so I'm in the process of getting my guard card (level 2) so i can get more positions at the arena. my supervisors gave me and a group a basic rundown of bag checking with the detectors and what to not let in. i was wondering if anyone in the similar field had any tips or information on what to expect in those types of positions.

So, long story short, I may need to contact HR. Im in a situation where the distance and shift times for a post is messing with my health and is too far for me.

Do I have any recourse for this situation that would protect me from losing my hours?

Good Morning, at the beginning of my shift today I accidentally hit accept on an overtime shift when I was trying to read details about said shift. I contacted my Ops Manager who claimed that because it was done through LISA they couldn't make any changes and for me to call off when that date gets closer. Is the Ops Manager telling the truth that they can't change anything accepted through LISA even if it was accidental?

Is this normal? I was given more responsibility and tasks to do, but my pay is still the same as my armed pay rate ($35) it’s been two months

So I recently reapplied for Allied Universal (Once on the 11th and another time yesterday) Both times I was scheduled to have phone interviews (14th and today) and both times neither interviewer called me. I just don't get it. Am I being scheduled with people who don't work there anymore? Am I stupidly expecting a phone call when I should be checking on some other website?

I’ve tried Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. I’ve tried Windows, Linux, and iOS. Sometimes, I can sign in with no issue. Sometimes I try to sign in and just get told “There was an error. Please try again,” only for me to get locked out after hitting too many login requests. I’ve tried resetting my password several times. It’s not a password issue, it’s a login failure issue. Has anybody else had this happen to them?

I had two separate interviews for one job, and a couple of days later they called saying I got the job. I got the emails about the drug screen and background and have completed both.
A day later I got an email which included questions asking if I had a security license, and I said no which led to them giving me the dates for some classes I should attend.
They gave me the dates but not the time or location for my classes and orientation. I have emailed them 3 separate times and still no response up until 3 days ago I got an email saying to prepare for orientation on the 20th (today) at 9am.
I found it weird but showed up anyway because it’s the only form of communication I have gotten from them although it’s been two weeks. I show up anyway to orientation and they tell me I cannot be there without a security license and cannot proceed with orientation so they send me home and the lady tells me to come tomorrow, Wednesday, & Thursday for classes and my orientation should be Friday.
This has honestly been stressful and seems very unorganized so am I wasting my time?
She said I should receive an email telling me about the classes but I have received nothing and it has been hours.

I smoked weed on Friday, its Sunday now, drug test coming soon since they accepted me for a job offer. Am I fine? Mouth swab or urine test?? Any tips? Thank you

I am applying for unarmed Flex security officer

June of last year I got offered a job but I failed my drug test because I smoked but now i haven’t smoked in a few months and I’m better off without BUT will this risk my chances of getting another offer or rehired? Because I recently applied to be a screener and passed the recorded interview now I’m moving onto the 1 on 1.

So i just did my live interview. I got the conditional offer. The person was having technical errors. She said it was giving her an "internal server error." We waited to see if I got the emails for drug screen and the conditional offer. I never did. She said someone will reach out. Anyone experience this before? What did you do?

I went to do a walk-in interview, only to be greeted by reception to tell me that they don't do walk-in interviews and for me to go online.

How can I pass in 1 try without having to re-do and reanswer questions over and over and over again?

I accepted a job as a police officer for allied. I have a couple questions.

How long does the security background check take? They sent me all the papers early last week on Monday. They were pretty quick about sending me everything.

I told them I wanted full time. How many hours will I get?

How extensive is the background check from police compared to security at allied?

Those who know they were offering $23 Night shift to sit in a car doing nothing but trying not to fall asleep for 12 hrs

I was clocking 72 hours one week first week I ever made 2k But now Fifa is gone those hours and pay are gonna be hard to find again and even if i do not gonna be as easy

i’ve got the mvp from anthem through allied , and i’m currently doing 43 hrs but im going down to 30. right now im paying like 45$ a week for it out of my checks and im in colorado . im not sure what the laws are here or how its gonna affect my coverage . is it gonna disqualify me from getting it since im no longer full time or will it like reduce the cost ?

