I tried Sureau and Caribou in Quebec earlier this year and loved it, but not available in Victoria, BC. Any specific wine, beer or spirits youโll order direct from another province for delivery?

What does everyone think of Goodfood? I've been a customer for years. I like that they are a Canadian company that sources as much locally as they can.

Despite the โMade in Canadaโ banner being part of their logo, not everything is made in Canada. You have to check each product. For example, the vintage pigment dyed tees are made in the USA

Hi! Iโve cut a lot of US based goods and products from shopping basket. However I am having challenges with alternatives to whole foods in Vancouver. In particular, I buy organic meats (better from an animal welfare perspective, etc, etc) from WF. I find I can buy veg from Save on or other shops.
I am not a fan of Choices. Their stores are cramped and I find their selection to be poor. Also their prices are really high in comparison to WF. Any recommendations?

I order "NELLIE'S Lamby Dryerballs" from: homehardware DOT ca/en/lamby-dryerballs-4-pack/p/4527770
When the arrived, they smell scented. Nellie's was kind enough to send a replacement, but they too smelled scented.
Has anyone else found this to be the case?

If you e are getting direct to consumer alcohol from the other provinces, who does what best? Where should we be directing our shopping dollars? Letโs start a suggestion list.

At my local Sobey's today and was very happy to see the Canadian strawberries sold out - I took the last package at $5.99. Meanwhile, it appeared the entire stock of "Produce of USA" strawberries was still on the shelf despite selling for a buck less. They had not even been touched. Well done, fellow shoppers!
But why doesn't Sobey's stock more of the local berries and dump the American ones altogether. It is summer afterall.
To quote someone: "We don't need anything they've got."

Just wanted to add that Royal Chinet paper plates are made in Canada and all come from one factory in rural Nova Scotia!

I did a little bit of shopping this month and wanted to share some of the Canadian brands I've bought, tried and enjoyed.
Martino. Made in Quebec City. I am waiting for a certain pair of boots to restock so I can buy them. I have a pair of sneakers from them already.
Routine Natural Beauty. Natural beauty care products based in Calgary, made in Canada. I got a deodorant, although I don't like the glass pot style. Next time I'll get the stick (theirs are made of paper).
Canadian Companies, manufactured elsewhere:
Devon & Lang. Men's underwear, women's underwear. Designed in Calgary, made in China. Comfortable, fun colours, true to size, and the company makes charitable donations.
Harmonica. Leather shoes and sandals. Canadian company, made in Mexico. Comfortable and true to size.
EDIT: Poplin & Co. Canadian company, and designer draws her own prints but made elsewhere. (I originally posted that they are made in Canada, but that's not correct. FWIW they use BSCI-approved factories - mine was made in China.) Pre-shrunk cotton which i appreciate. My only beef is that I'm tall and I find the inseam a little too short on the jumpsuits.

Has anyone bought this bed?
I recently bought this bed from Structube. It was on backorder and came a few weeks after I had placed the order.
I have to say that the build experience was really poor. My family has gotten structube beds before and those were all very smooth in terms of building experience. However, this one had multiple issues.
The first issue was that I was missing an entire bag of washers. I went to a nearby Structube store and they were able to help me out and give me some washers, which I really appreciated.
The second issue was that some of the pre-drilled holes did not line up with where they were supposed to be drilled into the frame. This happened on multiple different wood slats.
It got to the point where one step in the building process I had to pre-drill my own holes because they simply would not lineup properly otherwise.
I noticed that this bed is no longer on their website and I wonder if itโs because of issues with this building experience.
I overall really love the look of the bed and my first sleep on it was great. But I have a bad taste in my mouth about all the issues from building it.
I wanted to know if anybody else had similar experiences!

I think I'll need to go European, but I thought I'd ask - I'm looking for a chain lock for a bike, similar to the Kryptonite ones. I think Hiplock and Oxford are UK, so that might be what I do.
I might also need a bike light - any Canadian companies?

I've found Canadian protein bars online but I want to just buy them from a store instead of ordering a big box. I've only looked in save on foods but there's a couple Super Stores, safeways and Chalos near me.

I am a new homeowner setting up my own bed for the first time. I have acquired a 10" Douglas foam mattress, and an older wooden bed frame that was designed to be used with a traditional box spring.
Because it's a foam mattress, I can't use a traditional box spring and instead need a foundation with slats no more than 3" apart, to prevent sagging.
Because of the measurements of the bed frame, it must be 9" thick (any thinner and there will be a gap between the top of the mattress and the solid part of the headboard).
I have been struggling to find a foundation that meets these three criteria:
- 9" thick
- No more than 3" between slats
- Delivery to Ontario
If anyone knows of a foundation/box spring that meets these criteria, please let me know!

I can get a great deal on the Champs Onyx carryon and I love the look of the brown one. It's a Canadian company. I need a bag that will hold a full size laptop, and I love the idea of the accessible laptop pocket.
There are very few online reviews available, so would love to hear from you if you have it...or maybe you considered it and rejected it?
There's a similar one from Hays but apparently it takes a max 14" laptop and I prefer a 15.5" one.
Thanks folks.
