Child benefits increase

I just seen a posting on Facebook that there was going to be in increase in the child benefit tax going in today.Thats all good and everything. We dont rely on the money in our household but it does help out especially around the holidays. And I know there are people out there that do need the money and an increase would help them out alot. Anyway, I decided to check my banking and see what the deposit was. I have 3 children and the increase was $0.10. Lol really. I hope its income based and others that need the money more to help make ends meet get a little bit more than that. I would almost rather they took my share and added it to a pot to help someone else. Anyway. Just a little rant.

In a week where Trump’s inflammatory rhetoric against Canada has reached new heights, the political landscape here is shifting in unsettling ways. Pierre Poilievre is showing signs of desperation, while Danielle Smith's proposed Alberta separation referendum is leaving many confused about our nation's unity. It's crucial that we stay informed and involved during this critical time.

Join host Laura Babcock and Calgary communication strategist Bob Picard, a former US resident, for an eye-opening discussion on how Poilievre and Smith are mirroring the toxic MAGA narrative right here at home. This conversation is not just important—it's essential for all Canadians who value democracy and community.

Now is the time to stand up against these divisive tactics. We can’t allow our country to be swayed by culture-war nonsense. Together, we can push back and protect the values that define us as Canadians.

Subscribe, share, and comment to be an active part of our pro-democracy community! Let’s unite to safeguard our nation’s future and ensure that Canada remains a place of inclusivity and respect. Your voice matters—don’t let it go unheard!
