I haven't played baseball in many years. However, I did grow up playing travel baseball all the way up until highschool.
Fast forward - my daughter started playing t-ball this year and it has reinvigorated my love for the game. I decided it was time to get a nice glove (the gloves I couldn't afford as a kid lol). I've now since joined a local Sandlot league (fast pitch, wood bats, etc) and I've been bitten by the bug.
I played the first week with my existing 14" Rawlings GG Elite softball glove and quickly realized it was way too big. Sold that to help fund my new additions.
I then went down the rabbit hole.
After picking up a few nice vintage HOH, and a Mizuno Pro Limited - I decided to give a Easton Professional a try. Holy moly was/am I impressed. I love how these fly completely under the radar and rival all the elite gloves from other manufacturers.
I now own (4) Easton Professional models and they are all excellent!
EPG89BT (2013 - Okayama Japanese steerhide)
F73 (2019 - premium reserve USA steerhide)
PCK-L73 (2021 - Japanese reserve kip)
PCH-F73 (2020 - Hybrid - Horween/Japanese steerhide)
I have since sold off my Mizuno Pro Limited (made in Haga) in favor of the Easton's I have. I like them that much.
I still have my two vintage Rawlings HOH. Both are classics and I just can't seem to part ways with. PRO C-FC (1995 - Horween) and PRO-T-FB (1994 - Horween).
Anyone else a fan of the Easton Pro line? I feel these don't get the love they deserve - especially for the price point they sell for, and the materials used. They are truly top tier elite gloves.

My 7-year-old and I got some great diving catch practice in at the beach today. Hope everyone’s summer is filled with good times.

I just got a marketing email for the new Jax colorways and they look pretty cool.
I've been wanting to try out their 1B, but haven't ran into anyone who owns one yet and I'm already set with my DCT.
Disclaimer: I'm not a Jax rep or anything. I just thought these gloves look good and wanted to share. I do like my Jax glove that I own though 😉

Been wanting to get back into playing ball after about a 20 year hiatus and splurged on this for myself to have a reason to get out and play. As I haven't really been in the know about equipment for some time now, I would appreciate anyone's opinion, feedback or just thoughts in general. I love the fact that they are (AFAIK) the only American made glove remaining in the industry and from what I've read, a quality made glove that when taken care of, will last generations. I also love the 'heritage' vibe of the color way and styling that is IMO, timeless. Thanks for looking!

Anyone familiar with Red Rock baseball gloves? I don't need a firstbase glove but this one is for sale locally pretty cheap. Use will be as a dad glove.

Finally picked up another Heart of the Hide. I used a HOH Trapeze when I played hardball and always preferred the feel, so I decided to add this PRO3039-6TR to the bag. Can’t wait to get it broken in. Anyone else have one of these?

Summary is that my fielding isn’t the best and the best bet is to play 1B. There’s so many in the market and I don’t have much money to invest in a mitt so I need your suggestions. My budget is about $150 and my size is a 12.5.
(p.s: I am a wilson loyalist and I found a Wilson A1000 1620 12.5” and I am interesting in this, how well is it?)

ATOMS out of Nara, Japan — 29.3 cm Post web infielder in Red Orange. Full red shell, silver welting down the fingers, black lace throughout, and that gold and cream embroidered A patch on the thumb that ATOMS does better than anyone. The palm liner matches. Nothing is an afterthought on these.
Hokkaido Wagyu leather from Tereda Tannery. If you haven't held a Japanese infield glove, the feel is different - shallower stalls, sits higher on the hand, more finger control at the point of exchange. This one is ready to work.

Saw this for the first time on another reddit sub. Are they legit? Anyone have experience? If people want "drip" these look way wilder than I've seen from anyone else. At $50 over "drip" HOH, seems like better option. Thoughts?

Hey guys! I posted a glove I customized a week ago and got some really awesome support on here. It’s cool to talk to some people that have the same appreciation for the craftsmanship and style of baseball gloves. Really an item you bond with over the span of many years. Anyways, I customized this Rawlings Heart of the Hide. I was inspired by this prayer plant. The original photos are included too. She’s looking for a home too by the way.
Check out my Instagram for my glove customizations! I’d appreciate a follow :)

Does anyone know when the wildcards are available? Is it something that happens once a year with no notice, or is it more timely?

I was recently at my local Dicks Sporting Goods and I saw that they had the Philly themed Rawlings Heart of the Hide All Star Game glove but they also had a Philly Phanatic themed glove. Was looking to buy one as a “collectors” piece because not only am I from the Philly area, but I was lucky enough to go to the All Star game with my son. Which one would be better to get as far as being “worth more” one day if my son didn’t want it and was looking to resell?
I’m new the the “nicer” gloves world so just looking for input.

Just traded for this Primo 12.75” six-finger trap. It’s in excellent used condition with a perfect break-in. Thanks to u/Conscious_Band_3268 for the smooth deal.

This was my mom’s glove used mainly for softball in the 80s & early 90s. Still in decent shape—been using it playing catch with my sons in the backyard. Leather is a bit loosey goosey (had a few caught balls pop out on me) due to age, wear and the way it was stored. Pocket is also for softball, but trying to retrain gently it for baseball.
Unfortunately my Dad is left handed, so I couldn’t inherit his old glove, lol…
Still going to use my new HoH Father’s Day edition obviously but it’s nice having a backup glove like this!
