I'm nervous but I kinda like them! My reflection keeps freaking me out though lol

The first pic is november of 2025. The last 4 pics are this month. My hairstylist was astonished by how my hair grew. I didn't think it was a big deal, thought it was normal growth. While many content creators in videos online was recommending products and oils I stuck to just washing my hair.

Just to note the hair in the second pic is further from the camera so it might seem a little shorter than it is (I think). Also, rate my cornrow style while you're here.

These make me wanna loc my actual hair but ik it wouldn’t look the same 😩

Compared to getting braids done, crochet hair feels so much lighter. It doesn't feel like it's pulling on my scalp at all, and I feel like my own braids underneath are actually being protected instead of stressed.

I also love the volume. I've never been able to get curls this defined on my natural hair, but this honestly feels like my hairstyle now.

So ive been growing out my hair for awhile now but im entering the 12th grade and i want somethint different, what do i
do??

(17F) I am going through a dilemma right now. For most of my life, my mom would style my hair naturally. The twists with the barrettes and all the usual hair styles that I would wear. I would always speak about how I didn't like it and I wish my hair was straighter. So, I started getting my hair pressed at 6. Then it was braids. I got my first quick weave last year. I don't think I've spent more than a week with my natural hair, and every time I do wear it, especially out of the house, I dread it. My family and my loved ones say that I have a lot of beautiful hair that's healthy. But I only think the opposite. I think its hard to work with, and makes me look bad.

So I ask, how do you manage your natural hair to make it look better, and how do you stay confident, even when you're somewhat insecure about it.

I’m going to be fostering two black girls that I’ve known for a while now, and while I’ve helped care for their hair in the past (putting in oil and minor detangling) I’m definitely in way over my head and figured I should seek some advice.

First off, I want to put together some hair care boxes for them so that they have what they need. Because they’re in foster care, they don’t usually have the supplies they need to properly care for their hair, and I want to make sure that they at least have that. If anyone has any advice on what sort of things I should pick up for them, I would be extremely grateful. Diffusers, oils, shampoos/conditioners, brush types, etc. anything and everything.

I’ve been looking at different videos, but I fear I may be looking in the wrong places. Any videos or channels you might suggest would be appreciated.

So some time ago i just noticed there was a big patch of hair missing, which was there literally the day before and was gone by the time i woke up the next morning, so what was the cause and how can i prevent it from happening again? (I already buzzed my hair and grew it back out to around half of the length in this photo)

So in the first photo and I believe the second one two, shank buttons are used to keep the attachments in hair. But idk how am I supposed to go about adding it in. Would I have to ask my braider? Or could I attached through my hair using bobby pin or safety pin. And if so would it be noticeable/look tacky?

I recently got two strand twists with my roots braided am wondering if the twist out will still come out good if the roots are braided or not

I spent some months without combing my hair, so i let my mom do it cause i couldnt figure out how to do it. It hurt alot and i dont know if she did it right but it looks weird now, can it go back to normal? How am i supposed to comb it in the first place? It is seriously so full i dont find a way to do it even when its wet.

I’m currently in school in a town that has very few natural hair stylists. Recently, I’ve fallen in love with kinky straight hair. My own natural hair is healthy and full, but I want length!!!!! My kinky straight wig has me stressing out all day because it feels like it’s going to fall off.

1. I need hair from a site that delivers very very quickly (if you have Amazon recommendations, it might be best)

2. For a full head, Should I get clip ins or the miracle knot hair?

3. Since this hair is probably going to be 300+ dollars for 18+ inches on a whole head, I need the hair to be fully human, very minimal shed ding , and doesn’t tangle up at a glance. Preferably the hair can hold a curl easily.

Please any recommendations or advice is greatly appreciated. If anyone has experience with either method please let me know the pros and cons

Updates now growing back of my ears even more for an actual low mid taper it’s noticeable because my barber had a great em idea to cut my right side and I had a feeling he was and it happened now I’m going to stop going to him outta respect for myself and hair journey.i’m already insecure about myself and people make feel it already than I need too.So I’m growing it out for the haters and liberals that make fun of me because of my patch and don’t feel like starting over if I do my hair would be all over the place growing so I’m actually going to wolf for about year now just prove people that I can grow my shit.my barber going to him with a full set of hair one day just tell him hey just need a line up and don’t touch the back and or the side of my ear or nothing because I’m always spefice with people now I’m disappointed in my child hood barber.any advice just been oiling everything out so it can grow out got these braids and I’m going to wash them in a month so the gel and everything and come out because I do is wash my hair everytime in a style keep it for a while so can grow it out.
