Recipe to be posted soon. No guarantees. I made watermelon flavoured cupcakes - first, post severe depression, bake in over a year

I used to bake all the time, but a severe depressive episode that lasted over a year took away my ability to. My partners parents were in town and this was my only chance to bake for them, so I took it.

I did it without panicking, without freaking out, or having a breakdown. I wasn't 100% happy with them, but didn't let that stop me. Im incredibly proud of myself and have baked 2 more times since then. I'm wanting to make a black forest cheesecake or cupcakes for my gma's bday in a couple weeks. Wish me luck 🤞

They have a wonderful Watermelon flavour and were perfect for a summer treat 🍉

Made this chocolate cake with oreo filling for my friends bday ! The icing is whipped white chocolate ganache and the 3d Pompomurin was actually by accident 😅 I wanted to color my white chocolate with yellow food coloring but only had the liquid one, when mixed, it turned my white chocolate into a clay texture, which I thought I could use to my benefit haha

Recipe Included For my birthday, I made myself a lemon Basque cake 🍰

I unlocked Basque cake making, and it was a success on my first try! It's incredibly delicious and so beginner-friendly! 🥧🥧

Here is the recipe:
Basque Layer: 250g cream cheese, 150g heavy cream, 55g granulated sugar, 10g lime juice, 8g cake flour, 2 whole eggs, 1 egg yolk

Mousse Layer: 100g cream cheese, 5g gelatin, 30g milk, 20g sugar, 100g heavy cream, 10g lemon juice, a little lemon zest (to taste)

Basque Layer: Soften the cream cheese and mix with granulated sugar in one direction until smooth. Gradually add the eggs, egg yolk, heavy cream, and lime juice, mixing well after each addition. Once smooth, strain the mixture, pour it into the mold (smooth the top and tap to release air bubbles), and place in the air fryer. Bake at 180°C for 20 minutes, then cover with aluminum foil and bake for another 10 minutes at 180°C (air fryer power varies, so adjust the time based on the cake's appearance—keep an eye on the surface)

Mousse Layer: Soak 5g of gelatin sheets in cold water for 10 minutes to soften; then add to 30g of milk and heat over a double boiler (or in a bowl over hot water), stirring until fully dissolved and blended

Preparing the Cheese Mixture: Add 30g of fine sugar to the cream cheese and mix with a spatula until smooth; add the lemon juice and mix thoroughly; finally, add 100g of heavy cream and mix until silky and smooth. Incorporate the milk-gelatin mixture and lemon zest into the cheese mixture, stirring until silky and smooth. Pour the mixture over the completely cooled Basque cheesecake, refrigerate overnight, and then garnish the surface with some grated lemon zest and lemon slices before serving

Baking Advice Needed Need advice on these “Dino footprint” cookies

Post image

Making these cookies for a dinosaur themed kids event.

I initially wanted to fill in the footprints with green icing but after doing a couple they stopped reading as footprints to me. I don’t mind leaving them without the icing but I feel like they just need something more…

What do you guys think? Cookies are purple from the ube extract I added.

Thanks!

Baking Advice Needed First time decorating a cake! Need advice

The batter ended up a bit too dense, the filling was too thick, and the chantilly (i made it on a blender, i don't have a mixer) was just slightly sour and I don't know what caused it. It tasted great thought.

Recipe for the batter: *250 ml cup used

3 large eggs or 4 small ones

1 pinch of salt

1 ½ cups sugar

50 ml oil

½ cup hot water

1 ½ cups wheat flour

1 (very full) teaspoon of baking powder

Filling: 2 cartons of table cream (200 ml each), 1 can of condensed milk (395 g), and 3 level tablespoons of cornstarch. Fresh strawberries.

Topping: plain chantilly

I didn't use any baking accessories because I don't have any; I only have a plate and a silicone spatula, but I plan on buying some soon

If you want the original recipe just click the link inside the recipe at the top. I made my own changes to this recipe to guarantee they would be chewy without being too fudgy (I don’t like “raw brownies”) and also still have a little bounce to them. Most reviewers insisted they were still chewy without my changes but I felt like experimenting anyway. Make them how you want. They’re the best brownies I’ve ever made.

Flour – 10 tbsp
Sugar, salt to taste
Vegetable oil

Cream:
Cream cheese – 500 g

It’s convenient because there’s no baking involved just fry the crepes and spread them with the cream. You can use any berries or fruits.

Baking Advice Needed First time baking cheesecake

I followed this recipe:

https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/classic-cheesecake/#tasty-recipes-66517

I made sure I had everything ready, all my ingredients were room temp, did the water bath, it jiggled after the hour was up & I cracked open the oven, it browned on top slightly & I hate it. It's now cooling in the fridge after I let it set outside the over for over an hour.

It doesn't look right, it doesn't feel right & I'm frustrated. I did everything I was supposed to do & it's just a mess. It doesn't smell like cheesecake either, it smells like the vanilla extract and I put less then what was instructed because I made a custard last time & it also sucked.

I don't know what else I could have done.
