With LocalBitcoins gone, LocalCoinSwap unavailable in the UK, and very little activity on Hodl Hodl, I'm curious how people are handling buying/selling Bitcoin for cash these days.

I'm specifically looking to sell BTC without using banks or exchanges where possible. Ideally that would be:

• Cash in person.
• Cash by mail (where appropriate and both parties are comfortable).

I'm not looking to do anything shady, I just value privacy and would rather avoid the banking system where possible.

For those of you in the UK:

• How are you finding buyers or sellers?
• Are there any platforms or communities that still work well?
• Has everyone just moved to private networks and referrals?
• Are there any methods you'd recommend?

If anyone has experience navigating this since LocalBitcoins shut down, I'd really appreciate hearing how you've approached it.

Shorting is not allowed in the uk , but I am sure there is some kind of way around this. Does anyone know how I can do this?

Worried that if I die my wife will be clueless.
