Question Parc Asterix
Hey
I’m looking for this Idéfix tea set bowl from Parc Astérix. I bought it about a month ago for my girlfriend, and unfortunately it broke and she is very sad about it . If anyone is visiting Parc Astérix soon and sees it in a gift shop, I’d happily pay for the item, shipping to Belgium, and a little extra for your help.

Discussion What’s the narrative reason for including this scene?
I was re-reading Asterix and Cleopatra and this part kind of puzzles me.
I understand Getafix (probably) doesn’t give Obelix the true magic potion, but instead a different potion that will temporarily increase his speed.
I just don’t understand why. Obelix is more than strong enough to knock down that stone door with a few punches. Why does he need to run at it like he’s Sonic the Hedgehog?

Question I need help with finding songs
Hi, do you have any recommendations for songs that have the vibe of Asterix & Obelix shenanigans but aren't strictly from the soundtracks? (It would also be great if I could find them on Spotify.) Anything even loosely related is great. I just need something to listen to. <3

Movies Two actors had many roles in the film "Asterix Conquers America"
Did you know that in the original English version of the film "Asterix Conquers America", Rupert Degas and Jim Carter voiced a large number of characters? They are the only ones who provided voices for so many different roles. How do you think they did?

Discussion Have the four roman camps their own identity.
That was something I asked myself as a kid when seeing them on the map at the start of every book. Maybe something like "That Camp uses more trickery, that one is the most loyal to Caesar, that one is the least loyal etc."

Discussion Everything after Goscinny/Uderzo…sucks
Having spent way too many man hours on the toilet re-reading my Asterix, I have come to one conclusion: After Goscinny passed away, the whole thing should have stopped.
This new fonts and the sharper detail is making this feel more Marvel/DC/Alix (ie serious).
The Picts one sucks. The one about the Chieftains Daughter isn’t good, and the Sky Falling On their head featuring ET should never be talked about again. And then there was this compendium of Asterix and Obelix’s adventures (under the guise of Obelix’s birthday) that felt like a massive cash-in.
