Sae was sortof like a leader due to his positioning, but Aiku felt more like a captain. Isagi somewhat plays like that sometimes, like when he orderer kurona and raichi and etc. Rin was sortof like this when he was copying Sae. Niko and Reo sometimes act like that too. Am i missing any? A full club league arc gets too complicated since you have to take into account domestic leagues, the champions league, domestic tournaments, ect. and also creating a bunch of new characters which this manga is already full of. I think an NEL 2.0 where the masters play the entire time, more teams which existing characters already play on (like Hugo for Arsenal, or ReAl with Sae and Luna) are introduced, and where characters who didn't play in the first NEL play (Bunny on Barcha) is much better since you get the feel of a champions league without actually going into the logistics.
