First pollen collection of Sour Diesel!

I got my first male and I want to collect pollen. When is it best to try to collect? She’s like in week 2 of flower. Thank you in advance

I made a post a while ago about having some issues with making some feminized seeds. I never posted an update but… everything worked out and I ended up with about 10 different Junky 99 crosses.

Out of the small bunch of plants I pollinated, the mother of this was among a group of WL seeds I got from a reputable seed bank. I wasn’t expecting anything special out of it being a WL of an impossible to get genetic but the flower that came of the seed really surprised me. Terp profile was like a creamy burnt rubber that produced a very uplifting high.

This plant the terps are a little dialed back but the bud structure is impressing me for hash washing. Will certainly be running it again and excites me for some of the seeds that I made knowing they had better genetics.

Lately I have been popping seeds and anything that looks good to wash I plan to make more crosses of. Washing will resume when it gets colder outside again. Thanks for reading!

If so, how to treat? Still kinda new at growing. This is an outdoor plant. Freebie seed (Grease Gun Auto) from a site I’ve purchased from before. So far this seems to be the only one out of 4 plants showing this.

Also should mention the calyxes are also turning brown.

If there’s a way to treat and especially prevent (for my other plants) I’d appreciate it.

UPDATE:

Fairly certain it’s bud rot now. It’s spreading quicker now. I put a bag over it for now and separated it from my other 3 plants, tomorrow I’ll cut it down and dispose. I also checked other plants and took off a couple entire branches/colas that looked like they might be starting. Hoping to salvage my sour diesel and northern lights. The one that’s ruined was a free seed, called Grease Gun. I also have a Skunk #1 photoperiod that’s growing but hasn’t started flowering yet. Hoping it stays healthy though I’m seeing yellowing leaves and such already. SMH.

I’m about ready to give up after my third unsuccessful year growing. This year isn’t finished yet though.

She’s been in a 1 gallon pot for a bit time to move her to a 3 gallon fabric pot. I also have another pheno behind her. I’ll be taking clones soon and seeing how they perform in flower. Hopefully something worth working deeper with. Blueberry muffins by Humboldt and Durban Poison by Hazemen seeds.

I crossed MacMo (dirt bird) x Lilac OG (ethos) - pics of F1 and parents

Hey all! A project I am working on and currently working through F1s.

MacMo is Mac #1 x Elmo’s army from dirty bird. Phenomenal incense and spice smell, with sharp citrus and florals.

Lilac OG is from ethos. Stem rub was like a bouquet.

1-2: first F1 female I flipped.40 days in flower. Right now getting a ton of incense, some floral and bright citrus and some spice. Smells like it leans a lot more towards MacMo right now.

2-4: flipping more
once one of my tents open up.

5-6: MacMo female used

7: Lilac og male used

These are regs and I’m digging through the F1 now looking for next gen parents. I’m really excited for this line and have high expectations.

Hello all, this is currently my first time breeding, along with my first time working with reverse male plants. But everything’s been going well so far. I just went and checked on them, and only one of the reverse males (all the pictures above) now looks like this…. Is it time to collect pollen or maybe almost time? I am aware that pollen sacks are supposed to turn a yellow ish sorta color when they’re about ready to pop, but these just look weird to me and im still insure. Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏

This seems to be the place for this question. I grew some of the kalifa 80s durban poison last year along with girl scout cookies, ken's lemon star, blackberry moonstones. I found 3 seeds at the bottom of my trim box. I am assuming this is durban poison as the leaves are long and narrow. Of course he's a male and I've been collecting pollen. At this date 7.17.26 the plant is 8 ft. About to chop as i dont want to get all the others seeds just yet. All this because of the possible seed ban. Pics below

History of the seeds. Last year I had one durban lose all its fan leaves and stay in flower for a good 4 months. I have a strong suspicion she created a banana and this is where i am. Would i be wise to pollinate the remaining plant and see what happens next year. I can feminize this plant using silver. Is this the dumbest thing ever? Also, kalifa isnt sending durban poison seeds to the states this year for se reason.

My Blockberry male has a very high pod to leaf ratio , rapid development with medium tall stretch.

I posted about this guy a few months ago. I kept him around and am going to make my first cross with him to my super silver haze f3 (from sanctuary seed bank f2s) and see what happens. I also took him and his dark sister to f4. I eventually want to go through those and find this guy in full purple like her.

I brought the male on the left indoors a few days ago, and to my surprise, the second of 3 mystery seeds started popping balls. I’ve started collected pollen - I debated mixing the pollen since they came from the same mother and pretty sure the same father, but I think keeping the pollen separate will allow for some more experimenting down the line with my girls. And they definitely look a lighter green in the photos than in person. Wish me luck!

Help on my reveg please

I've read about the techniques for creating two clones from one plant, using STS spray to induce pollen in one, and then applying that pollen to the second clone to produce feminized seeds. If one were to do this, are most commercially available strains stabilized enough that the offspring would be pretty consistent and similar to the parent? Can this be done again in subsequent generations?

I’ve found a really beautiful Tropicana Cherry phenotype that just refuses to root when cloning. I’m a very experienced grower with over 25 years of experience, and I’ve never run into these kinds of issues before. Usually, I just use an aero-cloner and maintain over a 95% success rate. Neither the aero-cloner nor the classic method using rockwool cubes with Clonex or Rhizopon works. I’m out of ideas on what else I can do. Has anyone encountered this before and have any suggestions on what else I could try?

In the next couple years I plan on venturing in and starting a breeding project that aims to create a strain adapted in Missouri's climate and soil. I'm looking for unique terps and effects, using landraces if possible in order to bring something new no one's seen before. I understand it's not easy but I'm willing to go through the work. I've been looking at Pakistanlandraceseeds.com and their selection, as well as CSI Humboldt and some other stuff. But does anyone have a suggestion on something I should run and test? Main attributes would be an aggressive root system, very high mold resistance, very high heat resistance, thick sturdy stem to withstand decent winds, and something that can grow well in low nutrition soil. In effect Im in search for a trippy old school psychedelic cerebral high or something thats unique but still potent. If anyone can help me please lmk!!

Hello, I'm new to this reddit and breeding in general. I have these two from seeds I was gifted, the massive one on the left is the male and the more compact is the female. I'm interested to see what other people who may have more experience think of the structure and any other visual traits that you notice. I can tell you they sprouted on May 18, were fimmed and then transplanted to 30 gallon pots on June 15. The male has had a deep skunk aroma exuding off him and has only just started to show his sex.

I would love to see if anyone has anything to say either way. My plan at this point is to let the pods develop and I'm going to take a couple and clip them to harvest the pollen indoors and allow the rest of them open and fully pollinate the female. I'd like to take the pollen and cross it with an autoflower to see if I can manage to make my own autoflowers with this line.

What kind of interest would you growmies and or your buddies have in pollen? I realize strainly has a few options, but consider an option that you get to choose the male and see pics of it growing.

Right now I breed, that is to say I mostly professionally chuck. Im having some success in seed sales, but want to branch out...fill a niche with pollen for all the chuckers out there/here. I have storage as well as shipping techniques figured out, I believe.

What strains would you like to see pollen from??

What price point would be good for you? Assuming a regular sized seed vial filled with pollen. Enough to pollinate 6-12 plants if done correctly (I have a new pollen dispensing method that can achieve this easily).

Are you more interested in Femenized pollen?
