Chapter 1: The Season of Change
The change and adaptation to the system. From an observational point of view to actually livin' the sh\*t, 😆.
As I go about my days I notice the shift in behaviour. People wandering around in pajamas not because of a crisis, but just casually out and about. Comfort over respectable in public. Someone casually in pajamas vs someone in pants and a t-shirt — which one would you take more seriously and actually listen to?
I get it, hell maybe I should try it… or maybe not. Not my style.
What is viewed as attractive or favourable in personality and physiology makes abso-f\*\*\*in' no sense to me. People like different things and find different traits attractive, but love ain’t blind. If you're attractive physiologically but estranged personality-wise, that's when to walk away. If your weirdnesses work together, great — go nuts.
Here's my outlook: I'm an average Joe so I go for an average Jane. If an extremely well-off attractive woman showed interest, I'd be highly skeptical. I know my standing, simple as that. If an attractive but more modest woman showed interest I'd still be skeptical but with less awkward puzzled looks. If an attractive broke woman showed interest she'd get the same skepticism as the rich one.
So what do I find attractive? Both looks and personality equally. If you're an average weight, average height woman with a normal sense of self-worth, in my books that's a 10 out of 10. If you have problems with yourself and turn them into an ordeal or excuses wrapped in ideology, zero interest.
This ties into equality in my books — equal value in self and significant other, and vice versa. If a woman values herself as a woman over a man, zero interest in that mindset. I don't preach it from the hills. I'm a man so that niche worldview doesn't fascinate or attract me. I'm neutral — really don't give a sh\*t. Woppity doo, I have different parts and physiology. No sh\*t, I'm a man. Kinda comes without saying. Reverse it: if I was a woman, woppity doo, I'm a woman. Different physiology yet again. Really doesn't change much. Roles aside, both have their ups and downs.
The woe-is-me attitude? Not attractive. Figure your own self out — everyone does. What makes you special or above the rest? Nothing. These milestones people dwell on are destroying their perspective and perception of reality. Wasted effort. Why take so much time thinking about something? Reflection point: if you talk about doing something longer than it actually takes to do it, you're wasting time and energy. I've seen people arguing about how to do things and by the time they're done arguing, I've already finished it.
What is "average" then? Depends on where you live. If everyone in your area is thin, twiggy is normal. If everyone is heftier, heftier is normal. Get with the program in that sense.
Common decency, good manners, effort, and matching humor play a vital role. If you don't get their humour you won't get them.
Chapter 2: F\*\*\*, Where to Begin
Let's start this one off by saying if life is a lemon I want my money back. The scratch ticket ain’t worked out and life is always sunnier on the other side.
People move to what they see as the sunnier side of life but keep their old habits and wonder why it isn't working out. You gotta jive with the local yokels, my friends. I've moved way too much. I'm pretty shit at it because I'm seen as an old-school hick by most. But this hick's got his tricks.
Start off nice and slow, not to scare them. People are like owls — always observing. Change too fast and their head spins around going “who who? Who are you and why are you trying so hard?” Make a natural shift. Slowly find things in your new environment you click with and roll with that. That's how you build trust and acceptance.
We all want a better life than the one dished out to us, but look around — is your life common for your area? Problem solved, you got nothin' to complain about on that part. You're simply bitching at a dead horse. Everyone's been there. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink.
If your house is a mess, your head is a mess too. If your house is pristine, your head is polished smooth. Neither is the correct answer. Somewhere in the middle — a home that is lived in but clean, organized, with mild clutter. That's healthy.
So clean your ears, splash some water on your face, clean up your home and organize your mind in the process.
Chapter 3: We're Just Gonna Roll With It at This Point
We all complain about taxes and affordability and these things are important, but constantly going around and around spinning in circles is just demolishing our mind. Live below your means if you can. If you can afford a house, get one just below what you can afford monthly. If one isn't available, stay where you're at if possible and save money. Then when one is available, take the opportunity.
When it comes to living paycheck to paycheck, find other ways besides streaming shows and subscriptions. If you can live without it, don't waste money on it. Save your money in ways that affect you very little. Get yourself something nice when you have fluff in your account instead of letting it burn a hole in your pocket. Been there, done that, 😆. I learn everything the hard way.
Nothin' wrong with knock-off KD and homemade stews and chili. Cook more with less for longer periods of time.
Chapter 4: Head Banging Against the Wall
Who suggested it was plausible to live in denial and lie to yourself? If you shovel sh*t for a living, you shovel sh*t for a living. Why hide that? Oh no it's so embarrassing you work for a living and pay your bills. F*** off, who cares? You're doing work. There's always other opportunities — just because you're there doesn’t mean you're there for life. That's choice.
The whole “well I f***ed up once and now I'm done with it.” Heard of walking? Yeah we were all shit at that once. Did ya give up? No. Just because it emotionally set you back it's done, it's over, your ego was hurt. Move on to the next variable. Learn from your past, don't live in it.
