Discussion Pre Hybrid Wheel Syetem Metal Fight beys had proper names in the Taiwanese release.

I remember when MFB first released in Taiwan, I was in 1st grade in elementary school. Calling it an instant sensation would be an understatement.

As a kid, I remember back then everyone called the pre hybrid system Pegasis 105F "Comet Pegasis (流星天馬)", like even to this day people my age still call it Comet Pegasis. So you can imagine my confusion when my foreign friends told me that Pegasis 105F is just called Pegasis.
After that, I started to wonder if the name was just a common playground myth or actually legit. During my research, I stumbled upon the still-functional Taiwanese 2008 Beyblade website.

To my surprise, not only was the "Comet Pegasis" name right there, confirming the name to be official, but all the other first-wave MF beys have proper names. But what's weirder is that they gave the recolors different names too. Idk if it's the distributor's choice to give them names or what, but at least they have names.

Here are the names:
BB01 Comet Pegasis 105F
BB02 Iron Bull 125SF
BB03 Ultimate Sagittario 145S
BB04 Emperor Leone 145D
BB05 Frost Pegasis 145D
BB06 Blaze Bull 145S
BB07 Angel Sagittario 125SF
BB08 Berserk Leone 105F
BB09 God Thunder Pegasis 105F Stadium Set

On the website, there's also a guide on how to make a Reaper Aries with WBBA parts.
"First use the WBBA face bolt, then use a Tri-Face Aries metal blade, add the ratchet from Justice Libra, lastly use the bit from Comet Pegasis."
And also an advertisement for the Bey-Ta arcade.

Multiple purples we never got. When we final get purple launchers, its a black launcher with purple grips and a lottery release. I feel betrayed, insulted, and I think there should be riots at TT headquarters

When did wind start being competitive

When i see a top 5 combo list from 2023, despite wind being released 2022. Wind and vanish were not in the list, but now when i see a best combo, its always some wind combo

Knight Mail combo recommendations?

I initially used it on defence/stamina set-ups like 3/5/6-60, B/FB/H/HN and so on.

However I find that these set-up’ do not help with the blade’s bad late-game stamina. (Correct me if I’m wrong) It seems like the metal balls within the blade screw with it when it begins to wobble.

I’m finding it better on attack builds since the recoil trade off balances out with it re-stabilizing from the metal balls after an heavy attack.

It’s starting to feel like an evened out Buster Dran with how big the hits are.

The parts for attack builds are usually 1/3/5/6-60 or 7-70 from the set.

I’m also thinking of mixing balance bits like Point or Kick since (similar to Golem Rock my goat) it tends to be able to preform both qualities like Defence/Attack.

similar to how we got 8 and 8´ in burst or 1 and 1´ do you think we get rachets with improved shapes or weight (i know there are simple rachets but we all know those are for clock miraje and ocationaly low combos with 4 or 7-55)

Discussion Bullet griffon bits vote

I want to ask for opinion on the best bit for bullet griffon against the current meta:

Wizard rod 1-60 Hexa/ free ball
Cobalt dragoon 9-60 Elevate
Meteor dragoon 0-60/7-60 level
Shark scale 3-60 Narrow/ 1-70 low rush/ 3-60 jolt
Hover wyvern 9-60 jolt

I heard that bound spike is doing great on it, but i dont have the bey right now, and couldnt test it against left spin beys, would like to know more opinions on this.

Ive heard about unite/ bound spike/ jolt being the best so far

Discussion Want to get into beyblade competitive, complete beginner to modern beyblade

Hi all, i have seen so much content recently online about competitive beyblading (idk the terminology) and it really interests me.

back in the early 2000s as a kid, I LOVED them, my favourite was flame sagittario from i think 2009, and i would watch the anime before school started.

I have absolutely no idea where to begin with getting into this hobby. idk what product to buy, which beys are good etc etc.

if you could give any advice at all, or send any good resources my way, i would really appreciate that.

News This Week In Beyblade 7/22/26

This Week In Beyblade, the dawn of San Diego Comic Con is upon us as we prepare for what news will be coming out of this weekend. However, we only got some short news for this week as we will have another TWIB covering all things San Diego Comic Con related. Let's dive into today's news.

  • More Hasbro Products
  • US and Canada GP Rules and Regulations Released

More Hasbro Products

Canada always getting stuff from the future as we got new upcoming 2-Packs and it's an amazing set of 2-Packs. Starting with the giant elephant in the room, Orochi is coming to Hasbro as a 2-Pack. Originally a CoroCoro Mail-In item, Orochi is now accessible in the Hasbro market for a fifth of what the prices were in the second-hand market. Accessible...if you can beat the scalpers to it. Orochi makes it the second bey that was CoroCoro mail-in exclusives now accessible through Hasbro-first one was the metal coat green Croc bey through the hard to find String Launcher and Grip set. The second bey that will be coming with Orochi is the red Weiss/Pearl Tiger, but the parts changed as Tiger will have 3-85 and Wall Ball.

The second 2-Pack goes to Tricera Press or Brace Triceratops. This one is the stock combo M-85 Bound Spike and the bey that will come with Tricera is a purple Dran Dagger on 7-55 Kick. This will include the Kick bit much like how the green Ghost came with Low Rush and Viking. Both will be priced at $17.99 USD MSRP, and will likely be released later this year.

In addition, there is a listing of a 6-Pack of Beyblades that contain the following:

Pearl/Weiss Tiger 3-60U

Gill Shark 4-70O

Crest Leon 7-70GN

Sterling Wolf 3-80FB

Fort Hornet R 7-70T

Wriggle Kraken S 3-85O

Price for this 6-Pack is $45 (subject to change), but no release date yet although it might be revealed at SDCC this year.

US and Canada GP Rules and Regulations Released

The last bit of news is the Rules and Regulations for the US and Canada side of the GP has been released. There are some interesting bits within the rules and regulations, but the main part is the entry limit is 500 and only 128 will be able to play. A bit to mention regarding CX beys and Lock Chips, they do mention that the Valkyrie and Emperor metal lock chips being only limited to 1, but mentioning the Valkyrie lock chip could show signs of Valkyrie Volt maybe potentially be the first Rare Bey Get to be distributed as a Hasbro product, but it's very unlikely considering that we never got the blue coat cobalt drake and the teal coat Aero Pegasus-though we are getting the silver Cobalt Drake which is a win. Will link down the Regulations down below.

US and Canada GP Rules and Regulations

And that is all for the TWIB for now. Short news, but San Diego Comic Con is fast approaching so we will be seeing some new product reveals that haven't been officially revealed or out in the wild in certain countries as well as possibly some pre-orders go live soon outside of Entertainment Earth having the listings be available.
