Europe ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ WARNING: My Experience with Manuowell (Linyi Jieente Outdoor Products Co., Ltd.)

WARNING: My Experience with Manuowell (Linyi Jieente Outdoor Products Co., Ltd.)

After more than two years of working with Manuowell (LINYI JIEENTE OUTDOOR PRODUCTS CO., LTD.), selling their bait boats, I have made the firm decision to completely cut ties with this manufacturer.

I am writing this post to warn prospective buyers, distributors, and retailers about the serious issues you will inevitably face if you decide to do business with them.

The Breaking Point: Broken Promises and Ignored Guarantees

Due to a relentless stream of factory defects and severe quality control failures, I decided to stop placing new orders. Prior to this, the supplier had assured me that all products came with a 1-year warranty and that replacement parts would be provided. For a while, they did send some parts. However, the moment I informed them that I would no longer be purchasing new boats, they completely ghosted me.

Their direct response was that they refuse to send any more warranty parts. They broke their commitment, leaving me high and dry with defective units and zero support for my existing customers.

Key Issues You Need to Know Before Buying:

  • Zero Quality Control: Bait boats arrive broken or defective straight out of the factory box. There is virtually no pre-shipment inspection. (You can see the full extent of these failures in the linked video below).
  • Absurd Shipping Delays: Logistics are a nightmare. On several occasions, I had to wait two full months just for them to dispatch the order, and another two months for delivery.
  • Severe Communication Barrier: The sales manager, Love Liu, does not speak English and fundamentally fails to understand technical issues. When requesting specific replacement parts for defects, they would constantly send useless items insteadโ€”like spare handlesโ€”while ignoring the actual broken electronics or mechanical components.
  • Unprofessionalism & Disorganization: The seller operates with an arrogant attitude, routinely forgets client requests, mixes up orders, and sends wrong items. I even received invoices containing other clients' confidential details.
  • Total Abandonment During Failures: As soon as an issue arises, their strategy is to ignore messages, evade responsibility, and offer zero troubleshooting support.

Watch the Proof

I have documented the reality of working with their products. In the video linked below, you can see the exact defect issues and build quality problems I regularly encountered with both the Manuowell Assassin and Manuowell GTR models:

Manuowell GTR:ย https://youtube.com/shorts/DBZn1f1LR0M?si=R7waHircQQe2xD0v

Final Verdict: Save your money, your time, and your business reputation. Do not trust their warranty promises, and stay away from Manuowell.

Went down to the river after sunset and a 100ยฐ Fahrenheit day and had an absolute killer session. Had 9 total hookups and landed 4 including 2 that seemed to be around 20lb. Got a double up at midnight followed by a firework show across the river the moment I released the first one. Also got the biggest one with 2 min left on the timer to go home.. Grand Ole time.

USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Catching my first carp?

โ€ข Upvotes

I plan on going carp fishing later today with corn as my bait fishing a pond. Never caught a carp before. Using an ugly stick gx2 with a pflueger president and some 8lb mono. Is that good enough or is there a good chance heโ€™ll break me off. Also, is a hair rig really nessecary or will they bite on a hook covered in corn as well? Just looking for tips, thanks. ๐Ÿ™

Heard there are big carp there and want to give it a try. Mainly use corn packbait but occasionally boilies as well. Donโ€™t do a ton of river fishing but would love to crush some big carp.

UK ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง UK angler and developer here, built a catch log app, would love feedback from carp anglers

โ€ข Upvotes

I got fed up logging my sessions in my notes app and then losing track of which water, which swim, and what bait actually produced. So I ended up building a proper catch log to fix it for myself, called CastLog.

You log a catch with a photo and it will ID the fish for you, then keep everything in one place, the water, the conditions, what worked. It has around 500k named waters across the UK and USA built in, and it works offline at the bank where there is no signal.

