Cameras everywhere and there's no wirless and no smartphone.
We have phone booths everywhere where when you look at one, it displays your name if you have a new message. It can have a color to your name to alert you how important the message might be.
You then go to the booth and you can see the message instantly and then walk away, or voice respond a message back.
At your house, your can look at your monitor or pc where it will show an image if you have a new message. Where you can move closer and it shares the whole thing.
When you sit down at a PC, you don't need to wake it up or even log in, it aleardy knew it was you with cameras litterally everywhere.
Even at the public library, the pc just logs you in. You can have a code if super worried but that's unlikely.
We have no more smartphones, but possible pocket cameras with music playing abilities, note taking and more, no internet required. Or we just have no more smartphones.
It's all Monitors PCs, tablet monitors, or tvs. Where they all have microphones and cameras making them work without touch for responses.
We can even create gestures since we are on camera all the time. Like patting your head to send an auto reply. Or moving your arm up to adjust tv volume, holding it there until it's where you want it.
The cameras could be used for technology only and not for surveillance, though we still have the option to use it for that, lowering our crime amounts.
