Two items that may be of interest:

Usability used to be about making computer systems and platforms easier to get things done. Now, UX approaches are focused less on helping users and more on adding friction to enhance the bottom line. At TechnoMythos substack:

The era of the '30-minute guarantee' is dead, replaced by an era of the constant monitor. Question Freelance

Hi all!
Sorry if this isn’t quite the right space to ask — please point me elsewhere if so.

I just graduated from UChicago’s MACSS (Computational Social Science) program and I’m figuring out how to start freelance/independent consulting at the intersection of behavioral science and AI. Would love any advice from people who’ve done this — how did you land your first clients, how did you price/scope early projects, and were there any resources or communities that helped you get going? Happy to share more about my background if useful. Thanks in advance!
