Monthly self promotion/advertising post

I am going to give monthly posts a try. You can post a comment in each monthly thread if you want. Or just comment once. It’s all up to you.

The subreddit’s rules regarding self promotion, direct advertising, givaways etc won’t be strict here. Basically anything is allowed here. As long as it’s legal, and no spamming (multiple comments can be ok, while spamming would be worse).

Preferably, it should be related to candles, wax melts or accessories (such as candle warmers or candle holders) in some way.

Examples of what you can share here:

  • Blogs, vlogs and podcasts.
  • Your website and social media accounts where you sell products.
  • Promote family and friends’s business/products
  • Giveaways, contests and surveys

But it’s kinda open minded/flexible at the moment. So if you want to suggest people to check out other stores and their current sales, share great resources when it comes to candle making, recommend a candle warmer or anything else, you can promote/advertise it here as well.

Finally Opening Up My Candles Bin 🙂

Hi!

I just wanted to share since I finally moved out of my parent’s place my candles bin. I’ve been buying candles all over since 2023 since I knew I might not have enough money to splurge on them once I start my master’s program.

I’m so excited because I kinda forgot what I’ve bought over the years and I can’t wait to light them.

I couldn’t light them at home as my mom only likes the leaves candle really from BBW and has a sensitive nose.

I bought from typical stores but mostly from Etsy and made custom candles. My bf is currently making our candles cabinet and I can’t way to try (very loosely using the word try) to organize them ☺️.

The movers stated it probably weighs between 150-170lbs so I think I’m set for two years hopefully lol.

Thank you for anyone who reads this and sorry for any grammar mistakes!!!

I broke the top of this Yankee large jar earlier doing something stupid. The wax is below the break. Do you think it’s safe to burn?

What is it about the scent of this candle that smells familiar, like something from decades ago? Been trying to figure it out for years why this scent smelled like something I was once familiar with.

Candle warmers and other accessories Am I using candle warmers wrongly?

Once the smell starts to disappear I remove some of the wax but then I literally still can't smell the candle anymore. It's almost as if all of the scent is concentrated to the top half of the candle? Using top warmer lamp on b&bw candles if anyone has any advice 😭

Looking for a candle The end is nigh...

Years ago when I saw my favorite white tea & jasmine candle was on the clearance rack, I knew its time was running out. So naturally, I bought all of them. As I get closer to the end of my stash, I'm wondering what happens at the end of the line? What do I do without white tea & jasmine?

Has anyone been fond of this one and found a similar scent?

And if someone from Better Homes & Gardens is reading this, please bring it back...

Looking for a candle Scentsationals Simple Romance wax melt

Post image

This might be really niche but have gone to the ends of the earth to try and find any remaining Simple Romance wax melts but to no avail. The last time they brought it back was in 2021 from their blast from the past collection, and I have even tried to buy the better homes and garden dupe of this particular scent but I noticed they recently changed that one too. The closest I have come so far to find a smell-a-like, is a newer scent by scentsationals called Alchemy which is kinda close but not quite. I can’t seem to find a dupe of this scent from other brands because the fragrance is a kinda unique woodsy vanilla. I have tried mixing the Alchemy and BH&G sandalwood vanilla wax melts but doesn’t even come close. I have gone to lengths to email the company multiple times a year to ask if they will in the future bring it back but they were vague and just said probably not. If any other fans of this specific smell PLEASE give me recommendations 😭🙏🏼

Looking for a candle Looking for a good Bergamot & Fig Leaf Candle

About 8 years ago, I took a trip to Chicago and while I was there, I walked past the Trump Tower hotel lobby. The candles in the lobby were one of the best things I've ever smelled, and now I'm looking for a quality candle that replicates this scent. The exact candle is available for purchase on the trumpstore.com website, but I have no interest in giving them my money, even for a candle that smells that good. Does anyone have suggestions for something similar?

Reviews [Dusk] These new plastic tealight candle cups are absolute GARBAGE!!!

About a month ago at my last shop to Dusk, to restock on my favourite scented tealights, number 1) I noticed they’re now plastic cups instead of metal cups and number 2) that a lot of my favourite fragrances do not exist anymore… OUTRAGEOUS! After burning them for a couple weeks I am thoroughly dissapointed in the amount of wax waste that is left over! There is at least 20-30% leftover in every single tealight. I never had any amount of wax waste like this with the old metal tins. I am greatly upset at this supposed upgrade that Dusk has done. This is most certainly not an upgrade, in fact it is very much the opposite. DISGUSTING! Will not be stepping foot in another Dusk again.

Looking for a candle Hello everyone, I’m looking for an ornate candle.

Hey guys. When I grew up we had a candle. It was gorgeous with ornate shapes like flowers (this is what I might remember but it had the same intricacies) It looked like a gothic church (with respect to detail) and I loved it. It was so intricate with details I never thought possible in a candle.

I’m looking for a similar candle that I can light on memorial days each year as a memory for those who I’ve lost. I celebrate everyone I’ve lost on Memorial Day because this is the legend they live on. But a big candle that will last me a lifetime. Because I really only plan to light it on memorial days. I just want something substantial. If I can spend a bit and get one of those intricate candles I would love that.

Looking for a candle Favorite candle company going out of business & looking for alternative

For years I’ve been obsessed with Country Heart Candles but now they’re going out of business and I’m devastated. Does anyone have suggestions for strong center soy wax candles like theirs?

Some of my all time favorite scents of theirs were Macintosh Apple, Wine Cellar, Victorian Christmas, Snow Covered Pine, and Gardenia

🏛️ I wanted these candles to look like tiny pieces of an ancient temple 🕯️

Post image

I spent today hand-pouring these Greco-Roman inspired pillar candles, and I love how they turned out. 🏛️🕯️ I’ve been exploring designs inspired by ancient sculptures, mythology, and old-world architecture, blending them with my love of cottagecore and handmade craftsmanship. There’s something really satisfying about watching a block of wax slowly become something that looks like it belongs in an ancient temple.
I’d love to know which design is your favorite or what historical or mythological themes you’d love
