Why do some Applebee’s locations make you do togos before you can become a server?

I used to love the chocolate chip cookie from the ice cream cookie sunday but sadly they discounted it a few years back. Does anyone have any info on where they sourced the cookie from? Or maybe someone who worked there who saw the brand on the shipping box? Any info is greatly appreciated!

Us Applebee's servers are finally free from the All You Can Eat deal for the year. Already dreading next June though, hopefully I've moved on by then.

And dollaritas can suck it too. Summer promos suck asssssss

Have a $10 off 40 coupon but I can't eat $40 worth of food in one sitting so I'm wondering what I can order that I can reheat the next day. Don't want the already microwaved sides like mashed potatoes.

I just left Applebee's and ordered the AUCE riblet and shrimp....they sent the riblets first....took forever to come back. By that time my wife and son were done eating....and then when they finally brought the shrimp out, it was on a tiny saucer with the fries instead of the platter that the riblets came on...this is ALL corporate psychology. They expect you to not order too many while others are waiting on you. I long for the day that HONESTY reigns!

It’s been a week I applied to applebees and I got an email they will schedule in person interview. So how long will it take to hear back from them? Thinking about calling them and check on my status of my application?

Wanted to know a bit more about the experience and the expectations to meet

So, I have been trying to find a better job than the one I work at, and I just had an interview at Applebee's on Airport Thruway Columbus Ga. the manager, told me to come back for a second interview with the General Manager, Monday at 2:30. I just hope that means something good. Do y'all think it's good? Or should I still look for jobs and not rely on that one?

Some of the biggest issues I dealt with as a manager:
• Constant understaffing. It felt like we were always expected to do more with fewer people.
• Long hours and unrealistic expectations. Management was expected to solve every problem while still keeping labor, guest satisfaction, and sales under control.
• High turnover. Good employees would burn out or quit, which meant constantly hiring and training new people.
• Being blamed for problems outside your control. If someone called out, equipment broke, or sales spiked unexpectedly, it somehow became management’s responsibility to magically fix everything.
• Lack of support from upper management. There were times when it felt like concerns were ignored unless numbers were affected.
• Employee morale was low. When people are overworked and underappreciated, it shows. It affects both the staff and the guests.
The job wasn’t all bad. I met some incredible coworkers, learned conflict resolution, improved my leadership skills, and gained experience that will help me throughout my career.
But the stress simply wasn’t worth it anymore.

If you’re looking for restaurant experience, Applebee’s can teach you a lot. Just be prepared for a fast-paced environment where burnout can happen quickly if your location isn’t well managed.
Again, this is only my experience. Other Applebee’s locations may be much better. I’m just sharing what I went through in case it helps someone considering the job.

I am applying for a cooks position at Applebee's, but I haven't worked in a kitchen before (I worked on food trucks before just not a restaurant) and I'm nervous. Do you like it there, and would you recommend it to anyone? Or should I avoid it?

Came to Applebees for the mini cinnamon swirls…found out they were discontinued

We went to Applebees for a family birthday. The food was fine but after we finished our meals the server immediately brought over the check. We said oh we also want dessert and we were told they don’t have any desserts. I’ve never heard of a restaurant being out of desserts at 6pm. The time before that they were out of ribs and chicken 😅. And that was around 5pm so not the end of the night. What is their issue? Don’t think we’ll be returning.

I recently got interviewed to work at Applebee's. He said to call back on Monday to see if he is able to train me(they can only train one server at a time) and how much he would be able to pay me. Was that his nice way of saying I didn't get the job in hopes I don't call or did I get the job?

The waiter told me the system wouldn’t let him do half off appetizer because the system was ahead in time. But I was able to add it myself on the kiosk. Do they try to prevent you from getting happy hour discount if it’s almost 6pm?

So a couple of times now, my wife and I have gotten carry out for dinner from there, sometimes late at night sometimes at a totally normal dinner time. We also always get one of their drink specials or some other alcoholic beverage. But these past times, I’d say likely the past three or four dinners, we commented to one another on how there really is no alcohol taste in these drinks. They’re sugary they’re fruity they’re flavored how they say they’re flavored but we never really think we can taste any alcohol.

So this most recent time, last night was the last straw. We got the drink, took one drink and once again, absolutely could not taste any alcohol. We really do suspect they’re just sending out syrup sugar filled juice drinks.

Has anyone ever caught a bartender shorting drinks or leaving out the booze entirely ? Should we call the local Applebees or call corporate? It’s frustrating paying for a drink and getting scammed out of an ingredient

How do I report my manager and other employee at my applebeas.

I have proof she gives our manager head occasionally to take nearly all the fucking tips everytime she’s on shift and to get hours.

To explain, at the bar we have a tip jar that our manager splits between us workers at the end of the night. Our tips aren’t usually high but recently it’s been real low and I overheard her saying she made $50 in tips from the jar alone. Recently We been getting like $3-10.

Our manager also has been cutting hours for alot of us so that person has her wanted hours. Like literally this week I was taken off 2 days off the schedule and you want to guess who took it over? Yup. Her.

It’s completely unfair.
