Only the flying murloc can find this secret fishing spot.

Reeling the fish in costs energy, the same for the fish when it "bursts" away (the red exclamation ‼️is a pre warning). The player will lose more energy if they are reeling the fish in at the same time the fish is "bursting" away. Player will lose the fish at 0 energy or if the fish gets too far. If both have zero energy, not reeling the fish will cause it to swim side to side with no distance change.

Eventually adding snags to get stuck on, diverse fish to catch with unique abilities, a "Yank" left/right ability to manually change the direction of the fish and also nudge in the chosen direction - to avoid snags.

For example, hooking a cod will make you have to completely avoid snags as it will naturally trigger a "burst" away when aligned with a snag. A swordfish could have a huge dash and just be generally hard to not let her out of distance, perhaps even a last stand where they do one last burst back out with triple power or whatsoever.

Discussion How an Era Died in Me, but My Faith in the Legend Didn’t

My name is Mao. I'm a gamer, creator, worldbuilder, developer, writer, artist, game designer, musician, and storyteller. I know, it sounds strange. But I just listed everything I do. Because every time I create something, I can't help but remember the legend that inspired me, the ideals I still live by, and the name that meant everything to me: Blizzard.

I know some won’t agree, and that’s okay. But this is a personal story. I wanted to share what I feel, what I believe, and why this legacy still matters to me. Maybe some of you feel the same. And if you do, maybe our shared voice will mean something.

Since childhood, I loved games. Do you know that feeling? The moment a game becomes more than just pixels? When the story, the cinematics, the world, the music - all of it stays with you for decades? When a game release felt like an era, a holiday, not just "another drop"?

That was Blizzard. The old Blizzard. Before Activision.

In my eyes, no one ever stood on the same peak as them. I’m not trying to discredit anyone else, but when I look at what the industry is now - even the best of it - I don’t see the level of care, culture, and quality that Blizzard once gave us.

Remember when a game wouldn't ship until it was done? Remember when "Soon" meant "Perfect is coming"? Remember the absence of bugs? But more than that - remember the worlds?

Warcraft. StarCraft. Diablo. Each one was a living, breathing culture. They didn’t just change games. They changed us. We fought over Arthas vs. Illidan, poured hours into theorycrafting, explored lore like it was sacred text.

They didn’t make games. They made legends.

So when it all fell... it felt like something inside me died. Not just because we lost a studio. But because we lost an ideal. A whole philosophy. Craft over cash. Art over hype.

Yes, there are still amazing studios. Yes, there are still passionate devs. But even the best today feel like fragments of something bigger that we once had. Blizzard set the standard.

When I see "early access", battle passes, and rushed launches - I remember a time when that was unthinkable. When a Blizzard release meant no bugs, no broken systems, just balance, polish, and magic.

And I mourn it.

To be honest... I don’t recognize Activision Blizzard. I don't consider them the same company. That Blizzard - the one we loved - is gone.

But the legend remains.

And here’s the part I hold onto: If those people - that old team, that old soul - ever came together again... I believe the world would witness something unforgettable. Not because of nostalgia. But because they proved, time and time again, that their work could change lives.

And if I could help bring that back in any way - if I could tell them just one thing - it would be:

If you're like me - if you still believe...
Let’s say “Thank you” - for the childhood, for the emotions, for the legend that still lives within us.
But not just thank you.

If you feel the same - if you miss those times, those stories, that era - let’s say it together:

Let them hear it. Let them know - we're still here. And we still believe.

En Taro Blizzard.
You were, are, and always will be a legend.
