I’m about 3 months in to brawl stars and I really enjoy the game and I’m sure they’re people who feel the same way I do but Why are buggies downright tedious and almost impossible to unlock unless i just go pay to play? I’m free to play and every match I feel like I’m losing to someone I should be beating but they just bust out some op buffie ability and I almost quit ranked cause of it. The worst part is not only do I need 1k coins +2800 pp I can’t even choose what I want at least lemme choose what I want or if not then make it cheaper I feel like 1k coins + 1k pp is fair

Obviously it’ll have to make some changes with seeing your team and what not but if you can scroll side to side with this menu it’s honestly not too small to see each character and it’s so much better in my opinion something like this.

Star nova gadget frees Kit from his stun bound state but leaves the brawler stunned, similar to Shade water and wall interactions.

This is probably known by some people but I don’t see it often despite Star Nova being super meta so I doubt it’s that known.

Also it’s kinda fun when members of a trio have good synergy with eachother.

You cannot charge her hypercharge while using the empowered super, even if you cast it right before hypercharge runs out. Is this intended?

Note: It doesn't have to be a brawler on this list, these are just the notables ones.

Obviously throwers are good on maps with plenty of walls but are they useful in this meta with strong aggro (stella, edgay) and wall break (griff,brock) and if yes which ones and in what cases are they useful as a 6th pick on which maps/modes and what makes a thrower particularly good on a certain map and most importantly which ones are worth upgrading for ranked... ziggy, willow and berry are included in the throwers category btw.

Also feel free to share your opinion on the meta in general whether you like it/not or is a thrower meta gonna be the most cancerous meta (probably never gonna be as bad as bolt meta).

To start off, I have yet to see a griff play 2nd gadget, and everyone plays the first one. This is why the gadget the useful.

1. It provides increasing area control, pretty much shutting down a lane.
2. The recharge is super fast (15 sec) and it lasts for quite some time so you can cycle it really fast
3. Since it’s super large throw range + increasing size, you can throw it far to a low enemy who is hiding behind walls and it is guaranteed to deal 2-3 ticks which is around 2k max.

The biggest problem is that it does like very little damage, but it can be used to shut down lane as it grows meaning they will have to take quite a few ticks to pass.

The main gadget though almost never hit, and is easy to dodge. There is also the knockback, but since griffs main point is anti tank/damage up close, they don’t need a knockback to avoid assassins. The main purpose is of course the wallbreak, which makes sense, so unless you don’t need a wall break I feel like the 2nd gadget has its uses.

I’m in Masters, and I’m really struggling to get my Bolt to Prestige 3. It’s been 8 days, and I still can’t get past 2700 trophies.
It feels like there’s always something working against me. Either matchmaking takes forever, the map rotation is terrible, or there are no teammates available. Most of the time, the Search for Team feature doesn’t work, so I end up playing solo against coordinated teams with pro-level players and just lose.
How are people reaching Prestige 3 so easily while I’m stuck? Am I missing something, or is there a better way to push?

I’ve been playing Brawl Stars for almost 2 months, and I managed to reach Legendary 2 before the end of last ranked season.
Getting to Mythic 2 wasn’t too difficult, but after that I went on a huge losing streak all the way back to Plat3. Looking back, I think I struggled because I still didn’t know every brawler, their matchups, or how to draft properly. I also only had 9 maxed brawlers, so my options were pretty limited.
I eventually made it to legendary league and reached L2, but when I tried pushing higher, I hit another losing streak. By then I was pretty burned out, so I decided to stop for the season.
This season I’m back at Mythic 2, and I have 3 more maxed brawlers than I did last season. I’m trying to improve my drafting, but I still have a lot to learn.
Does anyone have any tips for reaching Masters? I’ll also attach a picture of all my brawlers. If you see any non-maxed brawler that would be a great investment for ranked, I’d really appreciate your recommendations.

So I was playing back when Power League was a thing. I was mostly a casual player, so I didn't play much ranked Honestly, though, I don't remember it being that difficult. I'm not saying I was good or anything, I only peaked at Gold I, but I barely pushed. So why was Power League considered harder than Ranked 1.0 and 2.0?

Will that work in the current meta?

