Since the Gauntlet update 2 days ago, something about it has been off.

First, the ghost car has disappeared, and it happened right after they changed the cars back to the old ones.

Second, no one is challenging anyone apparently. I've seen a couple of posts mentioning receiving no attacks. This is my sandbag lineup in Div 5, and I haven't been attacked since the update.

Third, despite this, everyone's rating is increasing at lightning speed. I've reached Master in Div 5 (never got there before, I usually finish in Elite). In this lobby, 152 people have reached Master, an abnormally high number.

It seems people can challenge each other and boost their rankings, but it's not actually causing any losses, and the challenges aren't showing up in the challenge log either (so sandbaggers can't rely on revenge attacks, for example).
