Marks out of ten please

First time posting here so I hope this tank is suitable.

The overgrown look is purposeful. Not only was that the look I wanted (wildflower garden) but paired with a betta sorority, they need a jungle style tank to mitigate aggression as best as possible.

DIY co2. First planted tank. Twinstar s series. Apt1 and 3. Thrive root capsules. Fluval stratum substrate.

A but of update on my tank

Hey, I did some research today and i always really enjoy the youtube videos on this stuff. Well i came across a big fish tank that i think i have a solid plan for. Tell me if im sorely mistaken on my choices 😂

Hey all, I have what I feel like is a beautiful tank...but the plants are all plastic. After researching, I want to move away from plastic and get live plants. I'd like to get it as close to what I have now as possible. It's a 10-gallon, housing a honey gourami, some black neons, and a clown pleco, and as a busy mom, I would like low maintenance plants if possible! And preferably something that can eventually transfer easily to a larger tank.

So...I come to you, those more experienced than I am...what plants would you recommend for my tank?

Started a 3 day blackout this morning to get rid of the algae. I removed the co2 components. What can I expect when I take off the cover this weekend?

30 cm cube. Was struggling with my pearl weed melting from the bottom and decided to not touch it for a month. Turns out that was all it needed. Finally quite happy with my scape.

I’ve recently started work on my first aquarium and after about five weeks, some of my plants have started to get translucent and very yellow. I’m wondering if it is because of my sand cap being too deep any suggestions to the problem?

Is it ok to bunch my rotalas. Currently all my plants havent came so im waiting on them before i give rotalas alot of space. Im doing a dutch style.

80 gallon (300 liter), 4 month old tank. What do you guys think?

Can't someone please advise what I'm doing wrong here. This tank is about 3 month old. I just added 2 snails a week ago. The plants keep dying off. Like the stem becomes soft and then just float and disentegrate. And the darkNess(black spot) . Some I can rub off but some I can't. The soil is fluval stratum. Any one can give their 2 cent. I just did another water change 70% a day ago.

About 1 months ago I tore down my old 15-gallon Dutch tank. I had started neglecting it a bit and felt like it was the right time to try something new.

This time I wanted to build a scape around hardscape rather than just plants. I always felt that rocks and wood give a tank a lot more character and make it look more unique.

The tank is running on DIY CO2, which I disperse using an internal filter, along with a SunSun HBL-303 HOB filter.

Originally, I had Bacopa on the far left and Monte Carlo as the carpet (mostly trying to save what was left from the previous tank). As the tank matured, I swapped the Bacopa for Ludwigia repens and replaced the Monte Carlo with dwarf hairgrass.

I’m honestly really happy with how it’s growing in. It’s still got a long way to go, but every week it looks a little better.

This is one month after I set it up, left it alone and didn't touch anything in the tank other than scrape the glass.

I started this tank with the intention of it being a Forrest style tank with good depth. However I've somehow ended up with this. I do like it however I am curious to see what suggestions people may have.

Tank will be displayed at work and is viewable from both the left glass and the front glass. The right glass will be mostly against a wall.

I did not have the best stump to work with. But this is what I managed to put together.

Suggestions? Advice?

I have a 2 month old planted tank, just snails rn with some neocaridina shrimp on the way. I have about 1/2 inch of potting soil plus a layer of gravel (caribsea something or other), but I’ve found my gravel layer is a bit shallow and messy looking, and the color of the stones are pretty but show detritus and poop easily. I’ve been thinking of switching to a darker, finer substrate layer for some more contrast and make it a bit deeper toward the back. I don’t wanna do too much to disturb the ecosystem or have to uproot all my plants, could I just gradually add in the new substrate and sift out some of the old when I do a water change until enough of it is replaced? Or should I just live with the gravel haha. It’s not causing any major problems, I’m just regretting my decision a bit.

First tank set up. Thought this rock in my yard looked cool. looking for plant recommendations for this unheated shrimp Tank

I just wanted to give everyone a current update on how the tank looks. I went to a nearby pond and got some plants as you can see. I added a central piece of wood for the contrast as well. If yall have any more suggestions pls do comment them. less

I just set up my first 80-gallon planted tank yesterday and followed the vendor’s recommendations, but I’m not really happy with how it turned out. I imagined it would look much more lush and natural, but right now it feels empty.

Tank details:
80 gallons
Clip-on LED light
Gravel substrate
Aquaspeed 6-in-1 fertilizer
No CO₂ (only venturi)
No hardscape (rocks or driftwood)

I’m not sure what plant species the vendor gave me.
I’d really appreciate some constructive feedback. What would you change first? Should I add hardscape, more plants, or rearrange the existing ones? I’m open to any suggestions since this is my first aquascape.

Hello want to see what plants you guys would think would be good for this tank. I do want taller plants in the back to cover the background with medium plants in the middle with some carpet at the front. Any ideas on our end? Any cool types of plants I should add? Any changes needed to the aquascape?

After 4.5 weeks of drystarting with only moss attached, my plants finally arrived.
Time to flood and pray nothing floats away 🙏🏻
