I was confused by this card's effect after reading the doubles tournament box rulebook & using that as my basis for understanding the rules of the game. as far as I understand, there isn't any window of opportunity for you to play psionic architect before your creatures unfloop during the ready phase.

I'm sure there is some card interaction that could cheat it into play and technically achieve the intended result but as this card was included in the first starter deck that doesn't feel like it's intended use.

was there a rules update after this cards printing or are there different phase rules for doubles vs 1v1?

also, I would still be interested in whatever combo might make it work if it is simply outdated text.

Hello all! I think generally I have a good grasp of the rules but I wanted to understand a few of the rules regarding lands. Or zones or whatever they're called (like the nicelands)

So I believe this is how it works, please clarify any issues.

I only have 2 points per turn to play stuff. If I have a 3 cost creature I would need to get it's cost down to 2 to play it. But additionally, I would need 2 of the correct lands on the field. For example 2 nicelands.

If I reduced its cost down to 1, or even 0, would I need only 1, or 0 nicelands to be able to put it down? And do I have to put a nicelands creature on a nicelands zone? Or can it go on any zone, so long as the number of nicelands I have equals or exceeds the cost on the card?

Does it affect deckbuilding rules? Or if I was silly would I be allowed to put a nicelands card in my deck even if I have 0 nicelands?

A few months ago a found someone online making deck boxes for the game, and i was looking for custom deck boxes for all the characters. Well i am happy to say after working with him over the past few months we completed the designs and he sent me the first set!
Each box comes with a name labeled top, custom “faceplate” and can be printed as any color (i chose the lore accurate colors)
The deck box itself holds 4 landscape tiles, damage,frozen, and fire tokens, the deck, as well as the hero card.
i bought the card wars card sleeves to go with the cards, but that’s not an issue! there is 2 size options for the box, 1 with sleeves (slightly larger) and 1 without. This way you can have a snug fit no matter your setup.
I think they look great and they make it a lot easier to sort all the cards/landscape tiles. If you guys want to check them out maybe grab a couple for your favorite decks, they are available on ETSY and the seller is LCSengineering. I was wondering how prismo interacted with rainbow cards. My interpretation is they always count as every type which would make them pretty bad in his strategy. Is that not how they work? A lot of the cards in his deck read " if you cast 2 non corn, sandy, etc spells, you get x" So how would rainbow cards interact with this? Plus just his passive of casting 2 different types. Thanks in advance. ​

So I just recently got into the game but am confused on a few things and there seems to be no information online for the answers.

So from my understanding of Burn tokens is they are placed on the target creature and at the beginning of the creatures turn it takes the # of burn tokens of damage and the # of burn tokens is then decreased by 1. If there is no creature on the landscape then the damage goes to the player controlling the landscape. Is this correct?

With attack tokens my understanding is they are placed on a creature and at any time can increase the attack of the creature by the # of attack tokens spent for a singular attack. Is this fully correct?

Finally I am confused about flooping buildings as it just seems useless. My understanding is that you floop the building itself and not the creature in front of it. Which may be correct but to me it just makes more sense to floop the creature in front of the building.

If anyone knows the answer to any of these it would be greatly appreciated!!

I just recently got into collecting/playing this game and I got the land of legends booster box and I’m confused of how I can play this card when it costs 6 actions, I know there’s certain spells and abilities that lower costs but I don’t know of any that can knock this down 4+ actions?

I was playing with princess bubblegum and my friend with lumpy space princess and the curses destroyed our defenses each turn, causing that my teammate died on turn 4.

Is this game mode better if we used two decks with teamwork cards like grand prix or Jake team?

Hi there! I'm a long time fan of the Card Wars games, and ended up buying both the Kickstarter campaigns over the years, giving me access to every deck made so far.

While I was initially disappointed that the newer cards were power crept and absolutely destroyed the older base decks, I've been playtesting a solution: give older decks 3 Actions!

I have a friend that I play fairly often with, and the win rates are almost 50/50; this is great, since now we don't have to play decks by their respective 'tier'.

Have you had any luck modifying decks or game rules to make the 'tiers' fairer? I'm also curious to see others' win rates with this new rule!

Has anybody had any luck creating a Choose Goose deck? If so, what letter did you base the deck around? It definitely seems like it could/should be broken but I have not been able to figure out how to build it.

Firefly lamplighter reads “while you have 1 or fewer cards in hand, reveal the top card of your deck. You may play cards revealed this way. These cards cost 1 additional action for each card that has been played in this way this turn.” Does that mean the first card you play off the top of your deck does not cost any action at all regardless of its action cost (with the following card played costing one action), or do you still have to pay the written action cost and then future cards that are played cost one additional action?

I just played the flame princess vs fern set. It was fun, but I do not understand burn tokens based on the rulebook. “When a burn token is placed on a target (player or creature) it immediately takes one damage” and then it takes one at the start of your turn. Does this mean that for every creature with a burn token at the start of turn, not only do the creatures that are burned take one, but the player takes one per burn token on their creatures as well? Or is there a way to burn a player? I read through all the cards in the deck and none of them suggest burning a player, so I am extremely confused.

I've recently gotten into the Card Wars TCG after picking up the Lich and Prismo collector's pack. I'm really enjoying it and want to get deeper into but, to me, it begs the question: what does the future of the TCG look like? Was the Kickstarter a one-and-done? Or can we expect continued support from Cryptozonic?

I've looked on the site and the Kickstarter page and it's hard to find a definitive answer. Are we left to our own devices with the game system or are we going to get more releases and support from the publisher?

1. does somebody know how each tokens work? I know how freeze token works but i dont have any idea how burn and sword symbol tokens work.

2. Does somebody have instructions of each starter decks with a deck list on it? ive been searching for pdf's of it but cant find it.

I have troubles understanding the combat system. In this situation, I ended my turn (I am the player with the useless swamps) so the fighting phase begins. The cards on the left attack themselves simultaneously, but does "spillith, the crippler " (my opponent's card) attack my hero for 3 damage even though I initiated this combat phase ?

Has anyone's card sleeves started seperating? The decks have set a while inside their boxes inside the storage box so it isn't from use. The adhesive looks to have been bad.

My buddies and I have been loving this game. we haven't customize any decks yet, we wanna play with the hero builds until we're more comfortable with the game.

The issue is. When our games run long or we play some of the decks that let you grab more cards from your deck. we ended up running out of cards in are deck and in our hands. Then we play until one loses all there hp or one with the least health.

Most games like cardwars dont let you reshuffle, but the game tends to end before that. There is no specific rules that I could find about running out of cards or if there is rules around reshuffling, or other, with the discard pile. In the customization rules it says the minimum for a deck is 40 and there is no maximum, except for no more than 3 of a card, and it says you can have more or less than your apponent. Wouldn't it be unfair if somebody had 60 cards and your sitting with 40 and you run out before one of you loses all of your hp.

Is there any rules around this, or is there any rules that you have or heard of that would help me out?

In your opinion, what would you say each element is best at. Ik Cornfields is good at attack and such, but that's all I got. I mostly just want to better explain each one to friends interested in the game