Here's where lying to yourself and others gets you: frustrated, confused, apathetic, and constantly in denial. I am who I am, Sam I am, but I'm a man — I can change, I guess, if I have to. Ya don't have to like it but at some point it'll catch up and you have to. Best start sooner rather than later.
People will appreciate and approve of you more for being consistent and predictable.
Chapter 5: Mentally Burnt Madness
You have no clue your head from your ass at this point — well at least I don't in my nonsensical verbal diarrhea 😆.
You see I have 2 eyes, two ears, two nostrils, a mouth and body to go with it. Means I can smell ya, I can hear ya and I can communicate piss poorly with ya. But these things sometimes lie to us and being aware of that guarantees a check-yourself reflection point.
Do I believe everything I see or hear etc.? F*** no. My brain is like a Looney Tunes character. You expect me to establish basic protocols? Thats comedic. See my own brand of self-deprecation reminds me I'm human and not something more or less. If you can't make light-hearted or somewhat derogatory comments about yourself you're clearly not okay with who you are. You have an unhealthy relationship with yourself. So in turn you have unhealthy relationships with others even if you can't personally see it.
If you ever want a truly honest opinion of yourself from a third person, ask your kid — they'll let you know. Or family members. Their opinion holds higher value. Let someone be your reality check. God knows we all need one every once in a blue moon.
Chapter 6: Gremlin Math
If you take a look at all that has transpired since Y2K, what do ya see? Happiness, prosperity and all the lovey-dovey stuff we were promised? Or old problems being regurgitated constantly? What plagued your great grandparents is now rearing its ugly head once again.
So here's the math: if a 1/4 of the population gives you a headache, the other 75% sure as hell could do a little something to make each other's lives a little easier.
We get caught up in sh*t we aren't paid enough to care about nor think about. We already pay physical material tax — why give into the mental taxation on top of that? F*** them. Don’t let the problems of the world land on your dinner table. Life's too short to solve these problems but expanding the energy elsewhere — now that's free.
Stress = life, life = stress and our society benefits off the backs of laborers. Systems are old. We're all simply young to a society that's existed for millennia.
We get ourselves entangled in a web-like torrent of possibilities that are outside our scope.
So do yourself a favour and smell the morning coffee. Appreciate the silence. If you look at our life outside of person-to-person and look at everyone like Google Earth — the big green orb we live on — you see us wandering around, travelling, building structures, blasting stuff into orbit. And like everything else you recognize a pattern. People want a comfortable life with plenty of downtime to explore areas they never saw or things they've never dreamed of.
What you don't see is people constantly looking for ways to take over. When this does happen they sit at tables, change the media narrative, and convert everyday honest people into their own puppets. No one wants to die bloody, but you never see the ones in charge on the line. They manipulate the honest average Joe just as they always have. Most people live peacefully going about their daily business while the other minority sends them where they don't want to go, doing things they didn't want, while being told it's for the best.
Chapter 7: The Madman Behind the Beastie
How much drama right now is going on in your life that is completely preventable but manufactured on purpose? Why are marriages failing? Why are people having less children and more concerned with their wants in life? Simple: people have been programmed through indoctrination to take part in the capitalistic venture — buy into things spur of the moment, worried about their age and time.
Here's the thing: how old would you be if you never knew the day you were born? You'd be as young or old as you believed, so time wouldn't bother you. You would pass by milestones and appreciate the little things. You wouldn't have that sense of rush or worry that's been programmed in.
Here's the thing about our society. It's like playing pretend dress-up and make believe. Yes we all appreciate clothes — keep your bits to yourself and it gets cold. But honestly we created society. Society wasn't something that biologically existed along with us. We made it up, put the loudest most charismatic on top even if they knew sh\*t about sh\*t, as long as they sounded confident that was enough. We weren't very smart but we were effective. We built someone else's vision for them.
Not everyone shares the same vision so you gotta find the group that does. We are tribal mammals that's how we survive. No matter how strong we get our minds are our most powerful weapon yet we abuse and dismiss it every day.
So look at yourself. Look at your vision. Find people and create that vision for yourselves — not everyone but for yourselves. Stay true to yourself without blowing it out of proportion. You find your niche group? Good for you. Keep it. The second someone gets a hair up their ass that everyone should follow suit, knock some sense into them. We're never all going to think in the same manner but we can come to an ultimatum that benefits us all as long as it's nothing harmful or manipulative.
If you have to manipulate someone to listen to you by putting your fingers into every pie available then you're doing something wrong. If you're honest about it we have voting all the time for good ideas and bad ones. If majority says no, then no. If the majority says yes then go ahead but it must be unanimous. That's my math at least — majority ruling. Yay or nay.
Chapter 8: The Math Don't Math
I'm not the smartest cookie in the jar. I'm certain all this has been said before, same for all my posts. But I laugh when the same mistakes we made before happen again, like learning nothing and believing we know everything. They say history won't repeat itself but then why does the cycle continue.
Sincerely,