The logging side is free. The part that costs is the AI trip planner, where it searches the internet for info on a specific river or lake and helps you build a plan for it, which is genuinely useful for starting out on a new water. It also has an AI Fish Identifier too. That side costs me money to run so it sits behind an upgrade, but honestly I want feedback far more than anything right now. So if anyone here wants to properly test it, especially the AI planning, I am happy to upgrade you for free in exchange for honest thoughts and improvements.

What do you log at the moment, and what does every other fishing app get wrong for you? Session and swim tracking, bait, rigs, that kind of thing.

Happy to answer anything.

I'm looking for somewhere that has carp fishing and the opportunity for a bit of lure fishing as well.

Taking a mate away and he's not a fan of the 'sit on your hands' style of carp fishing, he's way more interested in lure fishing for perch and pike. I know there's always the option of taking carp off the top but the lure fishing would be my... Lure.

Any venues people have fished? I'm based in South Wales but don't mind a 2 hourish drive. Would be a day session so don't really want the drive to take up most of the day.

USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ I know common carp are naturalized and not native but should I kill them if I catch them I live in Illinois where Iโ€™m not required to but is it still good to cull them

Even though itโ€™s naturalized it isnโ€™t native and just is less harmful then more newer invasive carp but are still harmful

UK ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง A bad session

So I've been fishing a commercial and had 10+ carp every session 5lbs to 15lbs. I used PVA bags with various boilies, wafters, corn they all work. I've caught consistently on pellet feeder and even float fished some bread. Everything works...

...and then nothing works. Today the lake was quiet, Monday so less people around, weather was good 25c and sunny but 1 carp right at the start of the session and nothing but a few skimmers and roach makes today a real stinker.

The only people who caught were fishing zigs (3 carp total). A method I am unfamiliar with.

What should I try if next week's session sucks? Any good videos on zig rigs for dummies?

Iโ€™m wanting to get more into carp fishing lately. Iโ€™ve caught a handful of them over the years but Iโ€™ve never really specifically targeted them. I bought a couple of items off Amazon such as pre-tied hair rigs and some feeders for packbait. I was wondering if you all could let me know if they will work or not?

Question ๐Ÿ“ Prob still no good, but is this better? Will it work?

Title says it all. Prepared for extreme criticism. I think I may try braid cause it's kind of hard to tie with mono. Trying to learn to tie hair rigs instead of spending 20$ on 4 pre rigged rigs, dumb pricey. I also have ADHD so it's hard for me to learn some things. Dunno why some people are so rude. Caught the one in my second Pic by slipping corn up above the hook right onto the line on a tradional hook tied to the line, so I figure even a jank hair rig might still work no?

Question ๐Ÿ“ Baits to use with hair rigs

I've been trying to get my first carp, tied me a bunch of hair rigs and made some pack bait. I have 2 major things preventing me from catching fish. 1 is the bait. I'm sure the bait itself is fine, smells good and everything. But it's just so soft that it rips off the rig with every other cast. I tried adding as much flour as I could to thicken it up, to no avail.

My 2nd and probably biggest problem is, when I do successfully cast out, all of the damn bluegigis swarm in and pillage my bait before a carp can get to it.

I'm also not really sure if I'm fishing the right spots. I'm sorta just casting out and laying in wait. Would it be more productive to target banks or shaded areas? Or maybe overgrown areas/weedbeds because carp like plant?

USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ 2026 Carpless Streak Over

Finally! River is down enough to fish although now they're enforcing the dusk to dawn "closing" so I, along with 4-5 other groups of fisherman, got chucked out around midnite. Not thrilled about this since this park is the closest and easiest bank access I have there so I'm going to have to scout some new spots for fishing later into the night.

I did manage a 17.5lb common on MegaSpice Tiger Nuts & PVA stick. AND, my mocha/coffee boilies work but had a small catfish pick that up so that was a plus even though wrong species.

Tied my first hair rig... is the loop behind the hook too big or will this work okay, what do we think? I've never used a hair rig or tied one before. This was my second attempt after watching some videos. Edit; people actually down voted when I'm just looking for advice. Nice.

What is the best bait?

What is the best retrieve method or none at all?

What line strength?

Any additional tips would be awesome!
