Discussion Ai-made crochet patterns sold on Etsy

Has anyone else tried to look up a crochet pattern to buy on Etsy, only to be bombarded by tons of ai crochet photos..and worse, ai crochet patterns?
I’m sure it’s one thing to receive help to make a crochet pattern using ai and then having it tested over and over for your buyers. However, it feels very misleading to buy a pattern that wasn’t made by the Etsy seller, but was in fact made by ai. On top of that, the photos of their amigurumi or crochet patterns they’re selling are ai as well. It’s gotten so bad that I’m seriously considering opening a shop on Etsy to produce patterns and photos of the patterns and then mentioning in bold letters “not ai”.
I’m going to be honest. When looking for a pattern, and I see an ai photo of it instead of their real product, I immediately skip it. It feels like a lack of effort and creativity went into the product.
Is anyone else going crazy by this?

I was pointed here by another sub.

I started watching Doctor Who a few years ago while also teaching myself how to crochet. So I’ve been making all the Doctors as I’ve finished their seasons.

Decided to make an attempt at free handing my first thing this week- and it worked pretty well!

Presenting Clara (freehand) and the Twelfth Doctor (had a pattern for him but made some tweaks to his hair- it needed to be poofy!)

Bonus points as they’ve been my favorite duo so far.

Discussion How many WIPs do you have? What’s your record?

I have four, which is my peak (so far) , listed oldest to newest

A C2C block stitch ombré throw blanket

A moss stitch temperature blanket

A top (my first wearable where fit matters) though technically I’m just doing the gauge swatch

A dishcloth for a fundraising craft sale in yarn I hate working with

This doesn’t count the Suzette stitch bookmarks I make sometimes or hair scrunchies or fidgets, all of which will go into the craft sale
