On March 24, 2026, City of Boerne IT Director Mike Raute explained the City’s stated purpose for the cameras in an email:

“Flock has become an incredibly valuable tool for our police officers every single day. It acts as a powerful ‘force multiplier’…”

He listed these specific uses:

• Rapid recovery of stolen vehicles and property via hotlist alerts
• Faster case clearances for burglaries, thefts, robberies, etc.
• Crime prevention / deterrence (citing 40-70% reductions in similar communities)
• Proactive alerts and hot-spot detection
• Better resource allocation for officers
• Regional data sharing with neighboring agencies

On data handling he wrote:

“All data is encrypted, owned and controlled by the City… automatically deleted after 30 days… No names, faces, or personal identifiers are stored — just vehicle information visible on public roads.”

He also noted that many of the newer cameras are actually installed by private businesses and HOAs that share data with Boerne PD.

Councilman Ty Wolosin forwarded a note from Police Chief Perez adding that Texas DPS had just signed with Flock, so more cameras are expected statewide.

Just moved here and looking for a regular old pizza takeout/delivery joint for family pizza night.

It seems like Boerne either has "fancy" pizza of the 12-14" wood fired variety, or chain pizza like Pizza Hut, Dominoes, Little Caesar's.

Am I missing a local place?

We tried Marco's last night. It was pretty meh on the pizza and the wings were really, really bad. Tiny, rubbery, I have no idea what the sauce was but it was NOT buffalo.

We have an RV based on a 2023 RAM Promaster 3500 which is usually kept at a storage location near Boerne. Is the service dept at Boerne Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/Ram over on IH-10 any good ? There's a recall on our Promaster that needs to be addressed and I'd rather not have to drive it all the way back into San Antonio if I don't have to...

Or will it? I've heard gas leak/repairs, ice hanging around town, etc. Just would like them to open back up. If you are gonna hate on the food/people, please refrain as I'd just like to see if anyone has any real Intel on the restaurant.

I was hesitant to post this one, however, I shall!

I have a general idea of who he is, however, I wanted to hear what r/Boerne thinks of him. While I have discussed him in a prior comment section, I figured that there should be a dedicated post.

I’ve heard a lot of negative about him. I can count positive perspectives about the man on only one hand. It’s my understanding that he was somehow appointed by Greg Abbott.

The title is rhetorical. I know she is, thats why I’m writing this post. That being said, I’m eager to hear from people on this sub as to what they think of her?

Offline, I’ve noticed a gradual trend. years ago, people really liked her. Over time, I began hearing more negative things such as allegations of corruption, poor handling of custody cases involving allegations of abuse and, her being “worse than Palmer”.

I prefer to shop at the local H-E-B as opposed to the Walmart. In my opinion, H-E-B has better staff and a better variety of products to choose from. that being said, I will say Walmart has definitely stepped up their game in recent years. it’s much cleaner than it used to be years ago (in my opinion) and as a result, I enjoy shopping there much better.

I do think HEB has a better deli.

I’ve lived here for 13 years and have shopped many of the Main Street stores but had never been into the one on the creek called Traditions until yesterday. I can’t believe I never knew we even had such a beautiful store here for us “mature” ladies. If you are like me and drive by it almost every day and have never been in …go check it out. Such nice people working there and They have the prettiest and nicest selection of clothes and SHOES! And yes…I spent too much money 😂

This post is about an experience I had within his tiny little "courtroom" in May, when my father and I were supposed to appear in truancy court over the number of absences I've had in one school year. My father is mostly deaf, and so he speaks very loudly just out of habit when talking to us. Obviously, whoever talks to him has to speak either very close to him or loudly. However, throughout the court session, Judge Neighbor repeatedly kept talking to my dad at a normal volume despite being told multiple times to speak to him loudly. Every time my dad sat closer to the judge (with permission given by Neighbor himself at the start of the session), he would grow more irritated. He also seemed to be irritated just by the fact that my dad can't hear, and so every time my dad would ask judge neighbor to repeat whatever he said, he would shout his disbelief, claiming that if he were to ask him to repeat anything more, he would hold him in contempt of court.

Another thing the judge did was pretty much ignore my questions to him and the plaintiff, all while answering questions made by the plaintiff. I'm guessing he was ignoring me only because I'm a teenager, and he only takes the plaintiff's questions seriously because he's older than me. Classic case of ageism you can find anywhere here in Boerne, only because old geriatric MAGA conservatives run the city government and the jobs here. Anyway, this guy should definitely be removed from office or at least reprimanded. We already have enough "isms and ists" in Boerne.

I‘m curious to hear what people think of Miss Bishop. I’ve heard some say she’s solid, and others critical. Someone said something about an email address that she apparently doesn’t use, and they think that it’s waste for her to have it if she doesn’t use it. I don’t know whether that’s true or not, though.

Anyway, what does r/Boerne think of Nicole Bushop?
