Swedish student in my mid-20s nearing graduation for spring semester '27, gonna start applying to positions as fast as fall semester starts in a month because that's generally when most post-grad jobs get released from large companies and most traineeships open their applications. I've had to anonymise a fair amount. Given my roles, I'm quite googlable as I appear on several organisations websites contact pages.

I recently did my cv in English, previously only having a Swedish one so some translations might be a bit quirky so say the least at the moment. It makes somewhat more sense in Swedish at times, I will iron out spellings later but in general is it a competitive and good cv? Especially for management traineeships?

Some things are a bit standard to have on your cv in Sweden, like you generally always include if you have a drivers license, and any and all languages. Several job positions from before my studies aren't on the CV to keep it at 2 pages maximum as that's the general consensus to keep it at.

I only worked at the farm job for a few days, the pub job however was a handful of shifts over the span of a few weeks. It was cash in hand but from what I've read that doesn't seem to matter?

I wasn't sure whether to put the farm one as I didn't work there long at all, but when I asked my local job center and they said i should put it anyway.

I have no GCSE's, attended a college for a couple months with nothing to show for it, I went and got level 2 food and hygiene literally just to have something to put on this.

Is my cv too short? I've heard recruiters prefer 1 page cv hence I summarize all my work experiences.

Hi everyone! I’ve been trying to find a job for almost three years now. During that time, I managed to get a temporary customer representative role on a short-term contract, worked briefly at a fast-food restaurant that hired pretty much anyone and left recently due to toxic work drama, and completed some work experience and volunteering.

I’ve revised my resume again—still for a customer service role—but this time I’ve tried to move away from empty rhetoric and focus on concrete experiences. For instance, instead of just saying I "provide solutions to clients," I now describe how I helped unemployed individuals apply for the annual payment option.

I still lean towards applying for a position at a bank.

First time making a CV for college. I'm an incoming sophie with not much experience pa from college. Since CV is a comprehensive list of all experience, should I include until SHS? JHS?

More questions if I should include or no:

I'm preparing my CV for my masters and I was wondering if there are online templates available that can serve as a guide.

I have downloaded a University specific format too and I plan on using those for that specific University but....

At the same time, I was hoping to create one that could be universal and serve for jobs too.

I want to incorporate my research experience into the CV and I'm having difficulty in how to layout the PI, the lab, the sub divisions, the assignments, the tasks etc.

I also want to add my undergrad research experience which a friend said should be separate but i thought it would look more neat under my undergrad experience rather than chronologically mentioned under my research experience.

So I’m trying to transition out of theatre into a new role I’m open to whatever that may be, so I’ve had this non theatre resume to generally show what I’ve done . I have also worked front of house at a venue, I apply for a lot of jobs mainly part time roles and don’t get a lot of responses. What is my resume lacking in? Have a I left out too much info/ should I be including more? Or do I just have a fugly design lol 😵‍💫

I am planning to apply to UK penultimate year consulting internships in the upcoming application cycle. I was hoping to get any guidance or advice regarding my CV, especially since I only recently decided to go for consulting after realising law was not for me.

I removed a couple of experiences like my tutoring (maths) which I have done since May 2026, as well as having not mentioned any of my law first year schemes since those do not seem relevant to consulting (though I am unsure if adding them would make me stand out and look more unique).

I am pretty sure internships require university grades on there so that took up quite a bit of space. I am not sure if a professional summary is necessary, so I would appreciate any advice on that.

I only became interested in consulting when I started the pro bono consulting internship, so I have not done case competitions or anything of the like.

I am not aiming for MBB (since I do not think I am competitive enough or go to a target school for that), but I am interested in any other firm (specifically like PA Consulting, FTI Consulting etc). I would also greatly appreciate any guidance on which firms I should target.

I'm 23 and looking to get into Human Resources through an apprenticeship. I finished school in my home country in 2019, but had a long gap in my education after moving to the UK due to personal circumstances.

I've been working in admin/recruitment roles since then, and I recently got back into formal study to pass my Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths.

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am looking to diversify out of veterinary medicine and hopefully find something in the charity sector but also keen for research (but seems quite hard without a masters or PhD and I'm still subject to overseas fees), medical writing, anything in academia...

To clarify a few bits on the CV:

1. I combined the three vet jobs I had before my current job (new grad at company 1&2 and just vet at company 3 onward) because I didn't have enough to write about for each section as I felt I did the same things at each job.

2. I have left my graduation years off my degrees as I've seen that can impact recruiters views of you.

I know that I'm using quite a bit of jargon heavy language and not really using the STAR method but I'm struggling to explain what I do any other way. It feels like I've got a million and one skills as a vet but so many of them either feel irrelevant outside of a clinical setting or feel like they are obvious skills a vet has to have so I focus on communication, leadership/mentorship, and relationship building.

I don't currently have any voluntary opportunities I can talk about but have at least two volunteer roles in the works and will hopefully be starting those come autumn.

I would appreciate any help in turning a pretty repetitive and passive CV into something recruiters will want to explore. TIA
