Anyone else get this generic (and possibly worrying) letter?

Reposting to r/Belfast as I am not sure if this is a letter sent only to Belfast folk:

At first I thought it was a good thing, until I watched the promo video attached to this letter. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but the purpose is to create a database that researchers can apply to get access to this data. The panel who reviews these applications “will only approve health related studies that are for the public good and that come from legitimate organisations”.

I’m reminded that the NHS has done deals with Palantir and Anthropic, so it just seems that the NHS is trying to collect as much health data and sell it to the highest bidder

Any members of Castlereagh Hills golf club?

Hi
I joined the club a couple of weeks back. I don’t really know anyone there, is there anyone here who would be interested in going out to play a few rounds. I’m looking to put in a few general play rounds to get my handicap down. Im 23, I’ve been playing for around 3 years and am currently a 26 handicap consistently shooting in the low 90s
Cheers

Turas Irish Language Classes

I've signed up to do the beginners Irish class with Turas from September - having to do it online because I was slow off the mark and the in-person classes sold out.

Anyone have any experiences of it they might share?

I never had the opportunity to learn Irish when I was at school, and while I did an intro course as an extra curricular at uni, that was well over a decade ago and almost all of it is gone.

Getting into DIY looking for wood

Does anyone know any good places to get decent wood for a reasonable price to do DIY projects and to get into wood carving? I'm also curious if there is anywhere to get reclaimed wood.

Discarding recyclable cardboard boxes

I have about 3 or 4 car loads of ikea cardboard boxes left behind. This was from wardrobes and bed and sofas I got done for all of the house. What's best way to dispose them. I live off Dundonald and I am forced to use Carryduff recycling center based on my postal code which is quite a bit of driving back and forth.

Any better options?
