I'm looking for some good litrpg/fantasy audio book suggestions. I am not interested in romance. I'm looking for epic quests, magic, monsters, and adventure. I am not interested in AI narration. I am not a big fan of Sci Fi and prefer fantasy. I like some humor in things. I am not only open to LitRPG. I'm happy to take regular fantasy suggestions, but not if romance is a big part of the story.

I am new to listening to audio books but I really want a good Horror one for work preferably with monsters but if it’s just so good you recommend it even if it’s real life horror like a serial killer or something that would work too! I have 1 credit tell next month so when you put the suggestion please explain why so I don’t waste it on something I won’t like

I have a problem with my AirPod Pro threes also. When I’m listening to an audiobook, everything’s fine but every half hour or every 20 minutes it gets this weird glitching noise where it’s very garbled for about five seconds and then it goes back to normal so I have to hit rewind to go back before the garbled part and then it’s OK so I don’t think it’s the audiobook. I think it’s the AirPods three Pro. I don’t know how to fix the issue and it’s extremely annoying because I’m usually listening to the audiobook when I’m trying to go to sleep and I don’t want to have to hit rewind to not miss whatever was said. Any suggestions?

I’m seeing more and more books with the narrator listed as “AI voice”. This makes me immediately click away. Is anyone actually listening these books?

I’m way too lazy to do this myself, but does anyone make a list of the sale titles each time they offer this? Someone in the PlayStation Plus sub does this each month for available games on their subscription service. The Audible user interface is tedious and seems so random. Thanks in advance for possibly sharing if this is you!

It’s not every time but at least once a day. It’s recent… Has anyone gotten this?

I did check through Amazon and my subscription to audible to see who it was under just to make sure but it used to say Sammy. And I don't know when it changed and it still says Sammy in my subscription settings in Amazon for Audible. So what's going on? And swear I've been a member longer but I could be wrong. Is this a weird bug?

Edit: I decided to log in on the website and instead of the app and on the website it has my proper name. It's only on the app that it's doing this I did sign in and sign out on the app as well to try and fix it but it didn't work.

We are heading down to key west later this week and would like to get some recommendations for something we both could enjoy. Great narration and a fast moving but easily followed plot are priorities.

Something in the adventure category would be ideal, preferably with pirate treasure to keep with the theme of the trip; however my son is also big in aviation so anything in that category would also work. That being said I’m open to any suggestions if you have a favorite that’s in a different category.

I’m guessing the entire trip will be around 12ish hours in the car and we will probably listen at about 1.5 speed so probably want to keep total run time under 15 hours but at least 8 hours minimum.

I loved reading the Act of Caine series 20 years ago. I listened to the first book and loved it. I'm not squeamish by any means, but the amount of cannibalism and rape in this second book are jarring. I'm at a point where I just don't wanna hear this shit anymore.

I haven't encountered Virtual Voice on Audible.de yet, but I noticed books with strange narration that turned out to be AI voices with "real names".

There is a whole flood of these "narrators", each with a website that looks identical to the others, each offering the full narration of your book in 24 hours.

I read that you can filter out AI voice on Audible through search but is there any way to do the same with these fake narrators? Because they'll be listed as normal sounding names. Or will I just have to google names I'm unfamiliar with and see if a profile pops up?

I am getting so frustrated lately. I have a long commute, so I tear through audiobooks (a 12hr title can sometimes take me only like two or three days) The whole reason I got audible was for the vast included catalog that isn't time restricted (like Spotify 😤) But there seems to have been some sort of update and it makes finding anything on their included list possible. I love noir detective novels and cozy mysteries, and you used to be able to go to that section and filter by included, but now there's no option to. I've tried using the search bar and hitting the "included" button, but it will only look for exact matches, and most of the time, when I click on a specific title I have to pay a credit anyway! INFURIATING!! Does anyone know how to find ACTUALLY included titles? Is there a search function that's super hidden away? I would even take any recs for any titles that are 1930s detective or cozy mysteries that ARE included?

I'm trying to read the novel of manhwa on Hiatus, and I need the voices from it to be able to enjoy it. Can y'all recommend one for me

When listening to dolby atmos titles on my AirPods, I'm getting extra reverb. This seems to be a thing with apple's spacial audio in general, and when I turned on personalized audio, the reverb became less troublesome. But it's still distracting at times. Is there any way at all to get rid of the reverb? I listened to a preview of another book in dolby atmos and the spacial audio is already in it, which makes me question the point of dolby atmos in the equation at all. I'm using iOS.

It's been months. I guess they're never going to fix it.

It happens off and on, maybe 1 or 2 percent of the time. My sleep timer is set to 30 minutes. Tonight I listened for 90 minutes, so restarted it twice after the timer was up. The third time the timer expired, I picked up the phone to renew it; the display woke up, but the "time's up" dialing was not visible, and the display seemed frozen. As usual, I worked around it by putting my finger on the left side of the display, halfway down, and swiping right. (And as usual, I select the sleep timer twice to avoid the other bug where playing resumes but the sleep timer doesn't, but that's another story.)

I suspect the bug is related to trying to show the "time's up" dialog while the phone has the display off due to inactivity.

Audible.com support won't talk to me because I'm using books downloaded in the audible app, for real US dollars, from audible.de. Or something. It happens with english books from audible.com, too, but somehow my bug report is somebody else's problem anyway.

Coincidentally, as I was writing this, I heard a growling outside my open window; a raccoon was looking in through the screen. He growled again, then ran away. Evidently he shares my annoyance with Audible's app. (Or maybe he's reminding me it's time to feed the stray cats so he can steal their food. Naaah, he's pissed at Audible.)

I just joined audible and I am a little disappointed to learn that only some book are included with membership. I know I'm going to blast through my 1 credit a month, so does anyone have any recommendations for included books?

I love sci-fi and fantasy but a lot of the books in that category on the included list looked like "cozy" or romantasy books, which are not my cup of tea. Some of my favorite books are Red Rising, Dungeon Crawler Carl, Narnia, Game of Thrones, etc.

Let me know what I should listen to when my credit is used up!
