find the rising sign first. everything starts here. birth time has to be accurate… even small shifts change the whole chart

then identify its ruler using traditional rulers first

So, like I said, the closest thing you can get to predictive astrology is a Solar Return chart.

I know people use natal charts and transits to predict the right time to move, grow a business, or find a lover, but at the end of the day, those predictions still fall under your beliefs.

A Solar Return is different because it reveals the energies and themes surrounding your entire year. It won’t show you exactly what will happen word for word, but it can show you what you’ll embody and experience.

Your natal chart is for your lifetime. Your Solar Return is for the year.

The first thing to look at is your rising sign because it gives you the overall theme. To understand how it connects to your life, find where that sign and degree fall in your natal chart.

Personally, I’m a Leo rising at 8 degrees in my Solar Return, and I’m also a Leo rising at 4 degrees natally. That places my Solar Return rising sign in my natal first house, making this year all about me, creativity, visibility, and becoming more of myself.

I’ve also noticed that when your Solar Return rising sign matches your natal rising sign, it tends to be a year when you become more fully yourself.

You’ll also want to look at the North Node.

Collectively, everyone shares the same North Node sign, but the house placement is personal.

My Solar Return North Node is in Pisces in the 8th house. This has absolutely been a year of self-compassion, surrender, death, trauma, therapy, shared resources, and understanding my own power.

My stepfather died six days after my birthday. I had known him my entire life, but he was also connected to a lot of my trauma, so it felt like much of that baggage died with him.

I also started therapy, which has made me significantly stronger emotionally. I’ve been traveling and staying in Airbnbs, which reflects the 8th-house theme of sharing and merging resources with other people.

My biggest obstacle this year has been control, even when I disguised it as responsibility. Pisces and 8th-house energy have been teaching me how to surrender.

Because I understand the themes of my Solar Return, I don’t sit around asking, “Why is this happening to me?” I can see how each experience is developing me.

My Solar Return Mars is also in Aquarius in the 7th house. I’ve noticed how angry I become when I experience injustice or unfair treatment, especially when people try to gaslight me into accepting it.

At the same time, independence, individuality, harmony, and peace motivate me. I take action more easily when I’m detached and at peace with where I am.

There’s also a major emphasis on communication, writing, and sharing ideas this year.

My Moon is in Sagittarius in the 5th house, which reflects creatively sharing my feelings, intimate thoughts, and life experiences. I created a Substack publication named after myself, where I write about my experiences with family, abuse, healing, and astrology.

I’ve gained more than 200 subscribers, and honestly, that feels completely different from having followers.

I also have Mercury conjunct Venus in Pisces in the 8th house. To me, that says the more I communicate and express my perspective through spirituality, healing, trauma, psychology, and transformation, the more valuable my work becomes and the more money I receive.

The more I’ve written about astrology and my personal wisdom from that perspective, the more easily my posts have taken off and attracted paid subscribers.

Definitely look into your Solar Return. Understanding the themes of your year removes a lot of guesswork and helps you understand what you’re actually working with.

ive recently in the last few months, gotten pretty deep into astrology after experiencing a great betrayal from my ex-boyfriend of four years and one of my best friends who was a friend to both of us during our relationship. I broke up with him and after three weeks, he slept with my friend, and the both of them tried to twist the story for almost 2 months, making me believe that nothing intimate had happened and that they only liked each other. Another thing to mention is that she was a problem during our relationship or at least I had a problem because I wasn’t comfortable with how she depicted their relationship to me. he was aware of this during and always reassured me that there was nothing there and tried his best to pull back, even though my intuition was telling me otherwise I truly believed that I was paranoid during the relationship because I did not think two people I loved so much and thought so highly of could ever betray me like that. there’s a lot more about betrayal, I could go into but long story short the betrayal affected me so hard. I turned to astrology in hopes to find an answer as to why this happened and why my luck in love is so bad. Some more context is that my first ever boyfriend, the one right before my most recent ex, also cheated on me. he ended up getting with the girl he cheated on me a few months after we broke up too. It feels like an open wound I have (chiron) and I just want to know what do I have to do to heal from it and how much longer until things start looking up for me?

Hi everyone.

I’m 23 and over the past few years I’ve accomplished almost everything I thought I wanted.

I graduated from university with a First Class degree, landed a software engineering job in central London and am planning to move there soon. From an objective pov, I should feel a sense of fulfilment. Instead over the past few months I’ve begun feeling strangely disconnected from the path I’m on.

I’m excited to grow and upskill in this field over time. At the same time I’ve always had this feeling that it’s temporary, that it’s only a matter of time before I find myself in a completely different setting.

The moments where I feel most alive are when I’m helping people. I’m deeply spiritual and have always been fascinated by psychology, psychiatry, philosophy, the occult and esoteric which has helped me develop a profound sense of discernment. I believe I’ve genuinely helped many of my friends, some decades older than me, with relationships, identity, purpose and difficult periods in their lives. Seeing even one person’s energy shift after a conversation gives me an incredible sense of fulfilment and hope for the world.

Because of that, I keep feeling drawn toward more creative and human-centred work like creative writing, songwriting, poetry etc.

You could say it’s just energy balancing itself out. By helping others solve their problems I may be avoiding dealing with my own.

There’s also something that isn’t quite right with how deeply Im afraid of feeling my emotions. I seem to avoid experiences that might stir something deep within me. Over time, it’s become an unconscious effort to limit things like films, music, intimate conversations and even self-reflection because they can make me feel too much.

The irony is that I think the answers I’m looking for probably exist within those feelings. I suspect that if I allowed myself to fully experience the parts of myself I’ve been avoiding I’d gain much more clarity about who I am and what I’m actually meant to do. But right now I feel like I’m searching from the outside because I struggle to access those answers from within.

From an astrological pov, do my natal chart or current transits suggest a major shift in purpose, career, or identity? Do they reflect this tension between the life I’ve built and the one I feel drawn toward? Or perhaps this growing sense of heaviness is pointing toward a spiritual breakthrough or an important period of transformation?