We all know new brawlers when released are purposefully made strong to incentivize people to spend money and max them out, however, with Bolt, not only are his numbers ridiculous, but the main problem resides within his design as a brawler. Unlike most recent brawlers, you can nerf his numbers again and again, and you will not have a balanced Bolt, you will either end up with a terrible brawler, rotting in F tier or an overpowered one, making the game miserable for others. Personally I think Bolt needs a rework

Who thought about giving shields and damage reduction to a tank who already has lots of hp and is the fastest brawler in the game? It’s objectively a terrible design. Those sustain traits like healing and shields or %dmg reduction, should be given to brawlers who without it, they would be extremely vulnerable and useless, for example, Edgar and Mortis. Take away their sustain and they are F tier brawlers. Bolt on the other hand, doesn’t need all that sustain on top of his speed, hp and other traits. He can dodge attacks easily because of his speed, and his hp should be more than enough

Bolt should be a Controller Tank, relying on his speed and hp to tank and using his super to pressure/zone enemies, that’s why he leaves a trail of damage, as well as assisting with some CC. His “Toss Up” SP fits him perfectly. Should he do damage? Yes, every brawler should be able to deal some form of damage, but unless your whole thing is to deal damage, you shouldn’t be able to just one shot people as a tank. He already has damage reduction, his shield is unnecessary. His “bouncy ball” gadget is very well designed, but Oil Change is so broken that why would you use it? Remove his “Oil Change” gadget for something that would help him with what he is good at. Maybe able to control his movement freely for a few seconds without breaking his speed to maneuver through certain obstacles better. Nerf his damage, we can keep the damage reduction but either nerf the damage reduction % or reduce his hp. His cc immunity rework is way better than before, and now it’s more balanced, him being immune to his weakness for a second shouldn’t be too frustrating and would demand Bolt to know when to go in and possibly win a game, not just mash super and go brrr. From this point, he could be balanced way better and buffed or nerfed according to the circumstances

-Nerf Hp or Dmg Reduction

-Replace “Oil Change” gadget

-Balance him around being a “Tank Controller”

Brawl stars really doesn’t know how to design brawlers anymore, they have a solid idea, but then mess it up by thinking that removing their weaknesses and slapping unnecessary stuff is somehow “balancing them”. He can be reliable, fun to play and strong without having to be broken or useless

Whenever my teammates pick something along the lines of Bo, Griff, Spike, Rico, Brock or sometimes even Surge in gamemodes where there are much better first picks (e.g. hotzone Finx, heist Colt, bounty Gene/Angelo), my mind goes completely blank. I just don't know what to do when we give the enemy team such an advantage in draft.

Besides the obvious "just go carry picks" / "carry harder lol" responses, what should I be doing? Also, is it better to ban the npc picks?

Pls, I am genuinely lost in this department.

Playing against Surge, Max, Nori, Griff and Edgar all feel like a nightmare right now, and they are all so good currently. Firstly Griff and Edgar can burst you down instantly with the latter being able to catch up as well. Surge and Nori are also so annoying since they can combo their attacks together and altogether deal massive damage, and Max is just impossible to catch up with.

As a person that normally main assassins such as Kenji, Mortis, Kaze and Alli, how do I counter them? (please delete buffies i'd rather have a mythic gear for every brawler)

In the last year I played a lot of ranked I watched scrims mf,guides,pros when they do live stream I ask people who are good at the game question i try to learn the draft yet I don’t even begin to understand how to play any carry brawlers.In the past year while I grinder ranked a lot I went from last summer Mythic 3 to L1 (I’m L3 but I got carried by a pro and I don’t deserve it at all)

Since I struggled to understand these brawlers I tried watching guides and I don’t understand any of it and had to almost unlearn what I had been thought because it was ridiculously bad.

When I’m speaking about Carry brawlers I’m speaking about the Mina Kaze Alli pierce etc… because I always felt more comfortable with more safer brawlers.With these carry brawlers I win maybe 10-15% of my games.

What are the best advice on how to begin to understand them.

I just got her to Prestiege 2 yesterday but it was a terrible experience. I can understand some good things but I can't really seem to understand the full picture. If I wanted a somewhat tanky character that can jump/dash with a quick unload speed, why would I not just use Edgar or Surge or Nori? With edgar and Nori they both can self heal too so I cannot see myself using Starr Nova when those two feel better and for me more fun to use. The floaty gadget is cool but enemies just tend to destroy it as soon as I place it down since they know it is good. And her range isnt the greatest either. Can someone help me just understand the purpose of her?

Starr Nova Hyper just dropped chat. Is it any good? Seems like it takes pretty long to charge, havent actually been able to use it in any games.
