Gaming is finally fun for me again

I used to like the Arkham games as a kid. They were the only games i could play on my dad’s laptop. When i upgraded to a gaming pc at around 17 gaming wasn’t fun anymore. Yeah sure maybe the minecraft for a week then nothing. Then maybe playing warzone for a few days and nothing would last. I bought myself a ps5 a week ago and just 100%’d Spider-man 2 and wow was it fun.
I found myself not wanting to sleep and just keep playing. Any other recommendations for some good story games?

Would you play a fighting game where you throw real punches at your webcam?

No buttons, no controller. You stand in front of your camera, it learns your specific movements, then you fight someone 1v1 in your browser. First to get knocked out loses.

want to get my boyfriend a PC, don’t know where to start

like the title says, i want to surprise my boyfriend with a gaming pc, we’re moving in together soon, he has a newer Xbox as the moment but doesnt come from the best living situation and it’s infested with bugs, we’ve talked about it and he agreed to leave his xbox at his parents house to prevent us from having them but gaming is such an important thing for him and i feel awful having to strip that away.

however i’m not very tech savvy so i don’t really know where to start, i have a budget of $1500, what should i get him? he hasn’t mentioned wanting in anything crazy extravagant or fancy but just something nice to play his games on, whats a good gaming pc for fairly inexpensive?

links / stores to buy from also heavily encouraged, i truly don’t know where to start 😭

Open-ended What are the "red flags" for gaming. Like what should I avoid if I have addiction problems?

Like I tend to get addicted to games like Stardew Valley and Hero Shooters whenever I play them. (I have to cut myself off from them to stop)

What other red flags should I avoid if I have addictive tendencies in gaming

Whats the oldest good "timeless Game"?

By "timeless" i mean a Game thats Not dragged down by constraints of that era Like graphics or amount of content (so for example the First Zelda was brilliant for its time but you can clearly Tell its old due to padding your Playtime with difficulty rather than content)

Open-ended What game play mechanics do wish existed in “cozy” farming games?

Personally I would love a more in depth late game, for your character. Once you get married and have a kid that mostly it for the story. I wish there was more expansion after this point. Like if the marriage and family portion was a half way point rather than an end goal. I know that there are so games that go beyond that, but it’s not much. 🤷🏼‍♀️

what console should i buy

i have never owned a console before and i want to get one for Christmas/birthday.I wont get a switch since i dont see any pros because i dont care for nintendo games. The choice is between Xbox and playstation. Im looking for a reliable console that will last me a good chunk of time. I will mainly play Fortnite, valorant,Fifa and maybe god of war or games in that direction. My parents probably wont buy me 80€ games more than once a year.My friend said he has a digital PS5 and can give me his account so we can share games. But im scared that online games will never be cheap and i always have to ask my parents for full price (i can pay for it but i dont have a card). I mean i still have 5 months to deciede so i will be trying out my friends xbox and my other friends ps5.

Just need genuine advice or anything

I’ve been friends with my group for close to 12 years now but I’m starting to feel a not necessarily a falling out but definitely some separation from each other and a couple of them feel that they are burnt out from games which I can understand but the complete disassociation is kinda worrying me a bit I really care about theses people and we’ve met in person multiple times I just don’t want to lose our gaming friendship please let me know if I’m overthinking or I should maybe try to do something.

If you had to play one game for the rest of your life, not before 2010, what would it be?

And possibly why

Open-ended Who is the biggest slimeball in gaming?

Not necessarily the greatest villain but the biggest scumbag you have encountered in gaming. Patches from Dark souls for example. This asshole has kicked me into various pits, lied to me, assaulted me and led me to my death on multiple occasions. He also seems to be a transdimensional dickhead as he appears in every Souls story in some form even if it means being a literal spider-man. That said, I'm wondering who in gaming does it best.

If you could only keep one paid PC program and one PC game for the rest of your life, what would they be and why?

I'm curious to see what PC gamers consider the best purchases they've ever made.

If you could only keep:

• One paid PC program

• One PC game

for the rest of your life, what would they be, and why?

I'm looking for software and games that you genuinely think are worth every dollar.
