Hey everyone, I had went to about 2 years ago with my girlscout troop. (Sadly forgot about it.) BUT, I am now wanting to meet people. My social anxiety is really bad. I had questions then however I was too anxious to ask or talk to natives.
Anywho, I am now wanting and curious to learn more. My mom told me that there was a Native Elder or at least a Native man who taught us how Natives made furs, leather, woven baskets, bracelets, how they hunt in girlscouts. (I forgot all of this because I was too young to fully remember. I'm just glad my mom still remembers that much).
So where are the Native Americans? I'm not in the city. im in the county in Nottingham. I don't know where to search to find people. Yes i know there are communities but i cant find any online to at least chat with someone.
Please keep in mind, I'm being respectful about this. I AM NOT DEMANDING ANSWERS.

Hello neighbors.
This may be a long shot but...
There is a displaced cat in urgent need of a loving owner.
Neighbors and / or management have mentioned owner had passed away, leaving kitty outside and unhoused.
She (we're 90% sure it's a she) is a very sweet, friendly kitty who loves to butt her head and rub on people who stop and give her attention.
She loves head scritches and will start to purr! We've heard her meow a few times - they were the cutest and softest meows!
It's odd - she will follow you while you are walking! And she seems to understand directions well from what we've seen ("down", "come here", etc)
We have watched her interact with local cats and kids have even pet her - she seems NOT to demonstrate any aggression.
She has been hanging outside a relative's apartment for a week now. Not sure of age.
If you can love and provide a furrever home for her, please DM me.
Or if you can share this so it gets to the right person - we would appreciate it.
We will have a little welcome basket with a few necessities to help start you out.
Thank you.

The second bus crash in Baltimore County in roughly two weeks. What is going on?
Multiple people were taken to area hospitals after a school bus carrying students from the Maryland School for the Blind crashed into a building in Parkville on Tuesday afternoon, prompting emergency crews to declare a mass casualty incident — the second this month involving a bus crash in Baltimore County.
On July 8, a Maryland Transit Administration bus left the road and smashed into a FedEx building on Reisterstown Road in Pikesville. A total of 36 people were injured in that incident, which remains under investigation.
Tuesday's crash happened shortly after 2:40 p.m. at the intersection of Harford Road and Lavender Avenue. Baltimore County Fire Bureau Chief Travis Francis said the bus was carrying three students and two adults.
"One of those students, as well as one of the adults, the driver of the bus, was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries at this time, as well as one additional adult from the scene that was transported with minor injuries," Francis said.
Officials said all reported injuries were minor.

Hey everyone, does anyone have any recommendations for any weightlifting/powerlifting gyms in the area that are queer friendly?
I looking to start a fitness journey and I'm honestly just looking for a place where I can do what I need to do without having to code switch, lol. Bonus points for if those gyms have hip thrust machines and or pit sharks.
I was considering Anarchy Gym in Owings Mills because it's super close by and I like their pricing structure, but it looks kinda....influencer-y and I don't know if my fat ass has the patience to tolerate that vibe long term, lol.

Has anyone has experience with a private mediator in advance of a divorce? I am considering starting with a mediator before stepping up to get a lawyer. Any personal experiences or referrals appreciated.

Ever since moving to Baltimore County, I have had a hard time finding a great gluten free & even a dairy free local bakery. I ordered a couple chocolate cakes and cookies from this place and wanted to share her info. She went above and beyond to accommodate my friend’s dairy allergy and everything was delicious!

I'm considering applying, and am coming from a fine(ish) and elevated dining background.
I also have a solid wine/bartending background.
I'm currently at Antrim 1844 and it's great, but the hours are too short so I'm not making good money.
If anyone has any experience with Linwoods, please let me know!

I’m looking for options for a cheap hall rentals in Woodlawn (Catonsville/ Arbutus also would work). I’m hosting a small birthday party for my 4 year old in early September and the hall we had booked is no longer an option.
I’d prefer to avoid renting a church hall so as to not risk alienating any of my kid’s classmates and avoid park pavilions so we don't need to deal with the heat/ weather.
Our budget is limited and we’re hoping to spend less than $125 on venue costs if possible but at this rate, I’m willing to take any suggestions!

When I was a wee lad (early 2000s) we went to a couple birthday parties at a place called Safari Time. It was an animal-themed birthday venue in Timonium that had a number of captive animals kids could view/interact with. I definitely remember a boa constrictor but there might have been a primate or two as well. I havent been able to find much information online so I figured I'd ask here

Driving up to Goucher for a short dog walk this morning around 9:15, I see a huge line of people waiting to get into Towson Town Center, around back by the entrance to Round 1. I was very curious, never seen that before. I looked it up when I got home, and saw why -
https://www.round1usa.com/collab/onepiece
There were still people in line when I drove home after 10 (opening). Record crowds! Maybe this is the answer for TTC revitalization, which is either desperately needed or not needed at all, depending on which media you read.
On another note, stay inside if you can. Air was miserable on the walk.

I (27f) have a job offer in Towson. My boyfriend (29m) and I currently live in Cleveland. We are obviously a little nervous about him finding a job in a timely fashion when moving from out of state, especially considering the current state of affairs. He is currently a foreman at a steel mill, but has experience in landscaping, project management, political organizing, and could really do most things. Any advice?
ETA: my salary would likely be enough for the both of us ($125k) but obviously he also needs a job. I also thought about substitute teaching for him?

My kids (son/daughter) are in a specialized school for dyslexia and ADHD, and the plan is to go mainstream when they get to high school. They have grown so much and are ready for mainstream, but I want to make sure they still have support. What are your experiences with learning support in independent schools in the area?

Hey everyone, I recently applied for several teaching positions but haven't heard back yet. With the school year set to begin on August 31st, I’m wondering if they’re still hiring. I tried reaching out to HR, but unfortunately, I’ve been left without a response. Additionally, I currently work as a substitute teacher and was curious about when substitutes are typically needed. Given that I've only been in this field since February, I’m not entirely familiar with the initial hiring rhythms as the school year kicks off. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
