i'm currently going through? A few things I'm trying to figure out:
Genuinely just trying to not to pay for a place that I will no longer live in where my financial situation had sent me on a different path. Any advice, or if you happen to know someone looking for a bed near campus for the coming year, that'd obviously be a huge help too. Thanks in advance.

I’m still trying to learn more about the election process. So for the elections going on now say for Governor or Mayor are they to decide who will represent that party. Or are they for who will win that seat?
From my understanding there is another election in November as well.
Thanks for the help. Sometimes it’s hard to get a basic answer for those new to politics.
Ps: please don’t use this to push a party or candidate. Thanks

Looking to switch vets, any recommendations? We had a bad experience at our current vet (tiny town animal clinic) and want to go somewhere else. Thanks! Bonus if they offer any sort of military discount.

Either in clarksville or surrounding areas. He has bitten my mother in law for a 3rd time over 7 years, this recent time she wants him put down, we're looking for any place that will take a dog with a bite history. Hes been very stressed lately because there are a lot of changes going on, he has potential to be good, to be trained, and to be loved. My husband is joining the army and he doesnt feel comfortable leaving his dog with his mom while hes gone, he also refuses to eat when my husband isnt home. I cant take the dog as I am highly allergic.
Details - The doggo is 7 years old husky, roughly 55 lbs, 3 biting incidents. If anyone knows anywhere to save him plz comment. Im going to be calling around some places

Hello! My bf and I just moved to the area and I'm looking for some recommendations on good stylists that can do vivid colors for hair and are good with thin/straight hair. I wanna keep my current color (which uses black toner and a blue halo underneath) and I really would like to not have to do my coloring myself at home 😅 any recommendations would be extraordinarily helpful

Do any of you have a stylist/colorist who does a fantastic job in the Wilma Rudolph or Warfield area coloring grays to a natural-looking blonde?!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Our house is located on the bottom of a hill and after heavy rain water pool and floods into our backyard as seen in the video.
If anyone knows anyone who can help us get this fixed or if we should contact the city/county for help.

Voting is coming up and this wonderful person made a site for anyone in TN to see who’s on the ballot and some quick facts about their campaigns! We have a lot of local elections that fly under the radar, be sure to check out your options and vote in the primaries. Early voting starts July 17th and runs through August 1st, primary and county election day is August 6th if you can’t make it to early voting!

Hi r/Clarksville,
I’m a lady looking to socialize locally on weekends or potentially even after work 1-2 nights a week. I loved being on a Robotics team as a teen and would ideally love to join a similar group of makers getting a shared project done. I’m also in STEM and was hoping that there are local spaces for meetups (perhaps even specialized for women in engineering) that are fun that I haven’t heard of. I really like talking shop about projects (sometimes a little too much)…but I also think I need to spend some time doing that with people who are not my coworkers.
Anybody know of any spaces that might be a good fit?

I have a lot of tooth issues and sensitivity. As a kid I didn't take proper care, and have been doing more and more as I got older, but still have a sweet tooth, lacked insurance for a bit, and my teeth have still suffered... I don't want a dentist who's super judgemental, and if there's one that's fine with numbing for a lot of procedures, that'd be great... A couple of my teeth are hypersensitive to everything, so I'd HATE to know what a proper cleaning would feel like atm... ESPECIALLY since one of my fillings broke a while back, but I couldn't afford to repair it... Had other issues at the time, then lost my job, my insurance, and my income. Now I'm plenty-covered, but I've had rude dentists in the past, rude assistants, and dentists that don't listen and put me through one HELL of a year...
I just want a dentist who does great work and isn't a jerk to their patients.
Help? Please?

I’ve always thought about this question a lot since I never really feel like I’ve been to a store that buys legos from sellers or have heard about individuals who bought legos from people within Clarksville. Just a curious question/thought I’ve been having.

This includes both lettuce and herbs, and I'll tell you that for me it includes all raw vegetables from here on out regardless of if they are leafy or not.
The only thing I've eaten in the last 7 days that hasn't been cooked to food safe temperatures is a lot of herbs with my meal on Sunday. The dog had a few bites too.
Sure enough at 3:00 a.m. on Monday morning I was woken to the dog needing to urgently rush outside to have diarrhea for the first time in 8 years. By the time morning came around, I had a mild case myself, which grew to a case of explosiveness by that night.
I thought that Tuesday might be the worst of it. I was very very wrong. Today. I would stay vomiting with explosive diarrhea full of head and body aches.
My GP and I are still hoping it passes, but also monitoring and waiting to see if I develop a fever. Whatever it is, it is truly miserable.
This post is really just to make sure people know that whatever parasite/virus /bacteria is sweeping the nation right now is definitely in the distribution centers at service Clarksville.
Don't eat these things right now. It's not worth it.

I'm looking for a new PCP because mine is leaving her practice this month. I'm 23F and have some kind of chronic issues going on, but not sure what exactly. I'm trying to figure it out and this PCP was doing an incredible job, but unfortunately she's moving out of state and following her to her new practice is not an option. Im looking for a primary care provider who is a woman and NOT working with Premier. I have bad blood with Premier Medical Group and refuse to see any doctor at that practice anymore. If anyone has a PCP that you love please comment the name of the practice so I can call and see if they're accepting new patients. Thank you!!
