I think crit build is just objectively better for HoB. It's much higher damage, you benefit from building titanic hydra second item so you get more HP, and you build LDR third item for armor pem so you cover everything. You have arm ped and enough HP to survive.

If you go lethality you'll build Voltiac into either collector or Profane, so for third item if you build Edge of Night for HP and they build armor you'll lose so much damage. You can build Seryldas third item but now you're as squishy as ADC. All those compromises and you still deal less damage than crit anyways. I don't get it honestly

Briar teeth ;P

Briar OTP, you can't carry on this champ every fucking game there is always a skill difference I get some gold 2 mid laner or adc and because I'm hard stuck plat it levels it out but what this means is that I'm having to play against a fed ADC or mage all game.

Even if you play briar well you can't carry in this elo.

In the end I was lv 13 and enemy Kayn was lv 16 with 50+ more cs than me. The issue is that all my lanes also needed those ganks as they were pushed in so I couldn't find any downtime to farm at all. Should I just try to ignore good gank angles until I clear?

Also best crit build? I go collector into ie but idk what else

Not a jg main but honestly crit briar is so broken in my current games that I'm considering doing jg again

E4 here. I keep finding myself ahead, like 4/0/0 ahead. But i struggle to win. I carry into midgame and either team takes advantage and we win early/team carries me late game. Or ai cant close out and get out carried late game. What should I be doing once ahead? A few problems ive identified:

1) Build

I start bork/titanic and then dont know what to do. I can just go BC and finish brusier build but sometimes I feel like I should pivot to more damage but I don't know what is next. What is a good damage item when ahead? Is LDR a good third option here? What about sundered sky?

2) Macro

I think I should start invading and denying enemy jg everything I can and gank/pressure side lanes when possible. I think my problem is I get stuck in the meat grinder of 5v5 and cant out carry whoever is ahead on enemy team

3) Team fights

When they have a bruiser or dive champ that's ahead I struggle to know what to do. If I dive the backline I feel like my team just dies and I cant clean up. But when I front line, we dont have the damage to kill front to back. This might just be woe is me, or misunderstanding who on my team is strong. I think when I get ahead a lot of the time I'm playing against another person thats ahead and it's who can carry better. Maybe this goes back to 2, limit team fights?

I know Briar has a wide variety of builds, and I've heard a thing or two about it in other lanes, but only now have I seen proof that this can actually work.

Account: It was early morning, after 1 or 2 AM. I found a match, pre-selected Briar, and waited. My sup and mid laner also pre-select Briar. My support picks Briar. At first, I thought it was a troll; I didn't expect to see a Briar support in Silver. But, my god, that guy played really well, at least in my opinion he played really well.

After that, I started wondering if I should try it. The jungle is good, but the idea of playing in a different lane seems fun.

Is anyone reading this a Briar main in another lane? Aside from the jungle, what's the worst and best lane for her?

I don't think I have ever beat this matchup. He just heals a ton mid-fight and deals insane damage. So I just end up perma banning him. Any tips or suggestions?

Take everything i’m gonna say here with a grain of salt, since i’m hardstuck plat trying to reach emerald for the first time ever. I wanna call myself Briar otp, since i decided to play only her and have been doing it, but my stats this season are not otp worthy at all (Barefoot Gremlin#chomp on SEA server if you wanna look, judge, give advice or laugh at how many games i’ve played this season)

Now i have 66.7% winrate on her so far (120 games in ranked) and i thought why not make a tier list of builds that i’ve tried and used. This will be ranked not only by strength, but also how much fun they are to play (my opinion and experience only)

S-Tier

Hubris into full crit. (HoB)
The most fun build for me so far. I also usually build DD last or 4th if i need, it’s an amazing item for Briar.
550-600 AD late game, huge crits that melt everyone, a lot of fun and makes enemies type “jg diff” in all chat

Crit bruiser (PTA)
Collector > Titanic > LDR > DD > EH
A lot of damage, more sustain, good into tankier teams or against burst

A-Tier

Botrk bruiser (PTA)
Botrk > BC > DD > EH
Good into HP tanks, heavy frontline team comps and as a starter build to learn the champ.

Titanic bruiser (PTA)
Titanic > BC > DD > EH
Same shit but tankier, more team oriented in my opinion, allows you to start fights and engage head first

Semi on-hit (HoB)
Kraken > Collector > DD > EH
Fun, a lot of damage, good into squishy teams or with low cc, only tried it once and it let me demolish Yone jg and Yas mid, will try again

B-Tier

Lethality briar (HoB)
Full lethality on Briar feels weird, i feel like it lacks a lot of team fight potential and you’re only good for picks, struggles against tanky team comps, only good into 4+ squishies, falls off hard late game

HP tank (Conqueror)
Heartsteel > Titanic > Bloodlord’s
Weird, fun, but lacks agency. Only good if you’re the only melee champ on the team and other players can follow up. Almost unkillable, but not enough damage to win fights on your own

That’s all i can think of, there are probably more builds out there that i haven’t tried yet, especially with all the videos from L0ganJg that i haven’t watched yet

So, I build the bruiser build with titanic cleaver DD and so on and normally I use to go PTA cuz that is the rune every site/content creator recommends.

However, in one game after I finished one with NOC, I accidentally left the runes to LT and man what a difference. LT felt significantly powerful than PTA!!!

I was like how is this possible so to test the theory I played like 15-20 games more and in each game I felt significantly stronger with LT!!! Played 2 games with PTA after that and I immediately felt weaker! I quickly shifted to LT.

I mean what is this? Is everyone lying to us? Even in ganking LT is better. The DPS increase is so good.

Can someone explain why this is happening? I mean everyone recommending PTA but LT feels significantly better is almost all situations. If you face squishy, you kill them, if you face tanks build BOTRK and melt them!

I'm planning on making a video on why I think Briar is an amazing champion release compared to the other champions in the past 3 years. It's kind of a Briar appreciation video. I would love to hear some of your opinions on why you think Le Briar is so awesome.
