I still enjoy his other works and still etched in my memory. Part 2 may be not received well(i may reread it at some point if it is really bad as i read this weekly) but overall, i still like fujimoto. But i do tend to like his shorter stories though

Hi everyone,

I’ve been thinking about the conceptual structure of devils in CSM and realized we might be completely misunderstanding the true potential of the Eternity Devil.

We know that devils gain power from human fear. Most theories focus on things like the Death Devil being the ultimate boss, but from a purely metaphysical standpoint, there is a concept that encompasses everything: True Eternity.

My theory is that the Eternity Devil we saw in Part 1 was just a fraction of its true power. True Eternity cannot exist without being a 5-axis matrix that connects Time and human Psyche. To achieve its True Form, it requires the fusion of 5 specific devils:

1. The Core: The Triad of Time

Eternity is an infinite timeline, which is physically impossible to construct without three coordinates:

The Past Devil: (Representing trauma, regret, and memory).

The Present Devil: (The Eternity Devil we know, which loops space and freezes the "now").

The Future Devil: (Representing fate and the inevitability of what's to come).

1. The Engine: The Psyche Duology

Time alone is just empty space. What gives it weight and makes it a source of absolute power are the two fundamental drivers of human existence:

The Fear Devil

The Desire Devil

Why? Because fear cannot exist without desire. We only fear death because we desire to live. We only fear losing something because we desire to possess it. They are two sides of the same coin, the ultimate source of all human emotions.

The True Form: The Absolute Paradox

When these 5 elements fuse into the True Form of Eternity, it creates a entity that doesn't just manipulate space—it controls the very meaning of existence.

Invulnerability through Logic: You cannot fight it. Any attempt to attack or destroy this Devil must stem either from the Desire to win or the Fear of its power. Therefore, any attack automatically feeds the Devil and makes it stronger. It’s a self-sustaining perpetual motion machine.

The Ultimate Cosmic Horror (No Physical Form):

How does it look? It doesn't. It is literally impossible for humans to give it a form, because it is not an object—it is the matrix inside which we exist. Trying to look at the True Eternity Devil is like a single pixel trying to see the entire monitor, or a bacteria trying to comprehend the planet. Human consciousness simply doesn't have the "software" to process this data. If you try to perceive it, your mind just crashes.

This entity stands completely above the plot. It doesn't want to "destroy the world" because for an entity that sees the Past, Present, and Future simultaneously, the destruction has already happened and is still happening. It is outside the game.

What do you guys think about this architecture of Eternity?

The contract goes as follows: "Any attack intended to harm Makima is changed into an appropriate illness or accident affecting a random Japanese citizen." How this has been shown in the manga and anime is that she takes the damage but then she regenerates it so it isn't instantaneous atleast thats how I interpreted it, However let me propose a theoretical

What if there's nothing to regenerate from? When I think of Makimas ability the first thing that comes to mind is Perfect Cell and his regeneration which goes as follows, If even a singular cell containing his nucleus exists he is able to regenerate from it, He was eventually defeated and unable to regenerate after being hit with an attack so strong it disintegrated everything

What if Makima is also hit by something similar? How would she regenerative if there's nothing to regenerate from? etc, Just tryna see if theres anything in the manga that could help with interpreting her ability in that way even if its just 1 random statement

So we all know that before the new timeline, pochita ate himself. But the thing with that is that after, all devils eaten by him were restored. Wouldn't this mean that pochita still exists? I mean there is evidence of this through the fact that chainsaws still exist
