Had a crazy flash flood yesterday at my building and they had to shut off the power so we are camping at my mom’s house. I live on the 8th floor and I refused to take a second trip so I packed up his lights and tent and we rigged them up on mop handles. He can’t figure out why he’s gone from having a whole apartment to living in a cardboard box 😂 I promised him we will be home soon 💚

so my gf went out of town and im babysitting her beardie for a few days, is it normal for him to do this? like have his mouth open?

I have a bearded dragon that’s around 8 months old, he’s a healthy size and is pretty active in his enclosure, but he HATES being held or picked up, when I pick him up, I don’t pick him up from the top like a bird, I go for the side so he can watch my hand, and hopefully not freak. and if I hold him for a few seconds he instantly starts wriggling and scratching and biting. He doesn’t puff up at me, nor does he black beard me. A while back when he was younger, he was way calmer, he allowed me to hold him and pet him, and I’d let him walk around a bit freely outside the enclosure, but recently started to change and started doing this.

I wrote this late at night with a migraine so expect some misspells and grammatical errors.

This is my new buddy Jesse, he’s a little goofball I love him. Everything seems to be going well he’s gaining wait he seems to like his enclosure. He bites me sometimes but it doesn’t really hurt. Can you guys tell the gender yet? Let me know please and any other tips to taking care of these little dudes 🤙

We went away for the weekend and upon return this appeared on the side of his face around his ear. Any ideas what it could be and how to treat?

This is Stella, a 4yo I adopted last October.

Over the last 2-3 months I got her to eat some greens by rolling leaves up to make her believe they were worms. But other than that, she wouldn't take to them herself, even with worms underneath them in dish, nor bee pollen nor bright colored veggies.

Now, to my surprise, today she went right ahead and ate the greens I offered her!

Thank you to the community who helped give me ideas to promote her eating of greens.

A few days ago, I posted about a rescue Beardy I received. A lot of comments pointed out the use of reptile carpet, and I took those comments to heart. Nacho, that’s what I decided to name him, has nice padded bedding now made out of a heat resistant liner. I also ordered some tiles to place on the basking side for him to lay on and scratch. He’s healthy, and loves basking on his wooden arch. He’s also very friendly and loves snuggles and head pets. Not a huge fan of baths though.

Finally Added some greenery after I quarantined the plant for 4 weeks. It’s a Ponytail Palm. She seems to really enjoy it and has been investigating it. Really livens up the enclosure.

Here’s a link for safe ones for anyone saying they’re interested - as pesticide toxicity can be very harmful if you don’t know the exact care regiment of the plant prior. I’ve learned some pesticides can even carry over through seeds And safe is better than sorry.

i measured and it should fit but im pretty sure it has to be 2 ft or the doors wont close. im worried that if its a screen top itll fall off the top and burn the carpet and start a fire. i dont know what else to say feel free to ask questions. also the clothes and stuff will be out

Been feeding mainly lettuce, and a mealworm every 2-3 days for the past 3 months, doesn't seem to be losing weight that fast 😭 and her poop is quite watery now.

Brought her to the vet already and xray her in case something stuck in her stomach, but they said they saw nothing.

Is she just a chunky girl?

Hey all! I adopted this little lady off of Petfinder just over a week ago. I fed her some cucumbers and gave her a bath on her first day, and just gave her another bath today. She still looks pretty wrinkled, and her belly looks big. Am I overfeeding her? She eats really well, she loves her bugs and her greens. I did get her to drink some water during her bath today.
