The All-Stars the Sky could’ve had are coming to Chicago - Chicago Sun-Times

Love this part about Miles. I made a post about the same thing--that the Sky have no idea how to forecast the chances that they will be bad when they trade a pick/swap while thinking they will be good.

“You have to get lucky,” Lynx head of basketball operations Cheryl Reeve admitted when discussing Miles ending up in Minnesota. “Lottery balls have to go your way.”

Beside the aw-shucks modesty from Reeve was also a bit of a flex.

“Obviously, at the 2024 draft, we wanted to take a swing at a lottery pick in 2026,” she said. “That’s what you do when you’re trying to project teams. We have people who get paid to project for us.”

Catch the subtle reminder that the Lynx have invested in number-crunching and forecasting in a way the Sky, and many other teams, have not?

I feel it was a lost opportunity to not name this team the Chicago Stampede. It rolls off the tongue, is intimidating, and plays off the Chicago Bulls which evokes the prestige of legacy. It would have been really cool for them to have that name.

Could the game get cancelled on July 17th due to air quality in Chicago right now? Might be a dumb question but just curious.

Hello! I'm visiting from out of town and would love to try and get autographs from some of the Sky players for the 8/1 game (specifically Tash). I'm looking at tickets now and it seems that courtside tickets are quiiiite expensive (over 1k lol) - I do see there's a lot of tickets available in sections 122/123/125/126. I'm curious if anyone sitting in those sections, has been able to walk down and get autographs. Not sure if it's only ppl sitting courtside who have access. If there are other non-courtside sections that ppl typically have luck with re: getting autographs please let me know, thanks a bunch!

2 last minute tickets to today’s 11am game MESSAGE ME I can transfer immediately for the low $$$

I am leaving from northern Illinois this morning to catch the Seattle storm game but am a little nervous due to the fact that seat geek still hasn’t given me my tickets. Is this normal for the wintrust arena?