So I work swing shift 4pm-12 and the allied manager or something called me in the morning asking if I could do 4 or 8 more hrs after my shift is over cuz the guy that was supposed to relieve me called out or something? I work the next day too same time so I mean I told him I didn’t mind the extra 4 cuz I’ll have enough time to sleep but I can’t do the 8.. he said he will look for someone to do the full 8 and then he said his goodbyes. So now I am tripping out it’s been like 6 hrs since he last called should I call him again asking for an update? Or just hope for the best after my shift is over and that someone relieves me? I started like 3 weeks ago and never did 12/16hr shift before at any of my old jobs

Did both the ai interview and the 1 on 1 interview. Got sent the offer letter accepted. Get a auto text saying my neo was scheduled 2 hours away from the location i applied and that i needed a dcjs license or a pending application. Im new to security so i wasn’t aware and it wasn’t mentioned in their job post or the 1 on 1. I contacted the recruiter waited several days for him to respond back with we help you get your license. Ok cool get a message saying my neo is now scheduled for a different date still 2 hours away. Then get 2 phone calls one from the site supervisor and one from a different rep. The site supervisor asks would id be more comfortable with an neo closer to the location i was hired at i say yes. He tells me to contact the rep that called so i do. Its the holiday weekend so he said he would get back to me on the july 6th. The 6th comes nothing so i contacted him his response was checking with director and nothing else. I wait 48 hrs text back get a response director confirming availability but in the meantime the original recruiter emails me and i tell him my neo had been changed to a closer location.. he says he isnt aware of any neo at that location asks who i spoke with i tell him no response back. Then today i get a text the posts been filled and to apply for these other posts that match my qualifications. Haven’t heard anything back from any of the recruiters. Did i dodge a bullet because for a security company this seems so very disorganized.

I was offered a job at Allied which would be a $3 pay raise for me ($23.75/hr for full-time swing shift).

The recruiter mentioned hands on. “We are hands on, we go to the fight and take care of it, we don’t wait for police”. I do not mind going hands on however my question is, does Allied go hands on to prevent harm? Or do they legit mean I will be told to apprehend people for refusing to leave, destroying property, or just not obeying orders?

Does Allied allow tasers, batons, handcuffs? I asked the recruiter but still waiting on a reply. Im a bit worried if I am expected to fight people with no weapons haha.

The pay is a lot better than my current job and I love the overtime opportunity. I have fight experience in Jujitsu and Muay Thai and some wrestling but again.. fighting can go south real quick.

I know the Hospital is not a “safe” post compared to warm body. I want a more active site for the experience to eventually get into Law Enforcement. I do not wish to fight more so having more authority than a Walmart greeter would be nice so I am in the very least building experience.

I actually have a few questions. Just got hired.
1. The site is a hospital and the recruiter said I may have to physically restrain people. How true is this?
2. I have to do a drug test. Do they test for thc even in recreational states?( in Delaware). She mentioned I would get a notification where my test site would be and the day.
3. And what’s the deal with this guard card? How long does it take to get?

It’s 102° today. We don’t have a guard shack or any air-conditioned place to cool off, just small canopies. The Client Manager came outside, handed me a spray bottle, and said, “Spray this on your face to keep cool.”

We spend 8-hour shifts in our cars, sometimes 12, and in extreme cases up to 16 hours. Instead of providing proper shade, cooling, or a place to take breaks, we’re handed a spray bottle.
This is exactly how you know you’re just a number.

I know Allied has always had medical insurance, so I don’t understand what this means.
Staying in LA, on the 1st of July is when I was supposed to get a raise per the contract.. however, instead of a raise, I got a huge pay cut because they’re going to offer a benefits package, according to LWO. What I don’t understand is how this is any different from my last raise. Going through it, the previous raise says the same exact thing, and I got the full wages. So are they saying they’re offering something new so I don’t get my wages, or are they just fucking me over? I dont even have medical under Allied.

Long story short, I have a job for allied Universal. saw a flex position open and I was thinking of applying, I was gonna see if I could find some more information for it before I apply though. However I wasn’t sure if I need or should tell my supervisor about this and if I do if I should tell him before I apply, after I apply or after I get the job. My supervisor good, everyone at my post is good so I want to maintain good relations with them. I don’t necessarily think it’s their business if I also have a flex position at different postings but there might be some unspoken rule I am unaware and again I do want to keep good relations if I decide this 2nd posting worth applying for

Hi all, I recently quit Allied and I have some vacation hours that I did not use. They didn't include it in my final check but I am in a state where employers with more than 10 employees has to pay you.

What should I do? Should I report to the department of labor?
