Whenever I view certain effects (such as the fonts for most Lategame rarity items) or being in the Abyss (usually below Y - -600) my entire screen goes black for some reason. Are there shaders that my computer can't handle, or?

(My pc is somewhat low-end, so that's like my only guess)

This excavator is most likely the most serious boss in the calamity community remix, so much infact it should of been separated from the mod and put into the spotlight and turned into its own mod, or put into another mod, or even (but with a very very very low slim chance) added into calamity itself, my man deserves to shine instead of being forgotten in a mod based entirely on satire jokes

I'm playing Rogue with this gear + wrathwing + several potion buffs and I can't beat at least one of the exo-mechs. I managed to get to 40% on Ares at best, and I died at least 30 times on them... Any tips ? Should I try Calamitas first ?

I'm doing my first summoner playthrough and I've just reached the Exo Mechs. These guy's have always given me a really hard time for every class I've played, but summoner has been probably the harder struggle. I'm currently using 2 summons, one sentry (I only have 2 slots) and the Kaleidoscope because duh. Any help would be great. Thanks.

So i was really struggling with infernum moon lord so i used a time cascade to basically farm hearts during a battle. Is it cheating because technically this strat has always been available. It wasnt a crazy amount of heart statues about 3x4

For some reason, sometimes when i want to fight the exo mechs, all three of them will spawn like if you were in phase 3 of the fight but sometimes it just works and only one of them will spawn in the first phase. I cant seem to figure this out if its either a bug or a mod conflict. Does anyone here know something about that problem?

I've been wanting to play Calamity Overhaul for a while after seeing people here bad mouth it saying it crashes corrupts worlds is has op weapons has complicated crafting system etc. I wanted to give my thoughts on it as well.

About crashes: I'm on my third playthrough of it and my playthrough is heavily modded and I never experience heavy crashes, it crashed only once and neither was my worlds corrupted. I'm not sure if I'm lucky or not but with how heavy my modloader is it's surprising I've never experienced these corruptions or crashes.

About Op weapons: Yeah I agree it has op weapons and isn't balanced well but playing on Deathmode helped fix this imo though that's not a good excuse playing on hardest difficulty shouldn't be norm. That being said I actually liked legendary weapon system in all honesty, I liked the fact there are weapons that can scale well into the late game with the small stories they are given like Sir Halibut, SHPC and Muramasa.

About some boss reworks (mainly mechs): I quite liked them actually probably a hotter take here but I prefered them over Infernum. Not every boss in my opinion needs to be a bullet hell spam and I think Overhaul adds some interesting gameplay to them as well, especially twins I loved them more in Overhaul then Infernum.

About Weapon crafting trees or accessories I honestly don't think they are less complicated then base calamity. If we are talking about new draedon stuff they added with excavator energy pipes etc yeah those certainly are but you also don't have to engage with it to play the game or get good accessories.

About other things people criticize the mod about: Stolen code. I'm 99% sure devs resolved this all sources I could find say they did from reddit posts to discord comments etc. I also haven't encountered many bugs at the mod at all.

Conclusion: While I agree mod is unbalanced I don't think it's bad as people make it out to be. I also don't think every mod needs to have balancing sometimes it's just fun to have unbalanced items and have fun. I also wanna repeat these are my opinion no way I'm saying "Well fuck you if you wanted to have balanced gameplay without any op shit" you like what you like I also liked Overhaul more then Infernum but that's mostly because Infernum didn't click for me turning every boss into a bullet hell kinda made them less interesting imo.
