Cody Fry Ticket

I bought a ticket for Cody Fry’s ( Famous: I hear a symphony song) Performance at the BSO, however it seems like the last train back to D.C. has been cancelled so I unfortunately won’t be able to make it anymore.

I got it for 45 and I’m looking to give it away for 30 if anyone is interested!

Cheap hall rental Woodlawn

I’m looking for options for a cheap hall rentals in Woodlawn (Catonsville/ Arbutus also would work). I’m hosting a small birthday party for my 4 year old in early September and the hall we had booked is no longer an option.

I’d prefer to avoid renting a church hall so as to not risk alienating any of my kid’s classmates and avoid park pavilions so we don't need to deal with the heat/ weather.

Our budget is limited and we’re hoping to spend less than $125 on venue costs if possible but at this rate, I’m willing to take any suggestions!

Looking for a trustworthy nanny agency in the Baltimore area

Hey everyone! I’m looking for part-time to full-time nanny work in the Canton/Towson area (open to anywhere within about 30-40 miles) and want to go through something legit (not Facebook Marketplace or random listings).

Any agencies or platforms you’d recommend — or ones to avoid? Thanks!

Anyone in Baltimore have an old vehicle they’re trying to get rid of?

I’m interested in taking on unwanted cars that are sitting around, broken down, missing parts, or becoming a headache for the owner. If you have a vehicle that you don’t know what to do with, feel free to reach out.
I’m not looking to buy cars or run a dealership — just trying to help people clear out vehicles they no longer need and see if anything can be repaired, reused, or recycled instead of sitting abandoned.
Feel free to comment or message me with details.

Stavros Ticket Swap

Hey Everyone!

My wife got me four tickets for the Stavros show at the Lyric. Unfortunately, the dates were rescheduled and our new tickets are for Saturday the 18th, which we're not in town for. Would anyone have any Sunday tickets who would want to swap? I'd also be willing to swap two for two and sell you the remaining two tickets!

Looking for a Full-Service Consignment Seller or Estate Sale Company

I'm moving soon and am looking for a reputable company or individual who can pick up my items and handle the entire selling process.

I have a mix of fairly valuable items, including:

-Furniture

-Household items

-Collectible coins

-Clothing (not designer, but in good condition)

-Various other items

I'm looking for a true full-service option—someone who can evaluate the items, transport them, sell them, and take a commission, rather than me having to list everything individually.

If you've had a great experience with someone in the Baltimore area, I'd love your recommendations.

Thanks!

Where to sell women's clothing?

Hi all, I have A LOT of women's clothing of various sizes and styles that I've been holding on to for way too long.

I don't want to pay a booth fee, I don't want to do consignment, I don't want to donate and I don't want to post on apps (haven't had any success).

What are my options if any around Baltimore?

Thanks!

July & August Baltimore Books & Brews Book Club Events

Didn't finish the book? Only watched the movie? Hated it? Just want to listen to other people talk about a book? Everyone is welcome to join!

July RSVP Link July Genre: Local July Book: Confessions of the Sullivan Sisters by Natalie Standiford Location: Nepenthe Brewing Co.

The Sullivan sisters have a big problem. On Christmas Day their rich and imperious grandmother gathers the family and announces that she will soon die . . .and has cut the entire family out of her will. Since she is the source of almost all their income, this means they will soon be penniless.
Someone in the family has offended her deeply. If that person comes forward with a confession of her (or his) crime, submitted in writing to her lawyer by New Year's Day, she will reinstate the family in her will. Or at least consider it.

August RSVP Link August Genre: Autobiography/Biography/Memoir August Book: Here for it by R. Eric Thomas Location: Peabody Heights Brewery

R. Eric Thomas didn't know he was different until the world told him so. Everywhere he went--whether it was his rich, mostly white, suburban high school, his conservative black church, or his Ivy League college in a big city--he found himself on the outside looking in.
In essays by turns hysterical and heartfelt, Thomas reexamines what it means to be an "other" through the lens of his own life experience. He explores the two worlds of his childhood: the barren urban landscape where his parents' house was an anomalous bright spot, and the Eden-like school they sent him to in white suburbia.

Please Advise: Buying a Home in Baltimore city

Hello Baltimoreans,

I realize I might be asking an incredibly biased group, but I wanted to gauge everyone’s thoughts. My boyfriend and I have been debating purchasing a townhome in Baltimore City, with an estimated timeline of about 1.5 years from now. We’ve both been to Baltimore many times and understand the city well - good, bad, and ugly. I personally love the city and all it has to offer, while my partner is less sold on it but still likes it overall. We feel it may be a good location to strike a balance of city lifestyle while not breaking the bank.

My extremely ill-researched take is that buying a row house in Baltimore may not be the most lucrative investment (in the short or long term), but it does seem like one of those rare cities where buying might actually be cheaper than renting (factoring in quality of residence too). For context, we currently reside in the DC metro area where cost of living is significantly higher.

So… what are everyone’s thoughts? Is it worth owning in Baltimore? Does anyone have personal experience with row home ownership? What are some of the challenges as well as the bright spots? Thanks!
