Kiss me and all their main songs have so much youthful energy and it doesn’t help that Tuesday sounds like Danielle a little. Carole and tuesday’s sound matches Newjeans so well i thought it was such a niche comparison but i hope someone here can see it. I miss this anime and i miss newjeans omgg😭 im def coping

I just started Carol and Tuesday and i like the show a lot, it’s really entertaining i love some of the songs in the show but there’s some things that really stood out to me. The show exploring themes like artificial intelligence taking over and deportation are extremely similar to what’s going on in America today. In an episode, Tuesday talks about the state mars is in and not being able to do anything about it, which leads them to playing a song in the church. This really resonates with me because i myself have been having negative feelings about the things going on and the things our president is doing. The show displays lots of different points of view and it has so much depth.

tbh I honestly would i don’t know out of all the anime I’ve watched so far in my life I like how amazing and lushness like the city looks it almost reminds me of heartLake City from Lego friends the original one. what do you think?

I have heard so much good things about this show, but it has been languishing in my backlog for a bit now. This is a great show, somewhat mad at myself for not watching this sooner. Think I actually prefer the dub to sub on this one. Overall just really enjoying the show.

I recently finished “Carole and Tuesday” and it really struck me, especially because it is about two themes very relevant today: artificial intelligence and immigration policy.

That being said, it because it really moved me, and I don't usually get so carried away by an anime.

Hi! I watched Carole and Tuesday years ago! It is still one of my all time favorites. I was at a small convention and I saw this and nearly cried. I picked it up as soon as I saw it! I thought this thread might be able to appreciate it :))

I’m only a couple episodes in, and I’m absolutely blown away. I’d never even heard of this show before. It has virtually no reviews, and the few threads I found from 5 years ago barely had any comments or upvotes.

That first song, The Loneliest Girl, left me frozen. I wasn’t expecting anything like that. I was just browsing for some mindless anime and stumbled onto something incredible.

Do you all feel this way? Am I under a rock, or is it insanely underappreciated? I watch a lot of anime, and it’s never been recommended to me. I only found it because I was searching for Christmas Carol and simply typed “Carol” by itself — and there it was.

It’s crazy that just six short years after the show first aired, we are nearly living that reality. AI songs populate billboard 100s, the violent arrests by rats…I mean MICE, parallel the ongoing kidnappings by ICE (of course, they were always made as a comparison even before the situation got to how it is today).
I wonder if the show would be more popular had it come out this year.
I know some viewers dislike the storyline and see it as an abrasive shift, but music and creativity have always had a relationship with freedom and expression, so to me the finale was the natural progression of the series. The girls were ignorant at the beginning, of the industry and the world, then grew as they met more people impacted by it.
Its 5am and I know this sub is dead but I just rewatched the show and forgot how incredible the songs are (even though I have many of them on my playlist, I sort of separated them from ever being part of a series). Other than K-pop Demon Hunters, I can’t think of another animated story with such great music.
my only complaint about the series is it should have ended with ‘to be continued…in your heart’ not ‘mind’…that was a huge miss
I hope in the future, AI music is a peculiar artefact of humanity’s strange history, discussed briefly in history textbooks as an oddity. I wish there’d be a performance amazing enough to fix the world’s problems, but some things are too fantastical I suppose.
